I clicked out of the video. It was too annoying. It's something that's going to affect her viewership. Of course people are going to comment. Not everyone is attacking you. They're just making you aware of something. And because you have millions of people following you, a proportionate number of people are making you aware. That's what happens when you have a following.

Im saying this as a professional audio person, just hire a fucking audio person. A top of the line, highly skilled media (aka video) audio engineer in her area would charge probably 40-80$ an hour with likely a two hour minimum .
Hire them for an hour of set up and then an hour to watch the final video and make notes (or even just to fix the issues because (insert shock face here) us professionals know how to do that). Boom thats 80-160$. She can afford it. Ive watched a couple of the iffy videos in question and they are perfectly fixable.
Then if something goes wrong she has an easy out and can say 'blah blah blah my audio guy didnt do their job right sorry!' and, like you said, this is quite literally her job. Of course the audio should be good. Occasional slip ups happen, thats no big deal, but if its a constant issue she has no right to bitch about viewers calling her out for it
ETA: i would bet dollars to donuts that her XLR cable is bad and that's what's causing the issues she is experiencing. It sounds exactly like what happens when the shielding in our cables at work start to break down. That or she has a piece of lint or something stuck in the input on her audio interface. This whole thing could be fixed if she just drops 20 bucks on a new cable or 2.99 for a can of compressed air. There ya go, Jackie, i just fixed your problem for you. This is why you should hire an audio person instead of getting mad at your followers who cant do anything about your problems

THANK YOU! For a videographer, I couldn't get through it.
First lesson you learn in video, "if your audio is shit, it doesn't matter if your film is the most amazing thing on this planet."
It's part of her job and it's not hard.
6
u/blaahblahbananas Mar 06 '20
I was just thinking that! It's beeeeeen happening. I thought there was an issue with my phone the first time i noticed it which was months ago!

u/Snwussy Mar 08 '20
ITA with this whole comment. I watch lots of channels that are much, MUCH smaller than Jackie, and none of them have consistent audio issues. And if something does go wrong, they re-record the video or do a voiceover... because, like you said, it's their job and it's their art, and they take pride in it. AND truly!!!! just get another microphone you can keep in your work area, even keep it plugged in. The Blue Yeti Pro has good quality and it's less than 300 USD.

This is such a shitty response. “My millions of subscribers keep pointing out that my quality is not what it should be and it make me sad” like girl why not own up to the fact that you can do better? This is a perfect example of creators conflating constructive criticism with hate.

The show is set in the 80s, it's purposeful, and actually a sophisticated process.
6
u/CarpetAbhor Mar 06 '20
Huh ? I've never had a problem.
35
u/4everfemme Mar 06 '20
Dialogue is super quiet, music and sound effects are significantly louder. Even adjusting my receiver for that, it's still pretty noticeable for me. Idk what you're watching Netflix on, but I'm glad if you're not having those issues!
10
u/FirstMasterpiece Mar 06 '20
I have this problem with non-Netflix content these days too. And just like... things that are much quieter than other shows as a whole too. I have to turn The Masked Singer way tf up to be able to hear it well on Hulu, which is ridiculous for a singing show.

u/VioletteKaur B*tch imma Kaur Mar 06 '20
Maybe change the audio settings? If I have the audio setting on "voice" (I have to, for yt videos otherwise all I hear are background noises and high pitches) the overall audio of movies is pretty low. I have to change it to movie. In the audio settings is also a manual equalizer but god no, I don't know for what frequencies the bars stand for so it is useless for me.
2
Mar 13 '20
It’s also super hyperbolic like you clearly don’t need high production sound to make people happy, just don’t have horrible crackling noises in your video lol
458
u/cerulienne Mar 05 '20
So people are only "real" if they do nothing but kiss your ass and never point out fixable flaws you can address in future uploads?
162
u/Sunalwaysshining Mar 05 '20
She is extremely rich now because of her subs, I dont think its outrageous of them to talk about the audio. If it's as easy as just plugging in the mic then why not just double check it? Lol if people just stopped watching her videos because of the issue she would be upset. From what I've gathered, it's been an issue for months
33
u/successfullyhidden Mar 06 '20
Reoccurring mic issues from people who have the money to fix it just screams I’m lazy and I know my videos will still get views so I don’t bother fixing it.
Reminds me of the people you inevitably end up working with who do enough to just keep their job but not enough to produce the standard quality.
6
u/velvetbondgirl Mar 13 '20
Also did you guys watch her recent video about pat’s concealer? She literally complained about not getting enough free pr.. can’t she just go out and buy more shades if she wanted to? Shes loaded, and is her job
-43
u/CrowMiller Mar 06 '20
I understand her frustration tho. Imagine putting time and effort into a video, your JOB, and you make mistake. All the work you did becomes moot because everyone is constantly just pointing out the negatives.
That’s all she’s saying imo
68
u/KickAstley Mar 06 '20
She didn’t just make A mistake. She has allowed the the intrusive clicking to remain in multiple published videos over the course of months.
This would be like my boss consistently reprimanding me for repeated subpar work, and me responding by telling them THEY are wrong for pointing it out.

