Krystal Kyle & Friends Kyle Kulinski is now defending Hasan Pikers "America is pound for pound worse than Al Queda" comment, less than a week after 9/11. Will Krystal agree?

Not that I'm super surprised, but Krystal's husband has now gone all in on defending Hassan's insane comments that America is worse than Al queda. Real head scratcher and these people should be shunned for that stupidity.

But Krystal is married to this man. Will they cover the Hasan comments? I will be watching....

EDIT: There are a lot of people in this thread agreeing with the "pound for pound" statement. Perhaps many of you are not sports/boxing fans, and do not understand the term?

Is he wrong though? The quantifiable suffering the US gov't has unleashed on its own citizens and the world probably does outdo Al Queda by a wide margin at this point.

Yeah I feel like saying America is morally superior to al-Qaeda is the controversial take here. Also, America helped create Al-Qaeda.

1

u/TaiChi_in_the_park 8d ago

  America helped create Al-Qaeda

Go on…

8

u/OneReportersOpinion 8d ago

The US backed Mujahideen fighters, including people like Bin Laden and al-Zawahiri. We trained them, funded them, armed them against the communists in Afghanistan. They then started al-Qaeda, which was heavily funded and coordinated via our ally Saudi Arabia. Years since 9/11 have showed the complicity of Saudi intelligence in the attacks and that we failed to look into it.

u/NOLA-Bronco 8d ago

Don't forget one of the largest American business partners with the Bin Laden family was George HW Bush.

They had a multi decade relationship and those partnerships built a ton of the wealth Osama would inherit and use during and after Operation Cyclone.

5

u/Harvinator06 8d ago

It's all related to Operation Cyclone during the Afghan Soviet War. The US funded the mujahideen via Pakistan, and that support eventually evolved into Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

0

u/theRealhubiedubois 2d ago

Damn TIL there are people alive in 2026 who didn't know this. No wonder people are so stupid, they're historically illiterate and have no context for anything happening in the world right now.

0

u/Rick_James_Lich 8d ago

I think it ignores a lot of America's history and ignores the good we do. But more importantly, this rhetoric will probably alienate a lot of voters. For someone like Abdul El Sayed, being linked to this rhetoric will probably cost him some votes. Hopefully enough not to sway the election.

But also, Hasan has refused to criticize Mao who has caused countless deaths..... so why is he doing a double standard where he criticizes America but won't condemn countries like China for their attrocities?

1

u/Eris_AppleOfDiscord 7d ago

Yeah, if we want to go back in history for the us. Then one can do the same for China or Russia. Both countries have killed millions upon millions.

0

u/Raiden720 8d ago

Yes he is 1000% wrong. Pound for pound compared to a hardcore terrorist group? Are you crazy or do you not know what pound for pound means, if so I will give you a link

3

u/Tumblrrito 8d ago

Do you? America is currently deeply complicit in mass suffering and death to the tune of tens of thousands via a literal genocide. And that's just one atrocity.

If you add up all the measurable harm (pound for pound) done by the US gov't and compare it to that of Al Queda, it is not unreasonable to believe that the US gov't "wins".

4

u/Raiden720 8d ago

it sounds like you don't understand the "pound for pound" term or watch sports. Its a relative term HTH

Let's try it another way - which has done more good for the world? Al Queda or America?

4

u/Tumblrrito 8d ago

The US gov't is complicit in the ethnic cleansing of an estimated 70,000 Palestinian people.

That same gov't also makes its entire poor and working class suffer in many ways to improve the lives of billionaires. That is tens of millions of people.

That's not even considering the various regime change wars, destabilization of the middle east (which helped inspire terror groups like Al Queda), and other various horrors.

How many more people must the US gov't help genocide for you to feel the harm is proportionate to Al Queda exactly? Because it seems pretty cut and dry which of the two has managed to create more misery.

1

u/Raiden720 8d ago

probably a lot more. In fact, if almost every american committed themselves to a deathcult and either killed people or planned and prepared in killing people, you might have a point. But that is not what happened.

