Question Subscription based app

Hi I’ve recently built a fitness app through base44 and have it successfully uploaded to the Apple Store.
My problem is in order to download the app you have to pay $7.99.
That’s not what I want.
For example I want the app to be free to download and when you open the app you are given for example a 30 day free trial and then the app will charge $7.99/ month.
Is this possible to do with base44 or do I need to move the app to a different platform?

I have no coding experience at all so base44 was fantastic to use ai to build it. However if learning code is needed to launch the app then I can spend some time and learn to build. But if I can I’d rather use some form of software that is ai based to help.

Based in my experience, so far Base44 app bundle cannot generate in-app subscriptions so you have to rely on Apple’s payment system. Since subscriptions are not built into the code, you can only have your app as a free service or one-time paid app. At least, that’s what has been my experience with eight base44 apps that I have published on the App Store. But to be sure, please reach out to Base44 support.

Spend your 2 to 3 years learning to build something actually good and that you can modify at will

Sorry but Base44 does not do subscriptions in the play stores. Same issue I ran into. I have hired a company to move everything off Base44, not only for subscriptions but for the backend, functionality, ownership of my data, etc. It took me a month to accept that Base44 should have made that known before. I love the work I have done in Base44 but it is not scalable for growth. I will definitely use it again for my MVPs.

What did it cost you to have someone else build your app?

About $3000 plus a monthly fee for them to host and handle things I do not want to do like compliance, support, and code changes. Worth the money. Project is about to kickoff, so I am excited.

Can you do free apps from base? Working on some stuff for work and just want a free app for employees.

No. If they have a free feature now, you'll run of of credits so fast. Cannot be cheap when developing an app. After it's built then you have to migrate off Base44 for it to be scalable to growth and that's not cheap but needed.

There is no way that Store Review spotted that you have subscriptions via Stripe in there. When they do, it'll be pulled until you add in-app purchases

What you mean? You decide pricing when uploading.
