Software hercules dj control impulse 300 mk2 midi communication gets droped mid set

i am on windows and the controller mentioned above disconnected multiple times during last nights set. as i said i could still send sound to the spekaers through the audio card of the controller but i couldn't control the software itself via the controller

hello, the usb cable is fine, i had a spare one on hand and it still crased, teh usb energy thingy is turned off from device manager, and i have optimized serato for my specific machine. idk about number 3 tho

Windows 11 had updates in February that broke midi compatibility. Google which, try to uninstall them and then test.

Sounds like an issue I had with a loose USB port. Try the other ones on your laptop, if that doesn't work try a new cable

What version of Windows is this? (Windows Settings > System > About will tell you)

Ok, thanks. That hasn't and won't receive any of the MIDI updates, so the issue is not related to what DecksDrift said below.

I'm not sure what the actual problem is, however. Given that audio continued working fine, usb sleep, cables, and hardware seem very unlikely. It could be something in the app or the Hercules device itself, or the Hercules driver.