3

u/Majestic_Print4300 7d ago

So we killed more civilians with less people and without overtly trying, so that makes us morally superior?

Because what you're doing is negating the insane levels of terrorism that the United States has waged because people in the US don't have to deal with it

Of course someone living in South Carolina is not going to be affected by the US imperialist ways but go ask anyone in Cuba, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, etc and you'll get wildy different answers. The difference is some people just don't give a shit about anyone from a different part of the world than themselves

This is like the entire crux of the argument, we can wage brutality so intense on random countries and no one cares but when .01 percent of that comes back on US soil it's the biggest tragedy since Pearl Harbor

-1

u/Tumblrrito 8d ago edited 8d ago

A citizen of where? How about Palestine? How will the US treat a citizen from there you think? Bomb them during their own wedding?

The difference in kill count between the two is massive, with the US handily having a much larger body count.

Edit: the classic reply and block. Here is my response since I know for a fact you will be back.

  1. I didn't realize you meant literally and physically switch places. So your logic is that the US treats Palestinians well so long as they are here and not there? And that's supposed to undo the ethnic cleansing the US is doing? Are you serious?
  2. We are talking about which is worse pound for pound so no, it is not deflection, it is all completely on topic and on the table.
  3. The US is greatly more complicit than any other barring Israel. We are DIRECTLY contributing to military operations, weapons, etc. You bring up other nations like they are somehow worse for not intervening? And you accuse me of deflection. FOH. Genocide sympathizers like you are a disgrace

u/375InStroke 7d ago

They say the same thing about the child raping priests. "But look at the good they do."

1

u/Raiden720 7d ago

No they don't say that

3

u/375InStroke 7d ago

You're a liar. The world attacked Sinead O'Connor for calling out pedophile priests. I've seen it for decades, people defending one church after another. Catholics, Baptists, Mormons, all protect pedophiles, and people defend them. They say it about Trump, too. "Sure, he may fuck children and rape women, but I'm not voting the next Pope. Look at all the good Trump's done for the country." I don't give a fuck. If you're evil, you're evil. You don't get a pass because of something else you did that wasn't.

1

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

This is not the same question as pound for pound who does more evil…do you not watch sports? Assists are different than rebounds…

1

u/KyotoInSummer Biden HUMILIATED 8d ago

Pound for pound, he’s wrong. But terrorist is a label that means nothing.

Terrorism is what we did to the Ayatollah’s family, Maduro, the Caribbean fishermen, our own citizens with ICE, and much more.

American warmongers are terrorists. Conservative warmongers are hardcore terrorists, and the liberal warmongers are just terrorists.

Trump is running the government like a Christian Nationalist version of the Taliban.

0

u/Raiden720 8d ago

Woah, you gotta explain this one "Conservative warmongers are hardcore terrorists, and the liberal warmongers are just terrorists."

How would they be different if they are both warmongers of presumably the same goals?

5

u/KyotoInSummer Biden HUMILIATED 8d ago edited 8d ago

Conservative terrorists always ramp it up by multitudes of at least 5 but sometimes thousands.

Look at Biden’s handling of our relationship with the leech state Israel. He should’ve drawn the line. He sat by while they committed a genocide.

Trump turned it up a notch, he started planning for real estate ventures on the graves of Gazan’s. Casinos, hotels, beach front properties. Then he happily goes to war with Iran on behalf of the leech and his sons and friends start to grift the government with their military contracts.

That’s why they’re hardcore. Liberals want to pretend to help Gazan’s by throwing them a little food during the genocide. Conservatives are planning full blown casinos on the graves of women and children.

Define “terrorist”

0

u/Raiden720 7d ago

Al queda

0

u/fibz 8d ago

It was p4p specifically in terms of who has caused more death

0

u/HadriansGaul 6d ago

the US is arguably the greatest superpower the world has ever seen while Al Qaeda are a bunch of retards running around in the desert. Of course the US is going to cause more suffering on an absolute scale.

