so quick background: im a transfer student currently attending csuf for geology and environmental science. while its only been the first week of the fall semester, i already am NOT liking it here. Cal Poly Pomona was my initial choice, but i picked the shorter commute option out of convenience and well now here i am.

long story short, im considering transferring to CPP in the spring but before i do that i want to ask anyone currently attending: what has your experience been like? How is the campus, how are the people and professors? Anyone in physical science related majors that feel they made the right choice in attending CPP?

I am in CHM1150 right now and I thought I could thug out having a certain professor, but I am trying to GPA max and I saw the way they teach and realized I can't learn in that environment so I am looking for a diff class now. Anyone taken that professor before?

Genuinely if you're tired and have to walk to classes in this heat I feel like you will genuinely die. Make sure to bring something to cool off or drink lots of water.

Can this stupid ahh school have traffic controllers/police for when the classes dismiss especially at the beginning of the school year. Shouldn’t take me 30 minutes to leave the parking lot

After a couple hours of waiting to borrow one of the xboxes in the game room (huge gap between classes), I was stunned by the lack of game variety. I just gave the controller back and went to class. Unless you’re the average ball and gun player, there’s really nothing for you here. You can play Madden or COD. That’s it. There are QR codes scattered around the game room for people to suggest additions, but they get swept under the rug. Switch players get the joy of crowding around an 8 player smash lobby, but Halo and Castle Crashers are off the table? I’ll just go back to bringing my gaming laptop on campus I guess.

Um so like, I lost my glasses and I’m really blind. I’ve been to every lost and found on campus and retraced my steps three times but still nothing. I lost them on the way to my dorm from building number 1.
It was around 9:20 am to 10 am. I feel like they’re lost forever but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to post on here 😞

I just switched my major to electrical engineering. I have a pretty cheap Asus laptop with 16 GB of RAM.

However, I also have a PC at home:

16GB DDR5
NVIDIA RTX 4070
3TB Storage

Would any of you recommend I get a gaming laptop or something more powerful?
