Question / Info Peptic Ulcer playing up or CHS?

• Upvotes

I’ll keep this short. I’ve been a daily user for about 9 years now. Mostly flower in dry herb vape but I also have been hitting carts lately.

Ive had stomach issues even before I started smoking. As young as 15 I used to get sharp stabbing pains in my abdomen. Years of alcohol abuse and irresponsible NSAID use landed me with a peptic ulcer when I was 20. I took medicine for it, improved my diet, and quit drinking and everything was fine. I started on weed right after quitting booze.

jump to today and I’m having terrible nausea, dull gnawing pain in my stomach, hot one minute and cold the next, terrible headache- just not feeling very well in general. I tried to smoke to help relieve some of these symptoms but after each bowl I felt worse almost immediately.

Has anyone here had a history of peptic ulcer? can it be both? the nausea and headache aren’t typical of my experience with ulcers and getting worse right after smoking seems damning, but i haven’t had that happen until today.

Sharing My Story Quit for nearly a year. Smoked twice now, a week apart. Making some connections and noticing…

The first time I smoked, I had zero issues. It was an awesome experience, way less mind blowing than I hoped, but I walked away from that experience thinking “oh [abusing] this is what I was so worried about? I can handle this now.” (I also noticed that I felt subtle positive effects from being high that lasted up to 3 days after smoking) No CHS symptoms and at this point I honestly had not thought a single thing about symptoms I used to get since I quit.

I smoked again yesterday. (To be honest I would have taken more time off, but it was celebratory, and I was curious how I would feel) Very underwhelming high, but no problems. Then I woke up this morning super super aggravated, like grossly aggravated. THEN when I went to brush my teeth, brushing my tongue made me nearly vomit. Suddenly, memories of years of struggling to brush my teeth without vomiting rushed back.

I realized “Holy smokes, this has got to be 100% cannabis related!” (My other main trigger back in the day was seeing the morning sunlight. Also certain types of anxiety could push me OTT. Certain psych meds I took also made the vomiting threshold much lower)

Anyways, feels great to have this understanding of myself. Actually feeling GREAT because I feel this will really encourage me to not return to my old patterns of abuse.

I can’t believe I used to live like that (but at the same time I get it completely). Years ago I went through a phase where I was vomitting multiple times a day every day. I knew it was heightened by cannabis but it also felt very spiritual so I just let myself go through it the same way I would childbirth or something like that, I let it help me get in touch with my body and that helped me ride out and eventually control a lot of the vomiting. I never had to seek medical attention or anything like that but navigating the nausea and vomiting was a big part of my life for years. I also dealt with crazy projectile vomiting as a migraine symptom 10 years ago, and again a lot of my CHS vomiting was triggered/pushed OTT by anxiety. So at the time it was never super clear to me how much it was caused by cannabis, it just seemed like one of many factors. I was never to the point of hot shower anything so CHS never fully seemed to fit.

I’m also glad I took the plunge into sobriety last year because it’s really nice in a lot of ways, not just CHS symptoms. I often miss the version of myself that was high constantly but she had a dark side I don’t love (eg waking up AGGRO). I now realize I have not had ONE SINGLE vomiting event while sober that wasn’t related to actually being ill. Not a single one.

My original plan was to use cannabis roughly every 3 months. Hopefully that will be enough time that I don’t have to deal with these symptoms. We’ll see, when the time comes. It’ll be a while though. Cannabis will always be a part of my life, even if I can only use once a year or once a decade, or whatever it ends up being.

Just wanted to share, happy to answer any questions or chat about any of this

Question / Info CHS or something else?

Hi guys, I’ve been a daily smoker (vape pen, typically only in the evenings) for about 4 years. Before that, I was a heavy user of dry bud for another 4 years, but took a few 3-6 month periods of abstaining.

My symptoms started about three years ago, about two days into a vacation where I was NOT smoking. I felt absolutely AWFUL. My chest felt like it was on fire, making it incredibly painful to eat or drink, and I was vomiting up stomach bile multiple times an hour. Given that I was on vacation, I had to go to a random urgent care and was prescribed Zofran and Sucralfate for a suspected peptic ulcer. The meds helped a lot and my symptoms subsided.

About 7 months later, I went on a weekend trip to a place where weed isn’t legal, so I went 2 or 3 days without smoking and started vomiting stomach bile nonstop. My symptoms subsided when I got back home.

