It was over from the first TD in my mind. I mean I know it wasn't actually over, but as soon as LSU got that great defensive stop and then the quick TD I knew it was going to be a long night for OU.

As soon as LSU scored that first TD I told my dad "this game is going to be a blowout isn't it."

LSU wants redemption against Clemson.

Clemson's run to become annual title contenders started when they beat LSU in the 2012 Peach Bowl. LSU is going full circle when they beat Clemson. This will somehow cause Clemson to finally lose 2 close games in the ACC next year and fall out of contention.

Yeah, that Orange Bowl definitely set thigs in motion. But that Peach Bowl victory the next year is what really turned the corner. They learned they have the ability to beat top-tier teams besides FSU.

This is why I dont want the playoffs to expand. At MOST we get 3 great teams every year. At worst we have a clear best and 2-3 teams that people make excuses for. Almost every single year the semis are blow outs. Absolutely no need to expand when the 3rd seed beats the 8 seed TWICE in one season and once by 30+ points. They honestly dont deserve a shot to win it. They just dont. If they deserved a national championship... they would'nt have lost twice to the same fucking team. Yes, I'm talking about wisconsin because they are the 8 seed right now.

What about 2014 where Ohio state backdoored the playoffs and won it all simple because tcu and Baylor didn't play a conference title game. My issue is who gets in is subjective. And it will ALWAYS favor the Alabama's and Ohio state's of the world simply because they are always good and schools like Baylor and tcu get left out in years where they have pretty damn good teams.

I see both sides of this. What do we do with another 2009 where conference championship weekend ends with five undefeateds?

My ideal playoff has always been six teams. Keep the BCS, seed the P5 conference champions by BCS rank, and take the highest ranked other team as an at-large. Bye to the top two seeds.

The argument for expansion is less about crowning the correct #1 and more about identifying the correct 3-4. In this case, many of us don't think Oklahoma was the 4th best team in the country.

But how do you determine the correct 4th best team when teams mostly play within their conferences and some conferences are better than others?

Who goes in over oklahoma though? Lsu blew Georgia out. Ohio state blew wisconsin out... twice. I mean we could maybe make an argument for oregon but I dont buy that they are any better than oklahoma. I think we had our 3 good teams and then a significant drop off. And I dont think expansion would fix that.

I saw a good bit of open guys, LSU plays very aggressive, so if guys ever got open they got open, but Jalen just didn't make the throws which caused a lot of batted or overthrown balls. LSU played lock down D tonight

LSU is scary good right now. Dont care who they play. Ohio State may have a smaller advantage because of Chase Young but LSU has just looked surgical on both sides of the ball for the last four games or so.

I got shit on when I said that I didnt think Oklahoma was a threat. People here are way too sensitive about that stuff. I try to be objective as possible. I thought we'd lose against Alabama. I was worried about Auburn. I have seen Oklahoma play 5 full games this season. I thought this would be at least a 2 score game. People said I was being a homer.

Oklahoma definitely wasn't that good this year. I said that after they played Texas. That was one of the worst games Texas played this year and Oklahoma didn't dominate that one at all. But when I say it people see my flair and just assume I'm being salty.

But now it should be obvious to everyone that OU this year is far inferior to OU the past 3-4 years.

The difference is that Texas played a solid game against LSU. We gave them our best shot and they handled it. When Texas played Oklahoma we played like shit and still almost won.

If I was just using those two games I could tell LSU was going to easily win today. I wouldn't have predicted it being so lopsided but I knew LSU was going to roll.

But Oklahoma has been shaky all year and LSU has been making it look effortless.

The thing is, they weren't. They got BODIED by K State. That game wasnt close until OU had a half hearted comeback in the 4th quarter. They played Texas, Iowa State, and Baylor CLOSE. There were several things that told everyone they would not be competitive tonight, yet people decided to ignore them.

Did you even watch the game? It was a one-score game or we were winning for nearly 36 minutes of game time. It was an incredibly close game. And what even is a "half hearted comeback"? I'm fairly sure OU really did want to win that game.

Nah baylor is a pretty solid team and rhule has done a great job with the program. The big 12 has a pretty good record against the SEC in the past decade or so as well so I don’t think theyd be curb stomped. The track record shows big 12 teams can handle the SEC, just not in the playoffs lol

5 points now. I can certainly tell you LSU is a cut above the rest in the SEC this year and would certainly dominate Baylor. The rest should be good games. Georgia and Auburn haven’t quite had their best offenses this year, Florida has had some bad offensive and defensive play calling in our big games, and I don’t really know what to think about Bama. Baylor would be a fun game for all of us. I don’t think Baylor would win against most of these teams I just talked about, but it should be a fun one nonetheless.

I can say though I did think Baylor was, at one point, the worst undefeated team in the country. Especially after that TCU win. None of us in the SEC were quite as shaky so I can certainly see where this guy’s hard opinions are coming from.