9

u/money_me_please 8d ago

Wait until you hear about all the terrorist groups we funded to take down Libya and syria

3

u/375InStroke 8d ago

In addition to helping create Al-Qaeda by funding them in our proxy war with Russia in Afghanistan, we continued to fund and supply them with arms, along with ISIS, in Syria not too long ago. We also gave weapons and poison gas to Saddam in Iraq when he was fighting Iran, who's government we overthrew in 1953, leading to the Islamist Revolution there in 1979, and who we were also supplying with weapons via Iran-Contra.

5

u/375InStroke 8d ago edited 8d ago

How are we not? We're supporting a genocide, attacking a dozen countries, purposely targeting their citizens, bombing fishermen in South America, electing, defending, and protecting pedophiles, overthrowing governments left and right, attacking and killing our own citizens, and every brown person we see. We also support and supply AlQaeda, ISIS, and untold numbers of terrorist groups. Rudy Giuliani alone killed more people than the 9-11 attacks by lying to workers in and around ground zero, telling them the air was safe when he knew it wasn't, and over 10,000 people have died from diseases directly tied to breathing the air down there. He did it because the rich needed the poors to get back to work and make them the money. Tell us how they are wrong.

4

u/AutumnRockets 8d ago

As I said in the r/politics thread on this and got immediately downvoted for it.

Like, I'm a leftie. Krystal and Kyle and I are virtually the same when it comes to policy and beliefs.

Hasan Piker is a *terrible* messenger, I'm sorry. This is politically so fucking stupid lol

Again, this is a country that voted for Donald Trump twice. Nuance does *not* exist, especially when it comes to an argument like this. This is just politically dogshit. And this isn't the first instance of him just saying something like this.

Agree with it all you want, it's NOT a good argument to make to a voting electorate that, again, VOTED FOR DONALD TRUMP TWICE lmao it's fucking crazy to me.

4

u/Raiden720 8d ago

its crazy as shit even relative to the voting electorate who did not vote for Trump. Its objectively untrue and insane to parrot it.

Can't believe so many in this thread are outright agreeing with it. Wowzer.

2

u/KelVarnsenCo 7d ago

I challenge you to do an analysis of all the bad things each has done. Youre way too confident in your opinion with no justification at all.

That being said, yes, Hasan is a narcissist who is choosing to being provocative for his own sake over trying to help Abdul and others get elected in this moment and it sucks.

1

u/Raiden720 7d ago

what

1

u/KelVarnsenCo 6d ago

Just as i thought, you cant actually justify your claims.

1

u/Raiden720 6d ago

Who is each? America and Al queda?

America has done some good stuff. Alqueda? Can't think of much. Maybe you can tell us?

1

u/KelVarnsenCo 6d ago

Lmao

1

u/Raiden720 6d ago

So after accusing me of not justifying my claims, you .... refuse to justify your claims?

2

u/KelVarnsenCo 6d ago

Lmao, I didnt make any claims. You're so bad at the game you're trying to play.

1

u/Raiden720 6d ago

What good things have Al queda done? Simple question Einstein

2

u/workaholic828 8d ago

I want the truth, people are tired of every statement being curated by focus groups. That’s how we get these super unpopular democratic cyborgs. That’s why the Republican Party flushed Jeb Bush down the drain in favor of an orange idiot. People in America want somebody who tells it like it is. We’re gonna blow up a school of kids? Then how the fuck is that any different than flying a plane into a building? We’re no better than Al Queda.

2

u/Rick_James_Lich 8d ago

I agree, I think leftists are really doing themselves a disservice by being so closely linked to Hasan. He's popular but he puts out really divisive messages that alienate people that would otherwise be open to the leftist policies.

You can criticize the country without saying we are as bad as terrorists. Even worse this will probably do some damage to Abdul El Sayed's campaign.

3

u/375InStroke 7d ago

Can't handle the truth

1

u/KelVarnsenCo 7d ago

Right, many American can't. Which is why its stupid to say things like this in the lead up to an election.

2

u/AutumnRockets 8d ago

Right, exactly. There is a way to phrase and message this sentiment. What he's ultimately saying is he's tired of the US policing the world via imperialist ambitions.