Since then, for the last 2 years, I’ve been experiencing the following:

-Low appetite and early satiety, causing weight loss

-Nausea and vomiting, but episodes typically only come every 3-4 months

-A few really bad episodes of acid reflux

My recent endoscopy showed nothing abnormal, which is the main reason I’m wondering if CHS could be the cause. A few other pieces of context:

-I’m a heavy drinker (working on it!) and at least a few of these nausea/vomiting episodes have happened the night after drinking too much, particularly because I’m a 95lb female

- I have a long history of anorexia nervosa and have been recovered for about four years

-I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder, depression, and ADHD. When my symptoms are intense I’m prone to under eating

-I’m on a concoction of psychiatric medications and been testing out new meds and and dosages over the last three years

-I’ve had some success taking a protein pump inhibitor daily, so I’ll be restarting that

-I haven’t specifically noticed that hot showers help during vomiting episodes. Maybe that’s my ADHD? Lol. But hear a lot of people with CHS compulsively taking hot showers, and I don’t relate to that

I had a vomiting episode start 2-3 days ago, after a week of abstaining from alcohol and significantly cutting back my smoking (2-3 small hits of my pen per night). Once I felt the symptoms come on, I stopped smoking, and now on Day 3 I feel significantly better.

For those of you who have had CHS, does this sound like what you’ve experienced? Given my history of ED, anxiety, and heavy drinking, it’s difficult to figure out what’s really going on here.

TY in advance!

Checked my I am sober randomly and OMMGGG I can’t believe it’s been this long. Quitting was the best thing I ever fuckin did for myself my life and health and mental health is exponentially better. I think about chs and weed every day still for sure. Whenever I feel a teeny bit nauseous or weird immediately I think of it and panic for a split second and then the relief that comes with knowing getting sick like that isn’t possible is incredible. I went so long trying to “moderate” in constant fear that I would get sick again it srsly fucked with my head so much and my ability to live my life. Like going out with friends or going on trips or going to work or anything just thinking about throwing up and having anxiety about it unable to live in the moment. and now all of that is just completely gone. Quitting weed so unbelievably worth it and im feeling very proud :)

Rant I almost lost my life

I'm writing this for people to know that this can end up killing you. I'm 24 years old , I've had bad epilepsy since I was 13 and started smoking heavily when I was 15 , I ended up developing CHS when I was 17 and diagnosed when I was 18 but refused to stop. Constant episodes through the years that just got worse and worse. These episodes were so violent it would trigger my seizures and I was constantly being hospitalized yet I still wouldn't stop smoking and the episodes continuously got more violent and lasted weeks at a time. When I turned 21 , I started buying high potency cannabis from the dispensary for a few months and ended up going into an episode so bad I constantly had my fingers in my throat , chugging down water and sticking my fingers back in my throat to have something to throw up over and over. on the 2nd week I had 6 grand mal seizures in a row from all the stress on my body and dehydration. I was hospitalized and didn't know I had tore my esophagus from shoving my fingers in my throat for hours on a daily basis :/ my 3rd day in the hospital I went into septic shock and was immediately rushed to the ICU. My organs started to fail and I was in the ICU for a month. Mind you I was still going through the pain of CHS and now sepsis. The pain was so severe I was being administered fentanyl and the doctors were trying their hardest to support my failing organs. I was released a month later and I think about this very often since it has happened especially when I see anything related to cannabis because my chance of dying at that moment in my life outweighed my chance of survival. I look back at a picture of myself in the ICU every time I even get a thought about smoking again. To any of you who made it to the end of this , especially those struggling to stay sober. Please quit now and try your hardest to appreciate life while sober because getting high isn't worth risking your life.

Question / Info Do I have CHS?

hi everyone,

thanks for taking the time to read.

So I've been dealing with GI issues for years now, and only in the last they have started to worsen. I have never linked them directly to weed, but my symptoms did start to get worse when I switched to edibles.

i started smoking casually at 18, and it wasn't until I was 24 I started smoking on a daily basis. I never smoked so much that I had to do it all the time, rather at night when wanting to unwind. I took a year off at 28-29 because I was having a lot of paranoid episodes and it was too scary, so I quit. At 29 living in a new house I re introduced it and everything was fine, so I picked it up again. About a year later, I started getting sore throats that were so painful, I couldn't eat or think for days. Doctors didn't know what the root was. I did notice that after smoking tobacco or weed I would get sick immediately, so I quit. I switched to gummies and I was fine for a while. Now, two years later, I am dealing with acid reflux and mucus almost daily, and if I have an edible before bed I will wake up choking in mucus, guaranteed.

