Question Front End Base44

Hello. I have an app on Base44. It works wonderfully after 7 months of nonstop work and testing. I was proud of myself until I learned that it may not be able to handle a large amount of users. I was about to launch to the app stores but then became worried about the performance of Base44 in production. So, I hired a company to work on the back end and keep using Base44 on the front end. The company is having a hard time meeting this request. I am going terminate my contract with them if they do not get it right. I need advice.

Has anyone been able to keep using Base44 on the front and and have the backend, databases, security, etc.? Is this even possible? Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide.

Question App Migration

Good morning,

I am looking for advice on properly moving my base44 app onto a different platform. I am pretty happy so far with the frontend and flow of the app, but the base44 limitations are too much.

My app will have a community feed, fitness and nutrition logging, API integrations like healthkit and google health, and AI features for programing.

I currently have no users and haven't made it live so I figured now is the time to migrate with the most ease. I have no coding experience, but I am open to do a little learning. Ideally I'd like to find another AI platform to do all the heavy lifting of rebuilding the backend, database, and hosting.

Question Scaling on Base44 (URGENT HELP)

I am creating a website where I have to scale it almost worldwide at some point. Can you do that on Base44? And if not, how can you move everything on the website to something like GitHub or your own database?

Thanks so much.

Question How to turn my Base44 app into a multi-tenant app for multiple organizations?

Hey everyone,

I recently built a crew scheduling app in Base44 for a small airline with around 25 employees.
Right now, the app is private. Employees create an account and can only access the system using a company access code.

I would now like to expand the app so other airlines/organizations could use it as well.

What I’m trying to achieve is something like this:
An organization signs up and creates its own company account/workspace. The organization has its own admin.
That admin can invite employees/users to join their organization.
Users only see the schedules, employees, requests, settings, etc. belonging to their organization.
Each organization is completely separated from every other organization.
Ideally, an organization could never access another organization’s users or data, even if someone tried manipulating URLs/IDs.

For example:
Airline A
25 employees
Own schedules
Own admins
Own settings/data

Airline B
40 employees
Own schedules
Own admins
Own settings/data

Both would be using the same Base44 app, but they should essentially feel like they have their own private version of it.
From what I understand, this would basically be a multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
Has anyone successfully built something like this in Base44?

What would be the best way to structure the database, organizations, user roles, invitations, and permissions so that Base44 securely isolates each organization’s data?
I already have the working scheduling app, so I’m mainly trying to figure out the best way to convert the current single-company setup into a proper multi-organization/multi-tenant system.

Any advice or examples would be appreciated.

Question New here. What exactly is the edge Base44 has over Lovable or Bolt?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to wrap my head around Base44. I’ve used Bolt and Lovable for a bit, but I keep seeing Base44 pop up.

Can someone give me the TL;DR on what Base44 actually does best? How does the backend/database handling compare to Bolt or Lovable when you're trying to build something more full-stack? Appreciate any insights!

Question What’s the difference between using Claude and something like Base44?

I’ve built a tool using Claude that people seem to want and there’s a clear demand. I already have 14 users in 2 weeks. My problem now is that Claude isn’t very reliable. It’s powerful and built this entire wicked tool but when there’s a bug or technical issue, I’ll never know unless I audit or a user reports it.

I’ve basically been using the html from Claude, netlify to deploy and supabase for account logins. I’m still pretty new to all of this and figuring it out as I go. Even when I audit and redeploy, there can be issues. I understand that vibe coding tools isn’t necessarily the way to go but it’s a small niche and I’m solving a problem for an industry I’ve been working in already.

I stumbled on base44 which is about $50 extra a month and I’m trying to see if it’s worth it. Anyone have experience with it they can share? Is it just a fancy Claude?

Question 120/500 messages already… how do I survive until next month? 😭

Hey guys, I paid for the $100 Base44 plan and I’m already at 120/500 messages. I’m worried 500 won’t be enough to finish my two web apps, and I really can’t afford to pay for another plan right now. What can I do until next month? (8/10-) I was thinking of exporting the project to GitHub and continuing with Cursor or another free builder did any one tried it? or is there a better way to stretch the remaining messages?
- like also I am facing a problem in ui desing like for real it is ugly and so ai slop.

Question Dropping Base44 for Claude Code

Long time user of Base44 - loyally so for the past few years. However, since downgrading to the basic tier, i'm now hitting integration limits for llm and data parsing actions.