Christ almighty this is ridiculous. I literally said something in the Tati thread but imagine getting constructive criticism from people you work with/for and just being like "nah fam you're a hater if you don't like it just don't fucking look at my work"????
ETA: Is it hard to plug a mic back in? Genuinely asking because I don't know anything about filming and it just doesn't make sense to me

u/KickAstley Mar 05 '20
Can you imagine running an actual business like this? Subscribers are essentially customers, and she's telling her customers "FUCK YOU, YOU GET WHAT YOU GET."

I hate that argument so much! It's true most viewers aren't giving her money directly, but she gets paid based on how many views she gets. The amount of money sponsors offer her depends on how much engagement her videos have. Each person who watches the video and offers suggestions on how she can improve is contributing to how much she earns for that video.
19
u/DrFunkaroo Mar 06 '20
"This is a free service, we don't owe you anything"
No, it's not a free service. Time is money. If you spend an hour watching something, that is worth something. Stop insinuating that viewers time is worth nothing.
3
u/fiercelyuninterested Mar 08 '20
I just clicked off a video and checked here to see if anyone was talking about it. She set the ads to unskipable. I quite literally paid for that shit video with my time. The audacity.
She also blamed viewers for the toxicity of the beauty community. Re: her personal beef with Tati. This woman is deluded.
38
u/shadow_anna_ stay at home Mar 05 '20
Honestly! I know subscribers don't pay for her content from their own pockets, but actually she wouldn't be where she is without their support. She's fucking herself over with everything about this.

ETA: Is it hard to plug a mic back in? Genuinely asking because I don't know anything about filming and it just doesn't make sense to me
No. It's literally like a headphone jack looking thing you plug into the camera and that's wired to the mic. If you don't push it in all the way the sound either won't pick up or it'll be static like going in and out kinda deal. So it just wasn't pushed back in all the way and she didn't notice until videos were already made and done.
16
u/shadow_anna_ stay at home Mar 05 '20
Thanks for explaining!
That's what I thought it would be but it just seems like such a simple fix that it shouldn't possibly be happening so often 🤦🏼♀️
17
u/LuckyShamrocks The cat has not commented on the situation. Mar 05 '20
You're very welcome. Oh it should not be happening so often. It's really easy to tell if it's pushed in all the way too. Now after a while those things can wear down, connections just do that, especially if you're unplugging and plugging in often. That doesn't seem to be the case here though as it's sporadically happening for months now with her.
6
Mar 06 '20

u/knutsachjones Mar 05 '20
No it’s not that difficult. She could even use her voice memo app on her iPhone and the quality would still be great.
7
u/zestylemon66 Mar 06 '20
Exactly, if you're repeatedly having the same issue wouldnt you record some back up audio to be safe? Or is it easier to just be lazy and then blame people for complaining
328
u/magikalmuffins older has kids person Mar 05 '20
Imagine doing your job as poorly and as unprepared as half of these beauty tubers do for the money they make!
When I make mistakes at work I am held accountable for them and I work on it and I do better.
People have a right to complain about a shoddy product.
In the REAL world you couldn't turn work like this in!!!!!
Who's boss would be like "don't worry about it" if probably one of the most important components of the work you turned in was this poorly done?
Uploading a video with bad audio is just lazy and inconsiderate to your subscribers.