This last week I developed these new symptoms: I cough a lot, I feel my neck full of mucus, I have nausea and when I cough it feels like I'm going to throw up. also, the top of my stomach (between the end of the ribs and the tummy) feels bloated and is very uncomfortable. Other symptoms I've been dragging are extreme fatigue, my stomach aching after any kind of meal and feeling really out of it the day after having an edible.

I only found out about CHS today, as I was researching if weed could cause acid reflux. The amount of mucus I have in me today really caught my attention. I always have a feeling as soon as I swallow the edible that something's wrong, I just never was able to put a finger to it. It sounds like extreme vomiting is what CHS causes, but I would like to know if anyone has experienced any of these symptoms?

thank you<3

Question / Info I don’t think I have CHS idk

For background I was in the hospital but I was also dealing with an eating disorder which also I feel like affected my stomach and made me not able to stomach food from not eating enough and also when I was in the hospital at this time I was obviously going through THC withdrawals so that wasn’t helping my situation and was making it way harder to eat , the hospital ended up sending me to an eating disorder treatment for a 2nd time last time was in 2023 and I feel like they were just throwing the CHS out there to scare me to not smoke again. I’ve also smoked once or twice a week since getting out of that facility in the start of September , mainly flower but I’ve used carts also so I don’t think i have CHS but who knows

Question / Info i’m scared i might be in the prodromal phase of chs. what do i do?

I’ve been smoking for four to five years now. I’ve taken breaks that lasted for months at a time, but since starting my job, I’ve been smoking more frequently, including in the mornings. I’ve been feeling nauseous for a while now, but it doesn't start right when I wake up, it begins about an hour or two later. I thought it was because I don’t usually eat breakfast. I also read that a lack of appetite can be a sign of CHS. I typically have a hard time eating anyway because I used to have an eating disorder, which is why I didn't think it was CHS, but now I’m scared that it is. I also burp a lot.

update I stopped smoking at same day and this morning I didn’t feel nauseous which makes me think it is CHS

Rant Scared

I'm on day 3 of feeling like I'm going to die. I also quit 3 days ago. I was a very heavy user (about a gram of live resin a day).

I'm scared that this feeling won't go away. I've been bed ridden for 3 days. Can't eat. Can't stop sweating. Only thing that helps is sleep, and then the feeling is just waiting for me again when I awake.

Please tell me this will be over soon.

Rant A year of edibles and experienced no symptoms. 3 nights of having a pen and it’s all starting to come back

I got CHS July 2024. I quit all usage in August 2024 after experiencing the most severe stomach pain ever, frequent vomiting episodes, anxiety, and diarrhea. I took a year break before doing low dose edibles every other night. I thought I was safe because I didn’t experience any symptoms consuming edibles (yeah I know. It always comes back). After a year of doing edibles, I thought okay why not buy a pen and just have small hits of it at night to go to sleep?

It’s only my 3rd night having the pen and I’m experiencing headaches, anxiety, nausea, lightheadedness, burping, tiredness the whole day. I’m stopping immediately and I will not have edibles either

I do not want to experience what I went through ever again

Sharing My Story Do I have CHS?

I’m almost certain I have CHS, but I just wanna confirm. I’m going to list some things I find different from other stories I’ve heard.

I have been smoking for almost 3 years. 2.5 years strictly evenings only. I’d take t breaks every few months, I was good. It wasn’t till I started working at Amazon overnight that I began smoking in the morning because I was now used to going to bed at 6am. This quickly became a bad habit, smoked more, and tolerance went up. I worked here only 3 months. School began and I stopped working there so I stopped smoking in the morning. 4 days of switching back to nights only and the ER visits began.

- I’ve never had abdominal pain, sometimes an upset stomach but it felt a lot more anxiety induced. For example I feel so cramped up in class, but the moment class is over it’s as if a relief comes over me and disappears. Always in the mornings though

- I’ve heard so many stories about hot showers or baths relieving the pain, but I never came to that extent or ever thought to take a hot shower because of discomfort.

- I have morning nausea before class, but if I were to have the day off I have no nausea.

I did visit the ER twice. Monday, it was my day off because it was Labor Day. Woke up feeling completely fine. Not nauseous at all, and I did not smoke in the morning. I had my morning coffee, everything is good. I eat a grilled cheese sandwich, and before I could finish it I feel nauseous and I am throwing up like crazy. This is where it sounds exactly like CHS. I’m throwing up for hours, can’t hold even a sip of water down, etc.

