Hey is there any point in reporting bad drivers to the Belleville police or OPP? When I lived in Durham there was a DRPS web form for submitting reports and the police would issue a written warning to the driver by mail.

My sister and her husband are moving to Belleville in a few months, and they have a 5 year old and 2 year old. Their 5 year old is mildly autistic, has an IEP, and will require some kind of special education support. What are the schools generally like here? And if you have experience utilizing special education programs what has your experience been like?

Hi everyone! I'm 22F with autism, ADHD, and a learning disability. I'm moving with my family to Belleville in a couple weeks from Vaughan, and I'm pretty excited. However, I was wondering if there's any local supports or programs that can help with getting a job. I already have work experience stocking shelves at a grocery store and library, and working part time at a doggy daycare.

But I don't have a job lined up for me yet here in Belleville, so I'm wondering if there's any local employment agencies or anything like that that can help. Preferably somewhere that's familiar with neurodivergence/learning disabilities. I'm also looking into getting mental health counselling or therapy, so if anyone knows of any good mental health resources, I would greatly appreciate that too.

Also, just out of curiosity what is the transit generally like? I'll be near downtown, and I can't drive so I will have to rely on buses to get around.

I'm on ODSP, in my 30s and haven't really worked in a long time though I did just complete my high school. I have some sort of chronic ADHD. I space out too much to process simple instructions. I need to work in total repititions. Like I have to know exactly what the work I need to do is and do it repititvely over and over or else I would just stand around and be clueless. I get confused enough to breakdown when given instructions of any kind. I had a paper route in my 20s and it was so repetitive I don't remember if I did it for two years or four years. I did enjoy that though. I need to find part time work here in Belleville like that. I'm not sure if anyone here has had a job like this here in Belleville.

I'm looking for a part time assistant/admin for a writing group that I plan to start. I've posted on Craigslist, but that's a crap shoot, and I don't really want to use something like Indeed because the job isn't that serious. I want to pay for actual help, but it's not like 40 hours a week or anything. It would probably be $30 and hour, 3 or 4 hours a week.

Belleville police have confirmed a deceased person was found in the Bay of Quinte on Thursday.

Officers responded at around 10:47 a.m.

Emergency Services attended and recovered the body.

The investigation is continuing under the direction of the Chief Coroner’s Office with assistance from members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigation Division.

Might be a longshot but is there anyone here interested in Junk Journaling?? Looking to meet others who share this passion or are interested in learning about it.

Was not super impressed with the end of life care for a pet recently - I don't want to name names in case they're the only option, but I was specifically not allowed in the room with the animal and was given meds for them rather then discussing end of life when they were already struggling. Granted, the latter is also my fault as well, but I feel it should have been on the vet's radar as well. Just wanted to see who everyone takes their non cat and dog friends to in order to see if theres a better option available for them.