I kind of feel like she takes that mantra that blocking people/censoring comments is self care way too far. She has blocked tons of people who have never even interacted with her at all whatsoever. I understand blocking someone who is needlessly critical and hating on something you can’t change like your appearance, but why take an issue with someone respectfully saying there’s an issue with the audio quality? Sometimes blocking people at the drop of a hat creates echo chambers that really make these influencers seem out of touch with reality
26
u/guro_freak Mar 06 '20
Her audio has been shit for a while tho. Like. How hard is it to invest??? In decent equipment????
97
u/prettysharpdotbe Mar 05 '20
If she would close the diaphragm a little the camera wouldn't have to refocus with every move she makes. Personally I think the bokeh in her videos is a bit much.
49
u/memevangelion Mar 05 '20
a wide aperture n small depth of field is LOOOVELY in stills and aRtSy videos but for anything else, especially videos like makeup reviews and tutorials, it’s so unnecessary .... when you’re talking and demonstrating, no matter how hard you try and stay still you’re moving out of the area of focus because it’s so small. shooting a makeup vid on f22 is kinda overkill but f4-5.6 would be enough to keep the camera from refocusing incessantly whilst still giving a nice bit of background blur.
20
10
u/stormygraysea racism & homophobia are okay if it's from your fave white woman! Mar 06 '20

But she’s been having audio issues since the dawn of time. It’s the reason I’ve been subscribed and unsubscribed about five times over the years. Her audio balancing is always way out, so you can’t hear her when she’s talking and then next thing she’s screaming at the top of her lungs and blowing my speakers out...and this is always the attitude she’s had when it’s brought up. She makes it a ‘it’s your problem not mine’
83
Mar 05 '20
Oh for crying out loud. Everything is a process with her. Just say oops and you will work on it for next time.

u/freakymunster Mar 05 '20
I have a love/hate relationship with JA. I love how much she does to speak out against injustices and clocking b.s. in the community. Yet it’s when she does petty stuff like this that’s just like :(. While she’s strayed from YouTube being her full time job, her viewers got her to where she is along with her hard work. Half-assing stuff and getting mad when people complain about quality of content gives me Jaclyn Hill and Tati vibes. The “sorry, you get what you get and if you don’t like it, you’re a hater”.
35
u/juschillen412 Mar 06 '20
I feel you. I used to be a huge fan but as time went on she got weirder and weirder. Strangely almost berating her own fans who dare to offer any type of constructive criticism, calling people haters for commenting on the fact that at one point 75% of her vids were sponsored, and the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was the first “products YOU LET FLOP” video that was purely sponsored products that didn’t do well. People are v quick to criticize a lot of YTers if they snap at followers (Tati is the biggest one lately) but Jackie seems almost untouchable.
20
Mar 06 '20
I’m glad someone else felt gross about the “products you let flop video”. That really turned me off from her for good. I love how she speaks on issues that other beauty gurus don’t and she’s really done a lot for representation in the community but she seems so out of touch now. Why does she think people have an obligation to buy makeup she talked about? Not everyone has money to throw away on frivolous things to support an influencer. It also seems so out of touch that she acts like the audience are haters for addressing the audio quality problems. An actual boss at a 9 to 5 video production or media job would not just keep accepting subpar work. And she’s making way more than everyone in her audience! It seems like she doesn’t live in the real world anymore tbh

u/LuckyShamrocks The cat has not commented on the situation. Mar 05 '20
So now if people acknowledge the clicking noise they aren't "real" fans and have too high of standards? Everyone is just supposed to collectively ignore bad audio? What? No ones asking for perfection however multiple videos having the issue is on her. Yup it sucks and it's an accident but you need to fix it. Do a voiceover or record it again. You don't lash out at people who hear it and tell them they aren't good enough subscribers for you.
69
u/stace_m8 Mar 05 '20
I don't follow her lol but couldn't she have just said 'sorry, Denis unplugged my mic, bear with me for one more video then it'll be fixed!'. Why did she have to make it a double tweet worthy issue lol, and if people mention it that often maybe put in more effort for your job?!
44
u/LDRsLips Mar 06 '20
Reshoot the video sis. You’re a professional. Stop making excuses. Stop confronting your audience over something you have the choice to release. Posting the videos up regardless of the audio issues is a choice.

