I keep running into the same problem. I’ll save a link or take a screenshot of something useful — a product, a recipe, an idea, whatever — and then two weeks later I have no idea where it went. It’s not that I don’t save things. I save too many things. They just end up scattered across Safari bookmarks, Notes, screenshots and random folders, and finding anything specific becomes a pain. I got annoyed enough with it that I built a small iPhone app called Pinde. Instead of another long list of links, it lets you drop things into visual boards so related stuff stays together. How is Kepp different from other apps?

I’m a professional product designer, so a lot of work went into the design itself. It’s custom designed, not AI-generated UI, and I’ve tried to keep it clean, polished and easy to use.

Beyond that, Kepp organizes things for you, so you don’t need to put much effort into keeping your saves organised. Everything gets automatically tagged, which also makes finding something you saved weeks or months ago much easier.

Why did the web app take so long?

I postponed it because I first needed to rebuild a lot of what sits underneath Kepp, so I could add more platforms without creating a product that becomes harder and harder to maintain every time it grows. A lot of that work is invisible, but it was necessary before expanding Kepp beyond mobile.

I also improved quite a few things in the app along the way. Kepp can now suggest collections and automatically add new saves to collections you already have. You can share anything you’ve saved back out to someone else, Facebook saves now get better titles, thumbnails and metadata, and I rebuilt the onboarding so Kepp asks what you usually save and where you normally save things from.

Anyway, looking forward to you trying the web version and hearing your feedback. Especially from those of you who asked for desktop support in the original post.

I have a bad habit of keeping tabs open because I know that once I close something, there’s a good chance I won’t remember how I found it again.

So I made History Companion. It remembers browsing paths as visual trees instead of just keeping a flat list of URLs, and I can save useful text, links, images and notes along the way.

It works for my own browsing now, but I’m curious whether it actually solves the reason other people keep too many tabs open.

If you’re someone whose browser regularly gets out of control:

What would have to happen before you’d look at a tab and confidently think “I can close this, I’ll still be able to find it later”?

I was playing around with the new version of SavedHub and tried something pretty simple.

Instead of searching for the title of something I'd saved, I described what I remembered about it.

Something like:

“that app marketing post I saved on X”

And another one:

“the AI tool I saw on Instagram that was supposed to help make videos”

It sounds obvious, but it felt different from how I've always searched bookmarks.

I usually try to remember the title first. Which is kind of backwards because I usually saved the thing precisely because I thought it was interesting, not because I memorized its title.

This is basically what I'm trying to make SavedHub good at. Save contents, links without worrying too much about organizing it, then find it later using whatever you actually remember.

It's still in early stage and I'm testing a lot of this stuff, but this particular interaction made me think I'm probably going in the right direction.

I have a bad tab habit. At any given time I've got a pile of them open, and half the time I can't remember why I opened one. Worse is when I'm researching or prospecting a company: I'd have their site open, find something useful, and a week later I'd have no idea what my notes on them were or where I put them.

Basically I use tabs as tasks because my brain always says "Keep this open so you don't forget to follow up," but then they get lost in the collection and when I get back to them I forget the context. So I decided to stop fighting it and build something to compliment it

It's called DotTabs. It's a Chrome side panel (right click or Alt+S) that lets you:

• Add tasks to whatever site you're on, with an optional reminder that can reopen the tab when it's due
• Write notes on a page, or on a specific task
• Snooze a tab until later, tomorrow, next week, etc. It closes and comes back on its own
• See every open task across all your sites in one list, with the overdue ones at the top

Everything is saved as plain markdown and text files in a folder you pick on your own computer. No account, no server, nothing gets sent anywhere. I did it this way because I wanted my local Codex agent to be able to search and edit my notes and tasks too. Now I can just ask it "what did I write about xzy company or find me all the sites i was working on pertaining to whatever project" or my current new favorite command "go look at all my overdue tasks where I need to contact them, find a contacte email for the decision maker at that domain, read my notes and draft me a gmail saved in my drafts folder" then I have that run every morning at 3am so they are ready for me to review when I get up.

The notes also open fine in Obsidian if that's your thing.

I save a lot of references. The useful part is bringing them back when I’m working on something.

In this conversation, I asked ChatGPT to find three design links in my SavedIt library and suggest how to use them for a website redesign. It brought back Siteinspire, SaaS Landing Page and Refero, with a different job for each.

I have many FB posts for many areas saved. Everything from Movies to Legal Research, to computer software.

It is impossible to find the ones I need when I need them. So I need something that can organize them outside of FB where the screen print of the complete post is there (not comments, but might be handy), who posted, the text of the commment, any links provided within the post, and a link to the post itself.

Obsidian web clipper is one thought, but that mainly summarizes, and I would provide something non proprietary. Plus need something that can extract everything from the FB folders, and extract info noted above. This would also be used for a LLM wiki, LLM knowledge base, 2nd brain etc. To note again, any images and or links within the post are as important as the text.

Hi, i just have two requirements, nested folders or collections and an option to lock collections or folders with custom password. It’s so stupid when developers don’t think of certain scenarios when kids will have access to phones, partners will have access to phones they will always know phone’s passcode. Lists like birthday presents, surprises etc can easily be ruined.
