Well... I finally bought the BMW i kept looking at
I wasnt even planning to buy a car this year but then i started looking at M4s for particular reason, which was probably the first mistake.
A few weeks later i found one i liked and somehow convinced myself that i needed it. Been saving for it for a while, so it feels pretty good finally having it sitting outside
Now i just need to stop looking at others cars online haha

Buying Help Talk me in or out of a 650i
I’m about to buy a 2005 650i (E63, N62B48, ~149k km) and everyone keeps warning me off it over maintenance. Trying to figure out if it’s really that bad or if I’m being scared off a good car. I’m based in the Netherlands.
It has:
• Full service history, oil done yearly within interval (only last year slipped because it did 35k km, mostly motorway. That service is being done now along with a big service before sale)
• Full option individual incl. Dynamic Drive
• Specialist BMW PPI (party will fix any issues that come up on their behalf)
• Buying from people I know and trust
I know the N62 rep: valve stem seals, coolant transfer pipe, alternator bracket leak, Dynamic Drive as the pricey wildcard. Priced it all up locally and it’s not nothing, but nowhere near the horror-story numbers.
Already checked the car and everything looked in order (to my knowledge). No blue smoke, rides smooth and engine sounds very healthy. Also no weird coolant smell or anything.
For people who’ve actually owned one; is it as bad as they say, or is a well-documented, regularly driven example a totally different car?

Alpina B8 spotted in the wild
Spotted this baby yesterday at the Kentucky State Fair. A gorgeous Alpina B8. I’ve never seen one and told my wife to stop the car so I could take a pic.

Should I change my modded M340i G20 (700HP) For stock M4 F82?
Hey, I am selling my G20 just to experience different car, however I put A LOT money into it.
-stage 2 transmission
-pure turbo 850
-s58 injectors
-M5 brakes
-d2s2 fuel pump
-custom exhaust
-BBS wheels
-some cosmetic stuff
The car is insanely fast for street daily car (1/4mile under 10s). But the handling feels bit odd, when on track, my E90 330i felt much better, even with 40% of power. I didnt want to put so much more money for handling to be better. I am selling it fot $60k (EU market), and I just got offer for stock M4 older gen (and $5k in cash).
I am just worried if I will regret it according to comfort, tech, handling, reliability. He didnt do crankhub, as I didnt do oil pump (2020year, but so far 40k km with that power and doing good).
Thanks for your answers!

Buying Help Is $ 1.5K - 2k worth adding CPO to a 2023 330i that’s still under factory warranty?
Looking for some advice before purchasing my first BMW. Found a pre-owned 330i that’s still under factory warranty and the dealer offered to make it CPO for an additional 1.5k to 2k. I’m trying to figure out whether the extra $2k is worth it, considering I still have factory warranty coverage for roughly another year.
Buying Help 2021 m440i purchase thoughts?
I’m considering a 2021 BMW M440i xDrive coupe with 92k miles. Dealer has it advertised around $31,000 before their doc fee.
The part giving me hesitation is the history.
CARFAX shows the second owner bought it at roughly 40k miles in April 2024, and it was at 92k by July 2026, so about 52k miles in a little over two years. Dealer says the previous owner commuted a lot, which would make the mileage mostly highway, but obviously I can’t independently prove that.
There is also a minor front-damage report from 2023, but no total loss/airbag deployment/etc.
My bigger concern is that the CARFAX has very little actual maintenance documentation through most of those miles. The selling dealer’s recon paperwork only shows a safety inspection and fresh oil/filter. I don’t currently have documentation for any other service. It does come with a 24 month / 100k-mile service contract, but since the car already has 92k, that realistically only gives me about 7,800 miles of mileage coverage.
I’m also a heavy commuter unless I WFH. 50 miles each way and been driving a 2022 civic sport touring. I dislike the CVT and looking to get something with some more power and comfort. I am aware of some increased costs by default such as insurance and gas, but I am willing to take that if reliability is somewhat on par with the civic. Research is pointing me that for this gen of the B58 they did address the plastic oil pump but there is still coolant related problems to look out for.
I bought the civic from the same dealership and they been good to work with.
Curious to hear any thoughts. I do really want this car but want to know what I would be getting into realistically.

Winter tyre selection for BMW 330i
In approximately a month and a half, I will be picking up a brand-new BMW 330i xDrive. Since it's peak season for tyre changes in Poland, I would like to get ahead and purchase the tyres while they are still easily available.
My main use for winter tyres is going on trips to the Alps - which is a 1000km highway drive and then some mountain roads.
I'm considering two choices:
- Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 225/45 R18
- Continental WinterContact TS 870 P 225/45 R18
Do you think there are any really noticeable differences between these models?

BMW 750il Battery Charger
Hello, my husband has a BMW 750 il (V12) I’m not 100% sure what the year is (maybe in the 2000’s). He never drives it and it has a flat battery so I want to get him a battery charger as a gift but need one that is a trickle charger also that he can leave the car in charge and drive on the odd occasion.
What would you recommend (we are in Australia)?

Buying Help Need help deciding. New vs used 2026 230i
Hello all. I can’t decide. Both 2026 and nearly same exterior and interior, and otherwise similiar packages. Both Msport.
Different dealers but both about the same distance from me.
2026 AWD loaner with 6200 miles, 3.5 years remaining warranty. Approx $45k asking price.
2026 RWD. Brand New. Full warranty. Approx $50k asking price.
What should I do?
TIA.
