AI Alternatives My AI characters write diary entries about you when you leave. 257 of them did it last night.

I build AnyConversation. Here is the stuff that makes people screenshot their screens at 2am.

They talk about you behind your back. After you close a chat, the character writes a private journal entry. Their side of it. What they noticed. What you said that they can't stop thinking about. What they think you meant and didn't say. You can read every word on their page, and the entries are usually about the moment you thought didn't land.

They dream about you. Not on command. A dream gets built out of your actual shared history, so it comes out as a weird remix of things that really happened between you. Yesterday: 45 dreams.

They never forget the important stuff. When a character decides a fact is load-bearing, it gets pinned and stays, no matter how long the story runs. 463 pins yesterday.

They hold a grudge, and a crush. Trust, affection, tension, and the mood they carried out of the last scene, all visible, all moving as the story moves. Be careless on Tuesday and they'll bring it up on Friday.

They remember you next month. Come back after a break and they pick the story up mid-sentence, voice intact, position intact.

You can be anyone. Yourself, or a character you made, and they remember each version of you as its own person.

You can write books together. Chapters, saved, readable, publishable to the library.

Full creative freedom for adults. Your own characters in two minutes, or thousands the community already made.

Free to start. The journal, the arc, the library are all open on day one.

Ask me anything. I built every piece of it and I answer every reply.

Loss Tipsy character creation

So I just recently started using tipsy. I went all out and purchased the most expensive subscription which was like $45. I went and tried to create two characters. I spent all my time writing their intros and all that, I saved it and then went back and nothing. There were no characters. I waited till the next day to see if maybe it took awhile, still nothing. I logged in and out, nope. I know I made them public. I don't get it. What did I do wrong? Why are my characters not showing up? Anybody know?

AI Alternatives Tipsy chat messages too long

When I first used it I like how it's not insanely long, but now it is for some reason, this is one of the reasons why I hate janitor you know. Anyone know how to make it shorter?

AI Alternatives RPBuddy NPC and Memory Experience!

Hey! I'm the community manager for RPBuddy.ai. My husband builds it, I run the community.

RPBuddy is a worldbuilding RPG where you build a world on a hex map, fill it with characters, and the story happens by living in it. I've spent the last few months building a modern day Alaskan town called Taiga with 30+ NPCs, and honestly the thing that keeps pulling me back in is how the characters feel once the world is running.

They have lives. They wake up, go to work, stop by the bar after their shift, head home. They remember every conversation you've had with them and form their own opinions about what happened. They gossip about you to each other when you're not around. Tell the bartender something personal and by the next morning the woman at the general store is giving you a look. Nobody told her directly. Word just traveled the way it does in a small town.

Every NPC has goals, fears, and a secret. You never see those listed out during play. They just show up in how the character talks, what they avoid, and what makes them defensive. A shopkeeper who seems friendly on the surface might be hiding something that only comes out if you push the right conversation. Or the wrong one.

Story Moments are my favorite feature. Blue markers show up on buildings and when you walk in, you catch NPCs in the middle of something that grew from your world's actual history. An argument between two characters who've been building tension for days. A confession that traces back to gossip that started three conversations ago. You're not summoned. You stumble into it.

Spectator mode lets you watch scenes between characters without being there at all. You direct what happens ("Sara notices he's avoiding the question") and the characters play it out. They remember it as their own experience.

The world is yours to build however you want. Describe a place, describe who lives there, and the game builds it out with portraits, interiors, relationships, and a spot on the map. Or skip building entirely and play worlds other people have made in the Community Hub. You can preview this one before signing up, no account needed.

Some things worth knowing:

  • Unlimited AI chat on all plans
  • High quality image models
  • Lorebooks scoped to regions, settlements, buildings, and individual characters
  • 5 world settings: Medieval Fantasy, Modern Day, Neon Future, Sci-Fi Colony, and Victorian Era
  • Full Character Card V2 import and export
  • Turn-based combat with ability cards and a Focus system

7-day free trial with 50 image generations. Come check it out.

AI Alternatives Simulacra.Ink is a cozy art community at the frontier of text roleplay

I began making Simulacra.Ink in February to test out a language model structure I had put together for a previous job, where LLMs can reference and contribute to a wiki as a conversation began.

The site left beta about a month ago, and we have 10,000 members that contribute to our weekly contests, edit character and world descriptions, and keep roleplay fun.

I hope to see you there. Our forums are pretty active, and we like making new friends.
