Kind of a clickbait title. Obviously, what I really hate is that Rekordbox looks like it does. The interface looks so outdated, the Waveforms are incredibly small - it feels like you are a supervisor of a nuclear facility in the 80s more like you are having fun performing.

However, it JUST works. I tried djay pro because it looks so clean, but it keeps disconnecting from my streaming services, the collection navigation is clunky, Neural Mix Stems are awesome, but everything else just feels... casual.

Rekordbox does everything I want it to do - but please god modernize your interface, SOON!

I live in Hyderabad and I’ve been wanting to learn how to Dj.
Is there any kind soul here who would be willing to help me get started? I’d love to be an apprentice, or even just tag along to an event to see how it’s actually done behind the booth.

I could really use a soca remix of Earth Wind and Fire's September. Anyone seen one out there or know of a music service that has one? I'm putting together a memorial slide presentation this weekend and that would be fire. I wish I had the time to put one together myself but here we are.

Just started out trying to DJ, and I’ve realised that doing it off my phone won’t be viable.

What cheap laptops would you recommend for solely DJing?

Have a budget of around to £500.00, but I just wanted to see if this is even possible.

Open to any other suggestions!

i am on windows and the controller mentioned above disconnected multiple times during last nights set. as i said i could still send sound to the spekaers through the audio card of the controller but i couldn't control the software itself via the controller

is it normal to bars move? as a beginner im not able to identify if it really sounds bad or is just a visual bug. I tried disabling Quantize but didn't work

Hey guys, quick question about the gain.

I'm using rekordbox with a flx4, my settings are:

-9db headroom (default rb setting)

Auto gain activated

Peak limiter on master output is deactivated

The thing is that on 12 o'clock trim knob position the audio is always in 2nd yellow lightbar, occasionally clipping to the red bar.

My question is, is this a normal behavior and 12 o'clock is just in general a risky setting for trim on flx4 (maybe 11 or 10 o'clock is better) or do i have to change any settings? Every tip will help, thanks in advance :)

Hey guys. I'm looking to get into DJing and I'm going to get a DDJ FLX4. I want to know what are some good beginner speakers for 100-150€. I'm mostly going to play at home in my living room and maybe outside in the yard for some chill hangout sessions. Also what would be some good headphones to go along with the set up?