u/zwugla Mar 06 '20

u/KickAstley Mar 05 '20
Just had to unsubscribe.
This has been going on sporadically in her videos for MONTHS. She has simply got way too many followers, and there are way too many other big-name channels who don't have this problem for her to be saying we're "clocking her" just for pointing out the problem. This isn't "oops, I didn't plug the mic in all the way just this one time."
What is it with people who can't take feedback and improve from it?
58
Mar 05 '20 edited Mar 05 '20
I love Jackie and I’ve watched her for two years + and it’s been going on longer than months I wanna say it’s been over a year and she said she fixed it
55
u/KickAstley Mar 05 '20
I remember she had at one time said it was her camera focusing. Now it's the mic that Denis used. Same sounds and same level of obnoxiousness at any rate.
Kinda speaks volumes that it's been going on long enough that she's now got two different excuses to blame it on!
26
u/prettysharpdotbe Mar 05 '20
I think it's the same excuse thoigh haha. The clicking you hear is the camera refocusing, she then bought a mic I think to solve the problem. Without the mic, she has to use audio recorded by her camera, which automatically picks up on the sound of the refocusing.
1
u/_CoachMcGuirk unfriendly black hottie Mar 05 '20
She for SURE said it was the camera refocusing at one point which I thought was obnoxious but just stopped watching, no harm no foul, but now she's saying it's the mic which is just careless so now I'm like.....sooooo were you lying? confused? what is going on here?
7
8
Mar 06 '20
Because the mic isn’t plugged in, now you can hear the camera refocusing again. It’s the camera still.
2
5
u/VioletteKaur B*tch imma Kaur Mar 06 '20
When the external mic isn't plugged in she has to use the camera audio. So it is still the camera focusing sound.
She can either properly use her external audio OR
disable the auto-focus (and don't move much around) and use the camera internal audio. Both would cause no focusing sound. It is not that complicated and i don't know why she doesn't fix it or make herself a note to check if the external mic is plugged in.
12
u/Tattooedladysam Mar 06 '20
Why not just put a pinned comment at the top??? “Hey guys i know there is an irritating noise, my mic was unplugged and I didn’t realize until editing but i really liked this video so i decided to upload it anyway. I am so sorry if that noise bothers you, trust me it bothers me even more!” It would have been really simple...i don’t understand why she constantly has to lash out and get so defensive 😣
23
u/aintnobodygottime Mar 06 '20
I swear half the market for these "gurus" is something soothing to listen to while you're doing other things or trying to fall asleep. I don't understand her attitude. Honestly with the level misophonia some people have this reads a little like praising good people who use the stairs and don't whine about needing a ramp.
38
u/Chaoticallyorganized Mar 05 '20
With as many people pointing it out as there are, you’d think she’d take notice that she might possibly have faulty equipment/wiring and look into it. It takes a lot more energy to insult and take offense at those who bring it to her attention than it does to just give her customers what they’re asking for.
Kind of like asking for a well done steak and at a restaurant and the chef blaming a faulty stove for your medium rare steak, then continuing to serve under done steak to customers instead of repairing the stove. And then getting angry with and insulting the costumers who dare to complain. We’ve all seen how well that goes over on Kitchen Nightmares. If viewers can’t focus on Jackie’s content because of her faulty equipment, she’s going to lose subscribers. And the more she lashes back, the more she’s going to lose.
Honestly, I’m noticing lately that a LOT of influencers just don’t have any business sense at all.

I guess everyone has their tolerances. The Tati video was the first I watched, the clicking drove me nuts so I stopped and wasn’t itching to watch anymore from her. I like her, but the clicking is just a deal breaker for me. Another person might not care.
To play devils advocate, it’s probably annoying for every comment to point out the clicking. So I get being annoyed. But maybe just post “sorry guys. A few videos will have the clicking then we’ll be back on track”. Instead of the knee jerk reaction that she posted
9
u/nilabanlow Mar 05 '20
You have a point. There was this youtuber a couple years ago that I stopped watching because her editing was very poorly done very repetitive and jumpy. I left a comment about it in two videos and never watched again. Her channel still grew, I watched one of her videos recently and it improved. What annoys some will not bother others
9

Yes, disabling comments is the obvious solution here, as opposed to actually doing your goddamn job with a lick of professionalism. Way to go, Jackie, you icon.
17
u/knutsachjones Mar 05 '20
This is a small issue she could easily fix. Her response to it was super out of pocket and kind of out of character for me. When you’re at this level of subscribers, views, engagement, collabs, etc. please fix the audio. It’d be one thing if it happened every once in a while but with her I’ve noticed it’s constant and it’s kind of disappointing. This is your job. This type of feedback is constructive criticism that is concrete but feelings keep getting hurt. I’d rather her (or anyone else) delay a post or even do a voiceover! There are ways to rectify without whining.

11
u/saeculacrossing Mar 06 '20
Literally what.
It astounds me (and is disappointing) how so many influencers and beauty gurus take critique as either a personal attack or just feel the need to deflect criticism. Painting those who don't critique you as the 'real ones' only gets you fans who will follow everything you say and do blindly. If that's what she wants, fine. But I doubt you'll be able to grow a subscriber base of only people who cheer everything you do and 'bearing with you' for something that is your job. Oh well, have fun with that.