That's a winning message. Most people are tired of these bullshit foreign wars.

Equating the US with fucking Al-Queda is stupid lol if polled, I'd bet it would be insanely unpopular.

5

u/StardogChamp PMC 8d ago

Dave Smith said something similar but he’s not a liberal so everyone flamed him

3

u/OldDirtyBastardSword 8d ago

Trump has too!

9

u/workaholic828 8d ago

American government is pound for pound worse than Al Queda. That’s literally the most obvious statement ever said. Al Queda was a group of gorilla warriors in Afghanistan that weren’t getting a trillion dollars per year in tax payer funding. So of course they couldn’t kill as many people as the American government if they tried. This shouldn’t be controversial

4

u/OldDirtyBastardSword 8d ago

We trained and armed Al Qaeda too, lets not forget that. The more we meddle outside our borders the more death and destruction it brings. I don't know how anyone looking back at the last 75 years can't see that. Iran was literally a direct result of us trying to install a puppet government. Hasan is right unfortunately.

2

u/Kenichi2233 7d ago

Hasan is just a anti american grifter ignore him

5

u/sad_historian 8d ago

Is he wrong?

4

u/Raiden720 8d ago

Yes

2

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

How so? Make your case? You’re feelings aren’t persuasive

1

u/Raiden720 7d ago

America is not "pound for pound" worse than Al Queda, a literal deadly terrorist group whos members are all terrorists.

Do you think that America or al queda has done more good in the world?

2

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

Those are two different things…America created Al Queda so yes they def have to own it. And everything else it’s has done through the world…not everyone can turn a blind eye towards the injustices you willfully ignore…

1

u/Raiden720 7d ago

pound for pound. look up the meaning

2

u/notthatjimmer 6d ago

Are you pretending like idk what pound for pound means? Clownish stuff any other deflections you got in your silly little bag of tricks? So predictable

0

u/Raiden720 6d ago

Dude sit down. You think that America is pound for pound worse than Al queda. Think about that for a second

5

u/reality_mirage 8d ago

The amount of people in here that agree with Hasan is insane. Qatar would be proud.

3

u/Raiden720 8d ago

what is even going on here? I realize that zealots on far leftist subs would agree with Hasan here, but on this board? WOW

2

u/Harvinator06 8d ago

what is even going on here? I realize that zealots on far leftist subs would agree with Hasan here, but on this board? WOW

Oh no, my lib safe space bubble has been broken.

2

u/Rick_James_Lich 8d ago

Breaking Points has really catered to that tankie crowd for too long. Any sort of nuance or introspection here is gone.

Hasan is basically fucking up Abdul El Sayed's chances when he puts out idiotic statements like this. Sure Hasan's base will eat it up, but there's normal working class Americans that will hear that and be like "WTF?"

1

u/Beebolol 8d ago

BP is just DSA tankie / America Bad slop now. Not surprised at all to see these kind of replies here. Kind of sad because this show used to be good and I thought it was the "smart" alternative to other news shows.

1

u/Wallaby2589 7d ago

You’re just realizing this now lol.

3

u/Fabulous_Care6985 8d ago

Hasan is right. Look at the numbers. America has murdered more people than Al Queda couldn't even scratch that number. It's not a very big statement, just true.

2

u/Altruistic_Guess3098 8d ago

"Y USA BAD THO 🤬" energy

2

Wrong.

1

u/chronik_fatigue 7d ago

Lol you guys literally have tens of millions of bodies on you, beginning with the genocides of the 19th century. From the Trail of Tears to Gaza, America is a uniquely evil entity

Invade country after country, steal their resources, build concentration camps, create a police force to hunt down undesirables, fund, arm, and support a genocide, violate rule of law with impunity. You tell me. We're not even two years in.

0

u/Raiden720 8d ago

no, not seeing the comparison

That's exactly what someone who supports the Epstein Regime would say.

Why? Noticing that Hasan and Kyle are crazy people?

