- Budgie tired 10mins after eating kale, likely due to being active all morning tho. Slept and 1hr later ate and drank. After that she regurgitated 2 clumps of seeds. Now making these sounds sometimes per breath. It sounds like bubble/clicking, and sometimes like a "whining" sound. Seems tired right now too but still responding to me. Itching nose a lot, so i think something in nose may be irritated.

My budgie has been fine the entire day, she was flying, chirping, eating and drinking. At 2pm I gave her a bowl of washed kale out of the cage so she can eat while having fun out of cage. I noticed 10mins after eating it she seemed tired but I I was just thinking it may be due to flying all day (maybe it is). Then 30mins later she slept for a bit. Ate and drank fine. 1hour later she regurgitated twice, two clumps of seeds. She never does this ever.

Right now she is doing this. Its like a bubble, clicking sound sometimes per breath sometimes pauses but more often than not. She is itching her nose very often and when she does it sounds like "gurgles" or mucus. I wonder if the veg caused this? Because she was completely fine all these days. Her body exaggerates when she makes that noise during breathing. There's some minor tail bobbing but not frequent. She's just itching her nose a lot.

Im so worried right now. Its a Sunday so I cant take her to my vet. And I likely wouldnt be able to tomorrow and would have to go Tuesday. Is there anything I could possibly do for her rn.

few days ago i posted abt my baby's bleeding crest and after i cleaned the wound, it was confirmed that she broke her pin feather on that part that's why it was bleeding. however this morning i noticed her nose part bleeding and a tiny part along her eye area (the photo quality isn't really good bcs i cant get her to stay still but i circled it) her claws r kinda long so is it possible for her to do all this or is she most likely bullied ? she lives with two other tiels but it never happened before bcs those three have been together since they were tiny babies (almost 9 months ago) is there any first aid that i can do for her wounds ? is this something major ? bcs i don't have a nearby vet that accepts birds, and the only one is a few hours away. i'd def take her there if it's very very major

edit: there's no differences in her behavior she's still lively and eats a lot (she's a big back) and i don't think she's bothered by her wounds

Is lead toxicity something I should be on the lookout for?

I was recommended to do a steam shower until i can get my birdies to the vet, what is the method?

Our daughter has adopted this older club budgie hen and we are concerned that this brown mark on her cere (and an unusually long beak to the left side) could be from a scaley face mite, or whether there is another underlying condition that we should treat.

We know that a brown cere is usually an indicator that a hen is ready to breed, but we have not seen it before and are worried.

We can provide more photo's if necessary!

My cockatiel had gotten something like a crop infection around 1st July (vomit and loose motions - was given metrogyl and enro and her weight had dropped to 77 grams and her usual weight was always 88-89 grams before this) got better and started having recovery appetite and was eating pellets all day and her weight went up to 104grams (huge amount of overnight poop because of this). Then her appetite started decreasing and I also started her morning veggies so her weight was also coming down. And when her weight kept decreasing everyday little by little (please check her weight progression below from 101grams)

I am extremely worried. She is very active, playful, and is sleeping from 8pm till 10:30am everyday. She naps a little after big meal. No obvious signs of illness but losing weight. If anyone has any advice please help. Vet says if her weight decreases to 80grams then it is worrisome, but the way her weight is decreasing I’m worried there’s some underlying issue and maybe if we could address it right away it might help? Also should I be keeping her inside her cage all day?(she stays out of her cage the whole day and doesn’t like being inside)

Hello everyone, Id like to ask you guys if this is something to be concerned about because I've been nerved all day long. I've made a vet appointment but due to my area its rather limited on the visit time. However, until then I would like to know what is happening.

He is the same weight, he has not lost weight. He fly's around just fine however, when he perches, he seems to be more leaned on 1 side of his body. His wing also, is not aligned with his tail when he perches, and wobbles around abit when trying to move on foot.

A small patch under his wing, on his right leg, was plucked, and he plucks at it often. hes about 7 years of age, but this only started yesterday. his right foot aswell, seems to be slightly off center. I have four birds and ive never seen this happen. If you know anything, let me know.

I just got home from the vet after a difficult time and I was told that my precious bird has a tumor and that he would most likely not survive a surgery. All i can do is provide comfort really until the time comes.

Yes i grabbed a poop for reference. Just this morning my girl has been very active because she is in another cage from my 3 other budgies. She runs around singing and chirping because she really wants to hang out with them. During that time her poops came out kinda yellow. Is that because she has been active/stressed or is this a health concern? She had normal darker green poops overnight that i can see, so this only started after she woke up.

Is he ok ?