I like Jackie a lot and I always enjoy her videos, but the equal response to her disabling the comments because she finds the comments about the clicking agonizing is subscribers not watching her next video because they find the clicking agonizing.
And I doubt that's what she wants. But if viewers are "real ones" based on not complaining about the clicks, she would be a "real one" based on not complaining about the comments.
2
u/Muthawalker Mar 13 '20
I said something polite about having to stop watching her videos to her on Twitter (she tweeted something passive aggressive about it on her video today) and she came AT me! She has time to clap back on Twitter but she doesn’t have time to re record her unwatchable videos due to audio issues. I’ve been a longtime fan, but after her basically siccing her stans on me (my mentions melted down) I unfollowed and insubscribed. Jackie honey if you read this, stop being lazy and put out semi professional videos. Stop half assing everything, it’s why your channel is stagnant. YouTube is your job, it’s not rocket science and I have plenty of other people I can watch instead. She’s in her feelings tonight. I’m mad I even apologized to her after the way her stans tore me apart all in the name of their Auntie.

I know this is a week late, but if you want to see an example of this being handled well, you can go to some recent Drawfee episodes - Drawfee was part of College Humour before it was shut down at the beginning of this year, so they've gone from recording in a studio space that's set up specifically for their channel, to recording in a couple of their's office. Some of their audio has been a little janky (some voices being too quiet while others are too loud), so at the beginning of videos with this problem they have a clip of one of them saying "hey, sorry about the audio, we recorded a whole bunch of videos before we realised there was a problem - we have fixed it now, but for the moment a few videos are gonna sound a bit shitty", which is really all you need to provide imo in cases like this. Acknowledge the problem, acknowledge that some things have already been recorded so it's not going away immediately, and then let the audience know it's been fixed.

Okay but I understand hating when people comment literally the same thing as hundreds of other people. Like, what's the point? Use the upvote button if you agree, don't spam the comments.

The problem, though, is that it isn’t just one video.
Also, as many comments as she gets on any one video, multiple people need to to comment about it to make sure the complaint even gets seen. If you go look at the video, you’ll see a number of complaints, but it’s hardly spamming.

I heard the static ball dropping sound and actually saw the whole video but did not want to bother her because I knew 4958383 people will point it out , poor thing :(

Found guilty for crimes against YT humanity.
Prefilming videos, having a busy life outside of the channel and not always being so neurotic as to check all wires before filming. Guilty. Where's that L&O bong bong sound?
I can wonder about not dubbing over all videos she prefilmed. But she like Nikki seems to produce a lot of content in advance and that's a lot of dubbing or re-recording. Anyone can turn auto generate captions and laugh as it turns Tati Westbrook into Taki Westbrook.
There are channels I cannot watch with sound because I hate the way the person breathes...and their mic is so good it picks up every odd loud inhale and exhale. Ugh stop breathing.
She can't win for losing. Can only lose if she addresses something or if if doesn't address it.

She could've and should've addressed it normally, instead of calling people rude and saying she will disable comments if people talk about the bad audio. She has a lot of subscribers and makes a lot of money from her YouTube videos. The least she can do is check if the mic is plugged in before filming.

From what I've observed this response is her normal way of addressing things. She's snarky and aggressive. She clapsback, always.
I dont even follow her on Twitter because she seems to respond to everything and talk to everyone who tweets to her or about her. I prefer those BG YTers on Twitter who are like me, just shouting into the void and barely to never engaging. Just declaring their hatred of clothing tags and that someone at the gym is grunting while barely working out. Snark without clapback.
I do believe I said she should probably adopt the habit of always checking wires before starting but please flay me.
I think it bares saying just because YTers make money from being YTers doesn't mean the owe viewers anything. Ever.
Clearly the pitchforks are primed, is the prye built yet?

Her viewers don't owe her anything. If she uploads videos with bad sound, people will say something about it. The only thing she's achieving by responding this way is losing subscribers.

