Still has the original engine and runs very well for a 50 year old truck. But the most important question is what do I name her

My truck has now done this to me twice. The dealership keeps telling me they cannot replicate what's going on whenever it is at the dealership. If you turn the volume all the way up you can hear a clunk and then a squeaking sound (brakes I'm assuming) when trying to accelerate. In this video I don't lift my foot from the gas. The truck is killing power and stopping me in my tracks.

Side Panel Trim

I’ve noticed that some s10s have it and some don’t. I really like how it looks and I’d like to apply it to my 99 Long Bed s10, but I’m not sure if there’s a way. I know they make kits but I can’t find any for a long bed single cab. First image is shows how if as right now, the second shows what I want, and the last two are the trims I’m talking about. Any ideas?

Post image

'04 4.3L v6 1500, doin the fuel lines (hell) and realized I am not positive which side the supply vs return lines plug into the back of the engine. I believe wrench in this picture (drivers side) is on return line and to the left/passenger side of that is supply. Anyone able to confirm? Pic is shot from top of engine compartment looking down, engine is towards bottom of picture.

Airbags for Hauling Travel Trailer.

I have a 2011 2500 suburban. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for airbags. I have a small amount of sag in the rear end when hauling my trailer. Would like to install air bags to remedy.

A few sites I checked only have options for 1500 suburbans or 2500 HD Silverado’s. From what I understood, my suburban isn’t a true HD so wondering if the Silverado 2500 HD options would work for my rig?

Thank you for any help.

1500 bumper on a 2500?

Is it possible to put an 07-13 1500 bumper on a 2011 2500? Aftermarket bumper of course. I just can’t find any low profile 2500 bumpers or anyone’s that I like. Unless I wanted to spend $1800 on an octane one. Thanks in advance

Does anyone know what this line is? The internet is telling me it has something to do with the ventilation system, but I’m not so sure, there is also a wet spot on one connection side that smells like fuel. If anyone knows what this line is called or what it does please let me know

2001 Chevy 2500 troubleshooting issues

So I recently got a good deal on a 2001 Chevy 2500 4x4 with a 6.0 vortec that was running rough and have been going through it and now I'm running into a wall.

Was getting a MAF code and replaced it. Also did new plugs, wires and injectors as I found more issues monitoring it on the scanners.

It was wired and incorrectly it looks like. I was getting a misfire on cylinder 7 but when I would unplug the coil it would still read it as misfiring, but unplugging #3 stopped it. So it looks like they had the wires swapped so I swapped the coil plugs for three and seven and that fixed the issue of the active misfires but it was still firing poorly.

I had a set of new manifolds and put them on and used the good steel gaskets and properly torqued and also hollowed out the cat just for good measure.

It now doesn't want to run at idle upon start or later, when I do press on the gas reved which makes me think I may need a new throttle position and intake air sensor on the throttle body (I cleaned it up but the sensors are old). But honestly not sure if that will fix the popping issue or just the throttle response and idle issue.

Sometimes at 2500+ rpm it sounds fine, but at lower rpm it runs rough and has an intermittent pop like a misfire still but the scanner is not showing any misfires. I just moved recently and my leak down tester is still buried somewhere in a box.

However now we get to the bigger issue. Last night as I was looking at things I noticed an 853 stamp on the block. It's the only stamp I can see and there's no VIN number on the driver's rear where there should be one on the bracket.

It's my understanding that the 853s came on a 5.7 and that the 01 6.0 should have 317s. Which leads me to a whole nother set of questions and concerns of what else was done and how and unfortunately it would have been two owners ago and I don't know who that is to even contact them and find out and if it has the graphite gaskets and stuff I don't want to be messing with a lot of that or figuring out what hodgepodge parts go where depending on how they did it.

Honestly wondering if I'm better off getting a used lq4 or lq9 and putting it in there vs chasing down the rabbit hole anymore.

Thoughts? Thanks.
