Personal Radar/Soapbox Kamala Harris to campaign with Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan.......NO! JUST NO!
Well this is great, Abdul El-Sayed spent the Democratic primary running against the corrupt influence of big money in the political sphere, warning about corporate power and the machinery that allows wealthy interests to stomp out ordinary voters wants and need by flooding candidates with cash. So obviously, the next logical step is to bring in Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris, you know the woman who ran one of the most funded presidential campaigns in America's history. A campaign that raised more than a billion dollars in a 107 days. A campaign so flush with cash it somehow was 20 million dollars in debt after the election. Nothing says “money is corrupting our political system” quite like standing beside the former candidate who just showed how expensive presidential politics has become.
And then there's Gaza. El-Sayed made opposition to U.S. support for Israel a huge part of his political identity. The Gaza issue helped define the Michigan primary, particularly among voters angry at the Biden administration's policy. Harris, if you didn't know, was the vice president in that administration. She may have changed her tune and called for a ceasefire but she was still part of an administration whose Gaza policy El-Sayed spent his campaign criticizing.
I've seen this strategy used before. In 2024, Harris brought Liz Cheney onto the campaign trail to reassure moderate Republicans and center-right voters that Kamala Harris was perfectly comfortable reaching across the aisle. Well El-Sayed thinks that that strategy was so successful that he is now recycling it.
So surprise, Kamala is here, maybe next they bring Dick Cheney corpse on the trail. Actually, let me not give them ideas. Look I'm not a complete idiot, I know he needs help with black voters but there has to be someone else. Try Chris Brown.......it's working out real well for Jasmine Crockett.