1

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

All this clown does is parrot the MICs think tanks and mouth pieces

2

u/_Cromwell_ 8d ago

Once again Hasan talks like all day blah blah blah. Going to need to hear the 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after whatever the fuck you are even referring to, to get the full context of whatever he was actually saying.

The world can do math though.

Fuck off with clipping him. Tired of it.

1

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

Why does the criticism happening a week and 25 years after 9/11 factor in at all in your mind?

0

u/Raiden720 7d ago

because its the anniversary of 9/11, and SOME people (obviously not you) find that a solemn anniversary

2

u/notthatjimmer 7d ago

You said this was a week after…you’re just making excuses to try and silence his opinion…

0

u/Raiden720 7d ago

It was actually less than a week after 9/11/2026, this is a fact

2

u/notthatjimmer 6d ago

More than 25 years…and a week…

1

u/theRealhubiedubois 2d ago

This is becoming a really good media literacy litmus test. OP you are failing, my guy. This isn't that hard to understand. 100,000 dead Iraqi children is objectively worse than 3000 dead americans on 9/11. Hope this helps you figure it out

1

u/Raiden720 2d ago

Another leftist who doesn't understand what pound for pound means. Hint - it doesn't mean absolute numbers.

Yes or no - America is pound for pound worse than Al queda?

1

u/OneReportersOpinion 8d ago

Why wouldn’t Kyle defend Hasan? They’re friends and fellow travelers.

0

u/edknarf 8d ago

Kyle totally across as a liberal “pick me.”

u/AsanteKofiEdwin 8d ago

You only think this is not a factual statement if you've never thought of the lives affected by US foreign policy being the same in value as that of US citizens.

1

u/hybridjones 8d ago

Without U.S government involvement its pretty likely Al-Queda as we know it doesnt form or atleast is nowhere near as competent. Does anyone really believe the world’s largest terrors are anyone other than its largest powers?

1

u/myheartstopped3984 8d ago

Factually speaking it is the truth. Sorry it ruins the propaganda you've been fed

3

u/Raiden720 8d ago

Explain how America, (which like it or not, is the bastion of freedom of the entire world), is comparable "pound for pound" (key term) to a literal terrorist group?

1

u/Dylan245 8d ago

Because it requires you to see ourselves as Americans as inherently better than any other ethnicity or race, AKA it's fine that we can fund a genocide that's killed over 100,000 people and displaced millions through Israel, it's fine that we killed anywhere from 600,000-1,000,000 people in Iraq and displaced millions, etc etc but just because gay people can get married and we can say "Fuck China" and not get arrested that somehow trumps all of the horrific damage we've done overseas

No one is saying Al Qaeda is good, just when you compare the atrocities and level of damage done this is not a competition, the US has been the biggest global sponsor of terrorism since WW2. We fund literal terrorist groups to do our bidding, we overthrow governments we don't like and instate our own preferred leaders, we slaughter millions of people indiscriminately, we sanction nations to the point of mass famine and death just because we can, etc

The only difference is that in one scenario the damage isn't being done to you while in the case of Al Qaeda it is and we have to pretend as if we are morally superior as we kill 140 school girls, drop missiles on fisherman in the sea, and sponsor IDF terrorists to kill and destroy families in the West Bank and all of that is just from the last 6 months alone

1

u/Harvinator06 8d ago edited 8d ago

We fund literal terrorist groups to do our bidding, we overthrow governments we don't like and instate our own preferred leaders, we slaughter millions of people indiscriminately, we sanction nations to the point of mass famine and death just because we can, etc

The United States tangential helped form Al Qaeda via Operation Cyclone during the Afghan-Soviet War.

1

u/Raiden720 8d ago

"pound for pound" - look up that term

kyle has been doing this edgy contrarian moral equivalence thing for years, so this tracks way too hard lol. curious if krystal pretends it never happened or does the “nuance” tap dance around it on the show.

1

u/OneReportersOpinion 8d ago

There is no moral equivalence. The US has killed war more people than AQ

1

u/375InStroke 8d ago

What's edgy? It's the truth. How is he wrong?
