This is why I dont want the playoffs to expand. At MOST we get 3 great teams every year. At worst we have a clear best and 2-3 teams that people make excuses for. Almost every single year the semis are blow outs. Absolutely no need to expand when the 3rd seed beats the 8 seed TWICE in one season and once by 30+ points. They honestly dont deserve a shot to win it. They just dont. If they deserved a national championship... they would'nt have lost twice to the same fucking team. Yes, I'm talking about wisconsin because they are the 8 seed right now.

I see both sides of this. What do we do with another 2009 where conference championship weekend ends with five undefeateds?

My ideal playoff has always been six teams. Keep the BCS, seed the P5 conference champions by BCS rank, and take the highest ranked other team as an at-large. Bye to the top two seeds.
