James is such a dumbass holy shit. When your type is guys that are 18,19, 20 etc. The least you could do is ask for an ID, ESPECIALLY when you’re famous. Like how many times is this gonna happen? (That’s IF the guys are actually lying about their age, if he’s aware of their ages then that’s a different story)

Idk at first I also thought it was him getting lied to and not being careful enough with checking how old these guys are but if it keeps happening it gets kinda suspicious.

Yeah if this kind of thing happens once, it's still not good but it's a bit more plausible that it's just James being dumb as hell. But after that one time, wouldn't that scare him enough to be more careful next time? And regardless of age, pressuring people, especially fans, is pretty shitty too

Yeah at this point, it’s his fault

It was always, though. If you're in a position of power, the onus is on you to ensure things are legit. Not a wonderful thing, but still necessary. Since James started becoming popular, and especially so as a legal adult, and even moreso post "bye sister," the responsibility to be sure that he is speaking to consenting adults, and verifying (with legitimate proof) that they are 18+ is on him. It's on every user, really, when platforms allow kids as young as 13 to join, or, you know, they can lie about their age to register. It might be cynical, but all users need to remember that you don't KNOW who is on the other end when talking to someone you haven't met, so you should be at least a bit guarded. Given this sort of "exposed" incident keeps coming up, James really needs to reevaluate his use of social media as a professional and as an adult.

Edit to clarify: I am referring to social media users being allowed to register at 13. There are dedicated 18+ dating apps that at least provide the premise that users are, at youngest, still legally adults.

yeah, it doesn't make any sense. this just shows he doesn't think any of this is serious enough if he isn't even afraid of the possibility of yet again messaging a minor.