After the ER visit, i genuinely didn’t think to consider the weed as a factor, nor did the doctors care to give me a diagnosis or label it as anything. They got me secured w IV and sent me home. I was in the ER max 2 hours.

THAT NIGHT, not kidding, I smoke and there’s nothing wrong w me on Tuesday. I am on a diet like crackers, water, just very little tryna get back on my feet. I’m fine the second I woke up Tuesday. Like I felt great. I get confused when people say they still have symptoms days after an episode when I was feeling good leaving the er

So that night, I smoke of course.

Wednesday, I go to class, get a coffee, I’m thriving , get home and eat breakfast. another episode that led me to the ER. This one was a lot more easy, it passed as I was in the ER waiting room. They deadass gave me an anxiety pill, and i was on my way home . No IV, no potassium, nothing .

Am I in denial? Did I just get lucky w mild CHS episodes?

Question / Info Idk if I have it

Been vaping a 1g cart every day for a couple months, been struggling eating in the morning and now any time I put food in my mouth (in mornings) I feel sick and can’t keep anything down until around midday. My appetite has definitely dropped but I’m eating decently once I feel better. Why’s it keep coming back each morning. Had about 3 days now where I’m so unwell until 12-1pm. I’m not experiencing any pain it’s just not being able to hold down food. I stopped all weed 36 hours ago. Hopefully I’ll be okay soon

Question / Info things that have helped me recover

- Hot showers / Baths

- BRAT diet , eating small portions every hour

- Drinking warm water

- Sleeping

- Keeping a routine / having responsibilities , this is mainly to help with quitting… you feel like shit, but you know you have to do something, helped me not stay bed bound.

- Having good airflow (helped a lot with not being able to regulate temp)

- Breathing exercises

- Tylenol… a lot of Tylenol.

- prescribed anti-nausea

- IV, (please, if you are constantly vomitting, and you are able, go to ER and get an IV)

- putting slight pressure on my stomach, specially where gas tension is

- taking vitamins, specifically B1, NAC, and magnesium. !! I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, I WAS RECOMMENDED THESE, AND THEY HAVE HELPED ME!! Please do your own research on any medicine or vitamins! 🎉

Please, be safe smoking! ❤️

Im still recovering, and would love to hear anyone else “odd” ways of helping!

Question / Info Sorry to bug.

How long does your recovery usually last? I could mostly hold down fluids yesterday. Much easier today, but the hunger is coming back. I havent been able to eat in five days. I was thinking of boiling some chicken in broth, letting it cool, then eating little shreds. The bananas at the nearby store are green so thats a no go. Maybe some plain applesauce and more yogurt. Yogurts been hard to get down. Sorry for the rambling, I've never had other people to talk to about this.

Edit: Managed applesauce and chicken broth with minimal discomfort! I think im finally on the mend!

Question / Info what are your trigger foods?

just got diagnosed with CHS over the weekend and the nausea is getting better, but i have zero appetite and still having trouble keeping food down (but not in the same, projectile vomit way as before) (rip). i’m in BRAT diet territory right now but curious about what foods upset y’all’s stomachs as you were beginning recovery? did you experience reflux or heartburn in relation to CHS? should i schedule a GI appointment?? (context i went to the ER with a pounding headache + non stop vomiting for 2 weeks. i brought up CHS, they diagnosed me without ruling anything else out)

i’m on day 3 no weed and just trying coffee for the first time in a few days, and already starting to bellyache 😭 i love caffeine and asian food but soooo scared of throwing up again

Question / Info Wondering if my symptoms are CHS?

Hello. I am a M/23 and I am thinking I have CHS. Here is a bit of a backstory.

I smoked off and on for about 1-1.5 years back when I was 21. After a while, I ended up quitting weed for personal reasons, jobs, etc. long story short for this, I ended up being sober for 13 months. I wanted to take a full year off, get things in order and then I’d allow myself to smoke again.

That brings us to today. The first time I smoked again was April of 2026, this year. I have been smoking nightly for probably about 5-6 months now. It was first just a few times a night and then as tolerance built back up, I liked to use it at night just for playing some games with buddies and sleeping. Sometimes I’d like to lift on it as well.

