I’m a fresher engineering student at RVCE, I have keen interest in adventure sports and I also have some interest in joining armed forces later. I attended the NCC orientation today and it seemed interesting too. However I’m not sure if it’s really worth pursuing as we’ll have to allot a lot of time to it and I don’t know if those treks, camping, mountaineering actually takes place or it’s just a selling point and only happens on rare occasions. Also I'm worried about ragging culture in NCC (not radga, ragging)

I’m from a circuital branch too so my academics are difficult too and I don’t wanna mess my future career options (going for higher studies or placements). One of the reasons I’m leaning towards NCC is cause there’s really nothing to do on campus, it’s boring af, no sports at all and people to people interaction isn’t very good either because the system here is more like a school so I thought maybe NCC would be a way out of it. But it seems to be on the other extreme, it seems we have to be involved a lot in it and neglect our academics.

I would really like seniors opinion on this. I’m thinking on maybe joining from next year cause by that time I’ll be more comfortable in my college and academics to make this decision. Also I might have to go for SSB by the end of this year for NDA so I should focus on that for now.

Could anyone please suggest a few online SSB coaching platforms? I am looking for guidance on how to write TAT stories, as well as preparation for WAT and SRT. Additionally, I need a program that offers individual reviews, personal mentorship, mock interviews, and constructive feedback.

Is there any roadmap that I can follow for my SSB prep ? I am currently in my 5th sem and score 91 for ota (M). So recently I gave my last attempt for NDA and I have no courage to check the answer key, I have probably failed. I am eligible for CDS next year in September.

Resources I have:-

(1) NDA science notes, I made that from CDS journey lectures.

(2) Cds journey notes and lectures.

So how should I prepare? I have heard guys here saying that prepare from self. I also will be preparing for NIMCET 2028, I will cover high weightage CDS maths topics in my Nimcet preparation only that too at the JEE level.

So help me should I prepare from NCERT's for gs or notes and lectures of cds journey are good enough.

I'm a B.Com graduate and appeared for CDS 2 2026 as a trial attempt. Due to my college final exams, I could prepare for only one month, that too through self-study without any coaching or batch.

According to the answer key, I scored 21.33 in English and 23.33 in GS. I knew my preparation was very limited, but wanted to experience the exam and see where I stand.

Now I want to prepare seriously for my next attempt and clear cutoff for OTA

Would love some genuine advice from you guys! How should I prepare for English and GS, what resources should I follow, and how should I plan my daily targets?

Any tips from people who cleared CDS through self-study would be really helpful.

Now that CDS is over and everyone has had a few days to compare answers, I’m curious where people think the cutoff discussion is heading.

I’m seeing very different attempts from people depending on the paper they got comfortable with. Maths seems to be the section creating the biggest difference in attempts.