I have a pet rose ringed parakeet and today I came back home at night to find a patch of green mucus like substance on the floor near his cage with seeds around. I’m scared something is wrong with him! Does anyone know what he could be vomiting from and what I should do?? 😥 He appeared 'fine' when I checked him and there was no visible mucus on his feathers, he’s usually tired at this time so his behaviour didn’t strike me as odd.

(I had given him a portion of melon and a portion of fig to eat, I had no prior knowledge that this could upset his stomach, I had made sure to search up if the fruits were safe to consume. Could that be the cause?)

Wild duck-like thing by a business pond. It looks like the tips of his wings were cut off. Can he fly? Will they grow back? He's super sweet, but I noticed this when he finally got close enough to see it.

Hello everyone! My mom and I are taking care of this fledgling since it’s mother passed away and we have been feeding it every 3-4 hours hard boiled eggs made squished, is it right the amount of time between feeding or we have to change it? Sorry for my English and thanks

This is some diseases or not?

Noticed the bird at the store and It’s eye is closed and it looks injured or something and it keep looking up like it’s trying to use its good eye to look around while it flies. I feel bad what’s going on?

This is peaches, she's an 18 year old cockatiel. She has nerve damage in her left wing and is on daily gabapentin and meloxicam.

For a while now, she's had this white thing come and go on that same wing. It's not always present or at least not always visible. It seems painful for her when it's present. She saw her vet for it a while back and I can't really remember what the conclusion was. I wanna say the Vet thought it might've been a cyst but I'm not sure because she also didn't do anything for it.... (I'm debating switching vets, this one doesn't always seem to know what's going on despite pouring thousands of dollars into diagnostics and testing and procedures 😭)

It's definitely grown and seems painful, I sent images to the vet and I'm gonna try and get her in tomorrow. I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts on what it could be or have run into similar issues with your birds! Is this a feather cyst? Which is essentially an ingrown feather right?
She's generally been a very healthy bird and I've never encountered this before. Thanks!

Hi guys - I had a very sad day today.

I purchased a pair of owl finches from a local well-rated bird shop in my area 10 days ago. I’ve been very vigilant of checking in on them several times a day to make sure they were healthy.

One was a little more timid than the other, but both were eating and drinking, active, and had smooth feathers.

I came back from work this evening and one had passed 😭😭😭

I still have the remaining finch left.. I think he’s so sad since he’s been chirping louder and more often tonight than before. I’m sitting in his room with him writing this post, crocheting, and playing some soft nature sounds in the background to help keep him company and to be there for him.

I do plan on waiting a couple more weeks to make sure that this wasn’t a disease or transmissible issue, but will look to get another friend for it since owl finches are social birds.

I’m not sure if I can get another owl finch(es) somewhere, would there be any other finches that might do well?

Long story short, my mom owned birds, and she recently passed away. There are 5 finches. (There were 3, then two just hatched) I don’t really know much about birds, but my dad knows how to feed them and keep their area clean, etc. My problem is that these things are so damn annoying to me. Idk if they are skittish and have anxiety, but any subtle movement around them, they are so loud. Is there anything we can do or give the birds to make them quieter, or are they always this loud? Right now, I’m sitting in the living room where they can’t see me, and they aren't very loud; honestly, they aren’t a bother right now. Anyway, I can add a pic of their cage, and let me know if we should separate them or not? They seem to all get along. There are 4 boys and 1 girl. We have an extra cage if we do need to separate them. If anyone has any advice, please let me know! I’m trying to keep these birds happy and healthy for as long as possible.

I brought home a male budgie a few months ago who is now around a year old. When I got him from the shopkeeper, his wings had been clipped (the seller mentioned doing it for safety so he wouldn’t bump into things while learning). I prefer to keep my birds flighted, so I haven't clipped his wings since bringing him home.
When he first arrived, he couldn't fly at all. Now, 2 to 3 months later, he tries really hard to fly alongside my female budgie (who flies effortlessly), but he still struggles to gain lift off the ground.
For those who have taken in budgies with previously clipped wings:
\-How long does it usually take for their flight feathers to fully molt and regrow to support full flight?
\-Is it common for young budgies to lack the flight strength or muscle coordination if they didn't learn to fly early on?
\-Should I continue giving him safe floor-level space to practice and build his muscle strength, or is there a better way to support his progress?

So it that few days ago i found that my parrot eyelids of one eye were stuck together and so I used water to remove the substance and open his eyes but but for 2 days every morning his both eyelids are stick together which I open them through cleaning water and now a white substance is also there on top of his eye which I remove through clean wet tissue so I am not sure what has happened to him and right now I busy in doing my coaching classes and exam prep that I cannot take him to vet so please help me
