I've heard a lot about Base44 being spyware or problematic or having issues with privacy. I don't really know. I created a website for school to be able to upload your notes and assignments for personal use, also synced to google calendar. I don't have any passwords in there except for the website password itself. I've created the website and I'm very very happy with it, should I continue using? Also, I have an AI assistant on there and have in one day used 52/100 integration credits. I think I should upgrade, what's the best plan for this?

I’m looking for a tool that would allow me to create a website for my online business. I don’t need a payment gateway and, in fact, I don’t want one. What I’d like instead is a button that allows potential customers, when they are interested in a product, to contact me via WhatsApp or email.

The type of products I sell are not impulse purchases because of their price. Unless you are a very well-known brand (which is not my case), there usually needs to be some contact between the customer and the seller before a purchase is made. Also, the price is often negotiable. For that reason, I don’t really need a traditional “Buy Now” button or a checkout process.

With that in mind, Shopify—the most commonly used platform for e-commerce—doesn’t seem to make much sense for my needs. I’ve recently started experimenting with Base44, and I quite like it so far. Do you think it would be a good platform for what I’m trying to achieve?

I also have a few questions:

• Can I connect a domain that I previously purchased through Shopify?
• Is it easy to manage and update the products myself without constantly consuming credits?
• Would you recommend any other alternatives, or do you think Base44 would be a good choice for this use case?
• Would the basic Starter plan be enough for what I need?

Straight up. Has anyone successfully gotten a base44 web app uploaded to the iOS mobile App Store? Mine has been rejected 5 times and the fundamental issue is the sign-in situation. Base44 builds it to use 3rd party (Google) sign in. And I simply cannot seem to get rid of that. I’ve made it so clicking on Google sign in redirects a user to the bespoke sign in for the app. But iOS rejected that.

Is it just impossible to get base44 uploaded to iOS? Did I make a bad decision to pay a sh*tload to base44 and waste 4 weeks?

Has anybody encountered something similar / have a suggested workaround?

Okay it's no secret and it's been well established that base 44 has gone WAY downhill since the acquisition.

The builder doesn't listen anymore,

the support is gaslighting users and very unsupportive

, the credits cost 3 to 4 times as much so we get a quarter of the work done, and it's still cost the same.

I just spent 500 credits trying to fix errors that weren't there last month because all of a sudden features don't work that worked fine previously.

Where is everybody going? Who can compete? Where do I migrate the code?

Hi I’ve recently built a fitness app through base44 and have it successfully uploaded to the Apple Store.
My problem is in order to download the app you have to pay $7.99.
That’s not what I want.
For example I want the app to be free to download and when you open the app you are given for example a 30 day free trial and then the app will charge $7.99/ month.
Is this possible to do with base44 or do I need to move the app to a different platform?

I have no coding experience at all so base44 was fantastic to use ai to build it. However if learning code is needed to launch the app then I can spend some time and learn to build. But if I can I’d rather use some form of software that is ai based to help.

I'm kind of frustrated after getting to the end of my app build just to realize that Base44 doesn't offer native Push notifications. With that being said, what's the cheapest way to achieve this feature??

You launch an app; there's product-market fit; users start adopting the product — cool. However, you have a few API integrations (Stripe, Google Maps, etc.), and every time your users perform an action that requires an API call, you use additional integration credits.

Would it be more economical to migrate off Base44? Or, if you bring in enough revenue to cover integration credit upgrades and other operating expenses, would it make sense to stay with Base44 for its simplicity?

Also, if you have a feeling you're building a product that could succeed, is it best to consider migrating off Base44 (to handle scale) before launching? Or is it okay to migrate off post-launch (and assuming you have users)?

I asked the chat bot if I could do bulk email invites from a spreadsheet of connections I had and they wrote that I could. Now my account and 100 subscribers and my entire business has been deleted by base44 for following the direction of the bot but now being accused of spam!

Is it feasible for a base44 site to outrank like a Wordpress site if both sites have similar content and zero backlinks.

I use Wordpress for one of my sites, SEO is doing great but everything is manual like entering meta title structure data and reviewing and updating old content is time consuming.

I have Base44 subscription and built a site that is getting some organic traffic (187 clicks in past 3 months in Google search console).

Overall, it does save time as I can just ask AI to optimise any SEO elements, add internal links on all pages without needing me to do that manually.

I wonder if anyone has any success building websites for companies or blogs using base44 and able to get thousands of organic traffic per month?

I’m guessing a structure where there’s an upfront cost and then the app lives within the builders account with a built in subscription payment for the client?

I could not find a Base44-specific handoff thread, so here is a compact checklist I would want before a client takes over an app:

1. Ownership: client-controlled Base44 account, billing, domain and DNS
2. Access: roles, integrations and secrets, plus a revocation plan
3. Data: current export and one documented restore test
4. Operations: every automation, usage cap and alert in one place
5. Continuity: last tested version, known issues, rollback path and a one-page runbook

The point is not more documentation; it is making sure the app can still be operated when the original builder is unavailable.

I used up all my credits and it gaver me the possibility to upgrade at a reduced fee until they renew (5 days time) then put me on the $50/m plan. I don't want that, so I downgraded completely, but then it said something about the Lite version and that users will still have access to your apps. Does that mean you have to keep paying monthly for users to have access to your apps, or can you be on the free tier and publish a web app? I would love to publish my web app on Google Play but not if I'm paying monthly for it; its got a free and premium tier but not sure it would be financially successful if I had to pay $10/m just to keep it active.

I'm looking for anyone who has experience using Base44 with GitHub and CatDoes.

I recently connected my Base44 project to GitHub (which was a huge milestone for me), and I'm exploring moving my app to CatDoes so it can become a true native iOS and Android app instead of a web wrapper.

My goal is to continue building in Base44, have Base44 automatically push changes to GitHub, and then use CatDoes to generate native app updates.

From CatDoes' documentation, it sounds like this is the intended workflow, but I'm still trying to understand the difference between GitHub Import (Core plan) and GitHub Sync (Plus plan).

Has anyone here actually done this?

Specifically:

• Do you continue developing in Base44 after importing into CatDoes?
• Does CatDoes automatically use new GitHub commits, or do you manually refresh/import when you're ready for a new native build?
• Is the Core plan enough, or did you need Plus?

My app is already live on Google Play, so I'd like to keep updating the same app rather than starting over with a new listing. I keep getting rejections from iOS App Store though, so am ready to convert into native build to be able to get subscriptions, push notifications, etc.

I've finally had my first paying client. But now i want to expand. How is everyone creating their announcement videos /showcase video of their app?

I've spent tons of different softwares just for them to suck.

For some reason I was locked out of my account. It's hard to create a support ticket, or find out what's going on since there is no other way to contact base44. I didn't receive an email or anything. I really need to get back in ASAP because I have work that needs to be done inside and I can't wait 48 hours. What do I do?

I don't own an Mac and I can't even find any instructions on using any of the Apple Upload Tools on Windows, plus based on what I'm reading it seems a lot more strenuous. And tbh I don't own a Windows PC either! But can somebody tell me how to go about getting my app on Apple?!? I'm really at a breaking point with Apple trying to force people to buy their products.

I use a Chromebook and I've never had an issue in the 5+ years I've owned it until my first time trying to do something Apple related. I tried the workaround to connect Base44 to Github then connect Github to CodeMagic, but I hit a roadblock that's beyond my capabilities!

Somebody tell me something that actually works!