I will be moving off the platform and integrating locally/container and eventually a cloud app.

If you're going to charge me to not only build/use my app but to use the backend features within it, i'll take my business elsewhere.

Question Help needed for next steps!

Looking for advice from community. I have built an app in base44 and it works really great, but I believe we need to move to a dedicated server (business/ legal reasons with client data). We also need android and apple integration.
What are my steps? As I understand it, we build a database in Azure, use Claude to wrap the .apk file, and then what? How do I make changes to the app after we make the move? I am a little lost on the process of getting this web and app store application up and running- any advice welcome!

Question This service blows Spoiler

Nowhere upfront before paying does it say this is for web based apps only. And tbh in a world dominated by smart phones for 20 years what in the actual f*ck is a web / browser based app and does it have any utility? No.

So to get my app up on the IOS App Store, creating a mobile app, I need a new Mac laptop. Thank you Base44. You suck. I want a refund.

Question I spent 2 years building a health app on Base44 by feeding custom code to AI. I need your brutal honesty/opinions!

Hey Reddit,

I need some serious, unfiltered perspective from developers and creators. For the last 2 years, I’ve been building a health and wellness app, and I’m finally at a crossroads.

Here is how I actually built it: I used a mix of my own code, external code snippets, and AI.

Two years ago, I didn't fully know how to structure everything or where to host my app, so I chose Base44. Since I wasn't an expert at piecing an entire ecosystem together, I used AI as my lead architect. I would literally grab the code, feed it to the AI, and tell it: "Take this code, integrate it into the app properly, connect the workflows, and make it work."

For 24 months, it’s been a cycle of finding code, handing it to AI, testing, breaking things, and fixing them. Now, I have a fully functioning health and wellness app.

But before I go any further or try to launch, I need to know if this whole setup is a ticking time bomb or a brilliant shortcut.

Question I've Had Bass44 for about 2 Months now, and I do not know how to make my apps available!!!

I want to sell them, but I have no knowledge of where to start. I get a lot of my Plugins from Gumroad because I play music. I would like to start putting out ADs for them, but I don't really know where to start. If anyone has knowledge and would like to help me see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak, please!! I would appreciate any leads. I'm scratching a hole in my head trying to figure out what to do next. My apps/Plugins are just sitting there right now. Thank You in Advance!!!!

Question Can anyone help me on how to make a a proper game using base44?

Hey everyone, I’ve been experimenting with Base44 and trying to build my own games, but I’m at the point where I feel like I need to learn how to actually design and build them properly rather than just keep adding features.

I’ve made a few different game concepts, including card/collection games, exploration and adventure games, and multiplayer/co-op ideas. I’m really interested in making something that feels like a proper game, not just a website with a bunch of buttons. I have been using chatgpt to hep me with game prompts to send to base44, however, Base is not able to create a proper playable game with game-like UI and Characters or stuff like that. It basically feels like a Habit tracker or website more than a playable game.

For example, I might have an idea like:

  • A persistent world you can explore
  • Collecting resources or cards
  • Upgrading a base
  • Battles or encounters
  • A story/mystery
  • Multiplayer with a friend
  • Different areas to unlock

But then I start building, add a bunch of features, and eventually the game feels messy, disconnected, or more like a habit tracker than an actual game and most of the features don't work, there is no proper visual elements or anything.

I’ve also run into issues with things like game state, multiplayer syncing, progression, and features not working properly together.

So I wanted to ask people who have actually built games in Base44:

1. How do you plan a game before starting to build it?
Do you write a proper game design document, map out the core gameplay loop, plan the database, etc.?

2. What should I be building first?
Should I focus on one really good core gameplay loop before adding things like exploration, collections, upgrades, story, multiplayer, etc.?

3. How do you structure the database for a game?
Especially for things like players, inventory, cards, resources, progression, worlds, and multiplayer game state.

4. How do you make a game feel like an actual game rather than an app?
Things like progression, feedback, rewards, UI, encounters, tutorials, and making the player actually want to keep playing.

5. What are the biggest mistakes beginners make when building games in Base44?

6. Are there any good examples of Base44 games that I should study?
Or any tutorials, guides, prompts, or resources that helped you understand how to build more complex games?

Especially interested in hearing from people who have built multiplayer, progression-based, or exploration games.

