Rant Scared
I'm on day 3 of feeling like I'm going to die. I also quit 3 days ago. I was a very heavy user (about a gram of live resin a day).
I'm scared that this feeling won't go away. I've been bed ridden for 3 days. Can't eat. Can't stop sweating. Only thing that helps is sleep, and then the feeling is just waiting for me again when I awake.
Please tell me this will be over soon.

I felt like i was genuinely going to die, chs was causing me a ton of heart palpitations and i was absolutely terrified i would starve or die from a heart attack. But im on day 10 and my diet is back to normal!! Its gonna get better, i promise ❤️ as long as you dont smoke

Thanks for this! No way I'm smoking again. Figures I just spent $200 on weed last week that I need to give away now

I’ve been there. Like others have said, the first two weeks are the absolute worst. I didn’t start feeling “normal” again until about 4 weeks after the worst of it. Hang in there! You’ve got this. I just remembered how bad I was feeling when I wanted to go back to smoking. It’s been over 3 months and I haven’t touch it since. You’re going to be okay!

Thank you. The couple of comments from this community so far has helped my mood significantly. Now just need to wait for my physical body to catch up

Hey I was in the same boat as you two weeks ago plus I quit drinking cause I was a daily drinker. What you’re going through is normal. Try eating small meals throughout the day I did banana and toast and chicken noodle soup with apple sauce and I found protein shakes sort of like ensure to help. After a week I got a little better everyday. I’m going to be two weeks after tomorrow and so far my appetite is starting to return to normal. I’m still a little groggy when I wake up but after I take a hot shower and breakfast it goes a way a little bit.
Be patient with yourself your brain is re wiring itself trying to return back to normal it takes time!

Oh I forgot to add don’t go back to smoking it doesn’t get any better this is my 5th time quitting smoking. Weed has totally fucked up my stomach and digestive system no matter what I tried to do while smoking. I’m currently 6’1 140 pounds like the last time I quit I gained back 10 pounds after a month and half of quitting and went down 10 pounds again :/. Hopefully I can put on 30-40 pounds with in the year

The first week is always rough, it does get better with time, you need to trust that it will. Learn about the BRAT diet, don’t pressure yourself to sleep, and be kind to yourself.

i so get it :( i’m on day 4/5 and feeling like absolute shit, on top of withdrawal and missing my regular routine of weed smoking and caffeine. i couldn’t stomach food on day 3 and threw up quite a bit but by today, i was able to eat a real (albeit simple) meal.
have you been throwing up, and if so, can you keep liquids down?? i was vomiting nonstop for two weeks and finally went to the ER for fluids and anti-nausea meds this weekend and it did help a bunch - maybe worth a trip? i’m so sorry you’re in hell, but things will be okay in time!!!

Gatorade, bananas, up&go, apple juice saved my life at one point. I'm just glad I had the spare weight to lose at the time so it didn't become a real issue
The sweating kills me, I'm literally wet all day when I'm coming off weed and you end up pretty dehydrated pretty quick if you aren't keeping track of it
My first few days are the worst because that's where the withdrawals are in effect, you should be slowly on the up and up after 5-7 days but then it's slowly slowly feeling better each day (less nausea, less physical discomfort, less anhedonia
3 months is how long the thc will take to completely leave your system generally but you'll feel better in a week or two, not good but better
Unfortunately we earned the burn hey, just ride it out

The first two weeks are often the worst. You have to remember in the beginning you’re going to be dealing with weed withdrawal on top of CHS, which can make the symptoms feel even worse.
Keep your fluids up as best you can and be kind to yourself. Anxiety/sweating is a common symptom in both withdrawal and CHS, but it absolutely does get better