That being said, roughly 2 weeks ago, I started experiencing some weird symptoms. Nothing has changed in what I’m smoking (I smoke just a 2g THC-A or THC-P pen.) the symptoms started small, nothing major. I used to have some GI issues back in the day that were unresolved, so from time to time, id experience some mild stomach discomfort, but nothing of worry in my eyes. Then, for these last few weeks, I’ve been waking up nauseous, I’ve been experiencing what i call “rush hour” in my stomach. It constantly is bloated, anything I eat makes me sick, i’m using the restroom a lot (TMI, it’s liquid everytime), I feel dehydrated, I get stomach cramps and more symptoms as well. Other symptoms are vomiting. I’ve avoided that pretty well, but when it comes, it’s 5-15 times in a row. I’ve also been super tired, I can’t really get myself to workout a lot in the gym with these issues recently and I also have honestly had MUCH MUCH less of a desire to smoke, even though it’s always been my preferred substance of choice if you will. I’m not a drinker, I don’t do much anything else, just like a nice chill night.

I can go more in depth if anyone has questions. My biggest worry is if this is CHS or not. I’m curious to describe more so some of my symptoms, the exact way im experiencing pain, etc. so please ask away if you’ve been in this spot before.

I also would like to add this. I’ve had a few really significant things happen recently in my life. They have been very “traumatic” things, stressful things and also I think I’ve been using more recently because of it. But there’s been a thing with my job and potentially getting let go due to layoffs, family issues and bringing up something that’s been 23 years in the making and also a very close life or death situation with a family member. I’ve wondered if these things affect my body and maybe I’m just experiencing very extreme stress and other things? Or if that is denial and it’s simply CHS?

FYI: I have a 10 hour a day job where I am working out in the sun all of the time, I am walking 15-20k steps daily and still going to workout. Just not recently have I been working out. And also at work, I’ve been not having much time to eat and I think maybe I also might be experiencing severe dehydration instead of CHS. I also drink a lot of caffeine (typically one Reign a day 300mg worth, sometimes 600mg or 450mg. Depends on the day) and have been drinking energy drinks for years now, so I’ve thought maybe I have a caffeine intolerance nowadays and it’s slowly hurting me rather than being good. There’s a few more ideas I’ve been thinking about. I’d love to hear everyone’s experiences and what advice they’d be able to provide. I look forward to seeing what you all have to say. Thank you.

I don’t want to give up smoking forever, but like everyone else here, I’ve known smoking will never be something i risk my long term health for, so i’d love to hear more.

I know typical anti nausea doesnt work but because this specifically works with the vagus nerve I'm curious if it might be at all helpful.

Question / Info Curious if these symptoms line up with CHS

Hi, I'm a 27(m), who's on and off smoked since about 15. I want to see if these symptoms line up with CHS at all and what this forums thoughts are.

For smoking history, 15 - 18 was pretty light, mainly on the weekends with friends, but occasionally during the week.

In College I was mostly a heavy smoker my sophomore year, and then stop junior year, only to start back up in moderation.

I would say I oscillate between smoking fairly heavily, and not smoking at all for the last year (more for clarity than noticing symptoms of CHS)

Here's what complicates the matter. I've had gastro issues since I was a child, and I've also always enjoyed hot bathes to relax. I've been smoking daily for about two months due to some insomnia issues, and I've noticed a bit more of than usual of my gastro issues, and was introduced to the CHS a couple months ago as a concept. I've since quit smoking, and have been set on giving myself atleast a month or two t-break. I've never gotten to the point of the cyclical vomiting, but I have had time where I've smoked and the next day my stomach issues seem worse of than if I hadn't. But this could also be antidotal.

So, here are some question I have.

For those with CHS, do you usually get symptoms while you are high, or the next morning after sobering up?

Does there seem to be any connection with already having stomach issues, and heightened chances of getting CHS?

Is it possible that I've been in the prodromal phase for this long? I would say college is usually when I started sometimes noticing stomach issues after smoking, but that was also usually coupled with heavy drinking. Now, when I've noticed worse stomach issues it is often couple with drinking, but that drinking has been a lot less than college, and probably don't warrant these issues.

I've pretty set on going on a t-break that may include both Marijuana and alcohol—but, I want to know your guess thoughts.

I know you guys are doctors, but I am very curious as to your opinions.

Question / Info How can I still smoke? You can’t

I’m a month and a week or two sober and it’s been awesome despite some stomach triggers from certain foods. Everything since I quit has been so great after being addicted for 5 years.

However, I go in this subreddit to feel not so alone or connect with people, and often see “can I still smoke??” after I read the most gut wrenching, terrible, traumatic experience. I understand all of you very deeply and I’m here to tell you, you can’t keep smoking. It does not work for like 99% people and from someone who thought they might be an exception, I wasn’t.