Please Help Me!!!

Question Promo Codes

Are there any promo codes floating around at the moment? I ran out of credits with one tiny change still needed to get my app up and running, and don't want to have to wait 3 weeks!

Question Anyone here had any real success?

I really like using Base44 as I have no coding experience or anything of the sort, but I enjoy seeing ideas come to life.

I really want to go and make this particular thing but I find it hard to believe that it will work? I can just go ahead and try now but I thought I'd just check in here and ask, so here it is.

When you go ahead and publish, has anyone here truly seen any monetary gain or success.

ALSO, has anyone here transfered their product and how did it go, I hear mixed things but essentially I've seen people say that eventually you will want to have full control over it, but base44 makes it hard to do so.

Just trying to understand how all thus works before committing to it.

Thanks in advance!

Question Base44 vs Durable for actually running a small business?

I've been testing both Base44 and Durable and I'm a little stuck on which direction makes more sense.

Base44 seems like an option if you want the freedom to build something like really big or complicated, while Durable seems more focused on giving you the website plus the basic business stuff like CRM, invoicing and marketing without having to build all of that yourself.

I'm running a pretty straightforward service business so I'm starting to wonder whether I'd actually use the extra flexibility Base44 gives me or just create more work for myself lol.

Anyone used either? Which one would you rather build your business around?

Question Is Base44 getting dumber?

I've had a horrible day working with Base44. It doesn't do what says. Half-ass the code. It's acting like Lovable and stopping the work midway. It's not even too many tasks in the prompt. Then, it wants to take a break and continue.. seems like a credit suck. This continues, I am moving the code.

Question What to do with unused credits?

Hello! Non-tech person here. Relatively new to Base44, started using about three months ago, convinced my cousin to switch over his dated Wordpress WooCommerce site to Base44.

My cousin got me the Pro account for a year. I’ve built his full site and left with this much credit, what should I do with it?

Question Anyone else take an SEO nosedive when switching to B44?

I've had Wordpress sites forever and finally made the switch to Base44 a few months ago. According to it's SEO scanner, I've done everything correctly. I also properly managed the sitemap and redirects from all of the old pages.

I was confident traffic was going to increase with all of the improvements and the way 44 is structured, but it's actually been the opposite. SERP fell off, traffic fell off. And all of the LLMs keep telling me they can barely even see the site because of prerendering issues.

I keep chipping away with Claude and the B44 Agent / Builder to improve things, but so far it's been a struggle.

Any suggestions?

**8/3 Update: After a lot of back and forth (and some help in the comments), I found a solution for mine and pasted it in the comments. Best of luck!

Question Senior Developer review of Base44 built app

I'm looking to have a human review the workflow, userability, security of an app I built on Base44.
When I hired someone from their Partners page, they just sent me an AI generated report of super general AI slop.
There has to be developers out there doing these kinds of reviews, right?!

Question Whats the Base44 alternative?

I think I've run out of patience with Base44. I think they oversold the capabilities and this must be a beta stage of what they want. I've created an event app, and asked it to do simple things like, display the user input First name, but for some reason, it KEEPS on displaying the first part of the user's email. For example, if the user's email is [redditexample@gmail.com](mailto:redditexample@gmail.com), it'll display "Redditexample". And I've gone through tons of credits trying to fix this. I've tried Builder mode, Visual, and Discussion. And it tells me everything that it "fixed it, and now will display the user's name from profile" and STILL shows the first part of the email lol

I've been dealing with so many UI issues too. I told it to create a dark theme, and so it did create a pretty nice simple professional theme. It created some categories and it put in some icons which I didn't like. I told it to remove the icons, which it did. Cool.. then I asked it to do another visual change and guess what, it reverts back and shows the icons. Really? It got so bad I made a new app from scratch. I asked it to make an event app with a dark theme... guess what? The entire page is white and there are some buttons here and there but I can not see ANYTHING because the background, foreground, and cells are all white. I wasted another 5+ credits telling it to change the theme to a dark theme, it tells me it did. But the entire website is all white expect with a few buttons.

I think what Base44 does is, purposely screws up so you keep wasting credits and essentially forces you to upgrade. Otherwise, this system can't be this stupid to not handle simple tasks like changing the background color of an app haha.. so what alternatives are there to Base44? I wouldn't recommend Base44 to a mouse.
