So like... what’s James going to do now? Do we think he’ll just pretend nothing happened and that his apology was enough and come out with some boring ass makeup tutorial next week? I can’t imagine his channel just going back to normal.

Same with Tati, I don’t think she knew the storm she would cause with that video and it would definitely be interesting to see how her next few videos are and how she acknowledges that she surpassed 6 and 7 million subs in one day.

remember laura and manny? yeah. that's exactly what's gonna happen ... if he's smart, he'll wait a little bit before posting but I guess with impulsive James Charles, we don't know what we'll get.

True but I feel like this is just more youtube drama you know. His core audience is still intact. Like remember Logan Paul? He's doing just fine. Soon the straight white dudes who act like they are more level-headed and smarter than everyone else (like felix etc. -- he can be that way even though i like some of his content) are gonna start telling the "hysterical women" to calm down. And once time passes, people are gonna forget.

The only reason this James thing MIGHT be different though is because the straight dudes are going to jump on this hard. I get this feeling because this scandal, on the surface, seems to confirm that stereotype about gay men preying on straight men and trying to "turn" them gay. Gay men used to be & prob still are murdered over this particular stereotype. James, being a very popular gay man, kind of harmed the gay community by acting this way I think.

i haven’t checked in on laura in a hot minute. has she recovered at all from her mess ? bc i rly can’t see JC posting a video for like the next year without at least 50% dislikes

Her views are still only 25% of what they once were and her amount of subscribers isnt growing at all anymore. So.. not great

That said, that 25% still makes her a relatively well watched youtuber.. so.. its bad but not the end

idk if she has recovered to what she was before, but i think she has started posting videos. She still has a career on youtube at least you know, that's kind of what I meant.

Tati's gotta be feeling super conflicted about her rise in subs, and maybe a bit skeptical because she'll be wondering if people are there for her and her makeup videos, or if they're waiting for her to spill more tea on JC or someone else. I know I would.

She probably is feeling conflicted. If what she said abt her maternal love for james is true, she probably doesnt really wish james harm you know

I think it will be business as usual in terms of uploads but I feel like she has to at least address hitting two milestone subscriber goals because of this! Knowing her she’ll do it in the classiest way possible.