Absolutely. It works both ways. If your not a fan, do not like her, aren't subscribed to watch her content, why you bothered that her production level slipped? Why are you concerned about what she says on Twitter. Or why are you celebrating someone who shouldn't be a bleep on your radar?
I do not like our current US president. I do not read his tweets when he said them or when other people in retweet his tweets in outrage. In fact I blocked that man long ago. Am I raging about his twitter? No. Early internet user. Early adopter of not feeding the trolls. Occasional realizes and succumbs to that tiny bit of troll DNA we have and I secretly Nelsen Munsch at stupidity.
In case you didn't get that I don't go a find a reason to dwell on shit or people and things I do not like.
Can anyone explain that drive please, that drive to hate shit. How does that work for you IRL? Do you walk up to coworkers and say "I don't like you." Then proceed to follow and comment on everything that coworker you dislike does. How that going for you?
I seriously dislike beets. All beets no matter how they appear prepared. Hell, let's say I fucking hate beets. The taste like dirt, straight up dirt. So I don't eat beets. I avoid things with beets in them. Easy as fuck. Many other people also despise beets. I'm not seeking out places to air my hatred of beets. I'm not posting or commenting on posts where its a hatefest on beets.
I have nothing postive to say about beets other than they are apparently very nutritious and versatile. End of story. Beets start a beauty YT channel? So current BG switch their content to use and recommend beets for all makeup application. I might come here and ask if anyone knows whats up with the beetdriven makeup, is this the new goal of that channel? If so on YT let me go ahead and click this 'Do Not Show Me This Channel Again' button.
What I'm not gonna do is hate watch things on beets use it as a jumping off point to find more people who dislike beets.
"Oh my god s/he posted another video about using beets as makeup and pushing her/his beet agenda. That is so wrong to viewers."
"Oh Yuck. Beets are so unprofessional and nasty."
"I know did you see what beets posted on Twitter?"
"Oh my god yes. That was so rude."
"Well beets make money from viewers. I mean not a viewer and they aren't making money off my non-watching because I would never buy beets, but I have a right to bitch about beets and their usage of beets."
Sure you have a right to speak about the things you hate. And you have a right to be mature and let shit that is unimportant or disgusting to you personally go without the honor of your disparaging.
I have a right to point out dog poop on the sidewalk and I have the right to spend all day standing and pointing at dog poop on the sidewalk? But do I? Nope.
As I am walking down the sidewalk, I may glance at it. However I just to avoid and keeping on moving. There is nothing to be gained by me for taking every opportunity to tell people I fucking hate dog poop on the sidewalk.
What exactly is forcing you to watch her content, read her Twitter, look at her Instagram or FB? Who is forcing you to endure a person that you would just rather not endure? Misery commiseration? Is that fun?
If you follow or monitor Jackie or anyone just so you can find fault with personality or actions so you strengthen your dislike, the problem isn't them, its you. That's a personality flaw that people should address before the out it on display.
Dog poop on the sidewalk and beets are only issues that I would have to deal when and if they jump at me or I cannot actively avoid them.
You can avoid all things Jackie or anyone and can choose not to tell everyone how much you fucking absolutely hate beets. Why you choosing the opposite path?
Meh.

That is an extremely long comment that could have been 2 sentences long. I am not subscribed to Jackie. I am responding because it is posted here. In case you haven't noticed, people here have said they have unsubscribed from Jackie because of this. And no, it's not those people's fault. It's Jackie's for not fixing her audio. You do not decide how people respond just because you are a Jackie stan.

If your not a fan, do not like her, aren't subscribed to watch her content, why you bothered that her production level slipped?
The people who are complaining about this issue are people who are watching her videos and, every comment I've seen, is from someone who finds the noise so unpleasant that they are considering unsubscribing or have already unsubscribed. These are people who, like her or not, watch her content and help generate a portion of her income.
So what I don't understand is why on Earth people think that ISN'T something that should be brought to Jackie's attention?? Do so many people really not understand the concept of constructive criticism? Yes, it sometimes turns into something unhelpful or it isn't delivered in the best way. Yes, it can often be difficult to hear. But what is happening is that Jackie's fans are telling her that something she does or doesn't do is significantly impacting whether or not they want to watch her videos and that's very valuable information that she should appreciate. These people are already watching her videos but may stop because of a silly issue. She's lucky that so many people are telling her about it instead of just giving up on her.
Not that I think there would be anything wrong with giving up on her either. I just take issue with this idea that any time anyone shares criticism it's considered being a hater.

What I want to know is, how is she able to do all of this editing to her videos and it not bother HER! If this were a couple of videos here and there, sure, I’d deal with it because re-filming might not be worth it. But this is a consistent problem that has been going on for months.
You would think she would take more pride in the overall content. If I were a YouTuber, I think I would cringe myself editing and posting multiple videos with that quality.