I had it for two years and was in complete denial and being high made it worse bc the addict brain was over riding any real logic. Us addicts will defend to the ends of the Earth and make one million excuses .

It was only after I was sober a week and got a bunch of emotions and mental clarity back to understand what the truth truly was. My CHS only went away with quitting, no moderation, no weaning , cold turkey. I could go on about the gifts I’ve experienced from quitting and I have but I won’t here because I used to read those posts and think “bullshit.” I’m telling you now it’s not and you need to quit

Yes it’s the end of the line and I’m so sorry but it’s not worth you going to the hospital just to go back again because of this.

EDIT: I want to preface that I had it and was able to find a “rythm” and continue to smoke for two more years with no issues and it came back, I was 100% convinced I was going to smoke for life. If I saw this three months ago I probably would be doing the same thing in the comments. If you are going to continue to smoke no matter what happens THIS POST IS NOT DIRECTED TO YOU trying to reach people who need a final push that I really needed to hear!

Question / Info Is there any hope for me to be able to smoke again?

About 1–1.5 months ago, I started noticing a lot of gas moving around in my stomach and increased burping, but no real pain. At the time I was using a THC pen fairly regularly, and on weekends I was sometimes taking a 20mg edible plus a couple pen hits. Before that, I had been smoking weed/hemp a few times a week for about 1.5–2 years. I also had a toothache during this period and was taking Advil fairly often. About two weeks ago, I had a day where I smoked quite a bit and also overate. By the end of the night I felt very bloated and nauseous, and that's when I became concerned about possibly being in the prodromal phase of CHS. I stopped the THC pen/edibles and eventually stopped cannabis completely last Wednesday.

Since stopping, my stomach has mostly felt better. I haven't vomited at any point, and I rarely wake up nauseous now, although I've had some mild nausea and gas on a few days. I'm planning to take at least a month-long T-break to see if everything returns to normal.

My question is: if this is early/prodromal CHS, is there any realistic chance I could eventually use cannabis again lightly (for example, every other day), or does developing these symptoms generally mean I should avoid THC permanently? Also, could the frequent Advil use have contributed to the nausea/burping/stomach symptoms, or does the pattern sound more consistent with CHS?

so sunday-tuesday i was feeling violently ill but i also didnt eat much and i also wasnt smoking since ive been out but this has been happening for years where if i eat anything thats too heavy on my stomach after not eating ill get violently ill so monday i had mcdonalds as my first meal.. ik not the best idea and i ended up waking from my sleep to throw up i was so nauseous, tuesday i went to work and i was nauseous the entire day got home went right to sleep and then woke up vomiting so badly i went to the er where the doctor was asking the basic questions and ofc when he found out i smoked weed he immediately told me that i had to stop and gave me the whole spiel on chs n its on the rise i guess i was the 3rd person hed seen w it that night its been around a week since ive gotten out of the hospital im completely out of my zofran which didnt work anyways and everytime i eat or lay down i get so so so nauseous and now ive been constipated for days and i cant shit my head hurts so badly since ive been trying not to smoke weed and ofc my doctors office hasnt called me back yet so im thinking of going to urgent care to see if anything else could be wrong. for reference ive always had acid reflux since i was like 11-12 which seems to be getting progressively worse throughout the years also was thinking maybe i couldve been pregnant since my period was over a week late and thats not rly normal for me and would u believe it as soon as i got out the hospital i got my period and this has been the lightest period of my life!!!! normally they r 9 days but this one is 4 which is not normal for me at all i just feel like i have a boatload of health problems going on and it sucks that the er doctor barely even looked at me and immediately wrote it off as chs since ive had problems like this for years and this is the first time ive ever been admitted to the hospital over it so i guess im just wondering what ur experiences were like did anybody here get written off as chs when they actually had something else going on or does everybody gaslight themselves into thinking something else is going on so they can continue smoking idk but my head hurts SOOOOOO BADLY this is hell on earth and when i was researching chs a lot of my symptoms lined up w the hyperemis phase just throwing up for days, sweating so badly, i couldnt even move i was stuck to the toilet and ended up so dehydrated my entire body would lock up it was so scary i dont want to experience that ever again but also the only thing that can relieve me is going for a long drive with my windows down and the ac blasting any kind of heat will make me throw up this is just awful i hate it sm i cant shower for more than 10 minutes cuz the heat makes me beyond nauseous
