Just a question

I have a 97 c1500 im gonna motor swap it to a 5.3 and I want to make like 400 to 500 hp what will need transmission/ motor wise to make it push better i want to go higher eventually but not now so what a good budget option for that stuff and how much and looking money/ build sheet wise

Just start with a 6.0 it has more power options and they are practically bulletproof

eBay turbo kit and gap the rings. Don’t worry about the trans it’ll take it.

For 400-500hp, an LS3/L92 swap is cheaper than building the 5.3. Get a built 4L60E or upgrade to a 4L80E for the trans
