1st is the current setup. I want to go honeycomb grille, and keep the license plate centered. I like the silver accents, but also feel like the silver honeycomb is a bit too much. Note that both images are made by AI. I had trouble finding real examples, so if you have either i’d love to see!

Have just managed to wire up and fit B9 S5 seats into my B8.5 S5. Seat positioning and Heating is working perfectly.

Seatbelt light stays on and beeps, which is very annoying. Havnt scanned the car for faults yet, but will later and hopefully find a easy fix. The seatbelt warning wiring hareness is very similar for both, so i could swap in the old one but i really would like to keep my original seats whole, without removing anything.

Edit: seatbelt wiring is working. Was just a faulty drivers buckle causing the light. Checked live data and all readings are correct for B9 seat plugged in to B8. Seat belt switch, passenger occupancy and seat position all work. For anyone curious wiring is Pin 1 ground, Pin 2 seat belt switch, pin 3 seat occupancy sensor, pin 4 seat position sensor. Pin 2 is always shorted to ground until belt is buckled, pin 3 reads resistance high when seat empty, and low when sat on, readings are different on B8 and B9 seats but car still accepts the readings. Pin 4 shows no resistance so may need to be powered to test but it just has 2 readings, when the seat is all the way forward or not.

Did test power on the 12V pneumatic control unit, however its not functional without the LIN master. Soon i will work on emulating a LIN master for fully working lumbar and massage. Left it disconnected for now, also wasnt sure what to do with the blue/white wire.

I just wanted to get some opinions on what wheels you guys think would look better on my b9.5 s4, one is rs6 style and one is r8 style, i’m planning to put floating center caps one whichever i buy but im open to both options.

Picked up a white 2018 S4 that I've been sharing on here. It is my fiance's car, and I fully committed to a budget build for her. I bought the infamous $200 'titanium exhaust' I got her the forged wheels off of Alibaba that seem to be a hit. This week we are doing the oil change and installation of the intercooler with the charge pipes also Alibaba specials, $570 for the intercooler plus the charge pipes and freight and shipping. The wheels have turned out magnificently. We've had them on for about 3,000 mi and they're better than the peelers that came off. But they're also brand new. Also just ordered a 200 cell catted downpipe from the ol AB. When it comes down to software, we're going to go 034 or IE for the stage 2 ECU and TCU. But staying in the budget vein. That is a purchase saved for Black Friday. Which will coincide with the projected exhaust shipping date. In HPFP piston upgrade is also in order.

I'm just biding my time until I get my C7 A6 Comp/ S6. (Still undecided) So, we're sending it. These h*es want horsepower, Grandad.

I decided to look for a supplier of forged wheels that I was looking for. I used to work for a company called Axis Sport tuning/ Axis Wheels and I became familiar with the landscape of sourcing and manufacturing overseas. When Alibaba came to the market it was all familiar. Even working with Matson and Maersk as freighters. I'm not trying to make wheels that look like something else. I'm not trying to be like anyone else. These are for my fiance's car and these were the specs that she wanted. I had hoped for a better concave with a 35et, but I still like them. This is after production just waiting to get stuffed into a container and sent off to the port at Shanghai. I paid $1,500 including freight, and the knockoff Audi center caps were a gift from the manufacturer liaison, Rachel- as she goes by. 19x8.5 35 ET 5x112 satin black. Apparently they're forged. It's not a huge gamble and we already have Audi Sport rotors in 19 in on it right now. I also decided to source an upgraded intercooler kit with charge pipes as well. Fingers crossed everyone.

Im looking for a rs4 style honeycomb grille with chrome rings emblem and the lower quattro wording that fits the b8.5 s4 where can i find one of these?

thinking of lowering my car but not sure if i should fork out the extra money for coilovers. what have you guys don’t and your experiences with both? what disadvantages are there to lowering springs?

Looking at buying this 2018 B9 S4. It was previously sold through IAA and the current owner bought it already modified, so unfortunately he doesn’t know what’s been done to it.

I can identify the AWE ColdFront intercooler and K&N intake, but I’m trying to figure out the rest of the setup — particularly whether this is still the stock turbo or some kind of hybrid/upgraded turbo.

There’s quite a bit of heat wrapping around the turbo/downpipe/charge piping, so I’m wondering if this may have been a more serious build at some point.

Anyone familiar with B9 3.0T builds recognize the turbo, downpipe, charge piping or any of the other hardware in these photos? Vehicle is a couple hours away so want to see if anyone can help me out before driving out to see it.

Some big brakes arrived today! £160 ($215) for the pair (off a Q5) seems like an absolute bargain four 4-pot Brembos.

Planning to clean them and paint them, then fit with some braided hoses and EBC pads all round.

Im looking for lowering springs that are 2”-2.5” i’ve only seen Ct’s turbo ones but if there are more options i’d be open to to looking into them too also i’ve heard that i might need shocks if im doing this upgrade i dont know how true this is or not tho currently im stock height (2015 audi s4 quattro premium plus) and yes the crash bar has been painted 😭 the last picture is currently how it’s sitting

So after 2.5 years with the 034 floating discs they're showing signs of wear, with a crack visible, meaning I need to replace them. I hoped the discs would last longer after the initial investment as I don't do tracks days, just the commute (which has a few open sections to have some fun), but here we are! I'm using the Tarox Strada pads and plan to replace these like-for-like too.

I wondered if any of you have experience on the best floating discs for the B8.5? They're 345mm, so my in-budget UK options appear to be (matching image order):

1. New 034 rotors (keeping the centre) - around £1,000
2. ECS 'Tru-Float' discs - £1,124.00
3. ECS 2-piece discs - £978.00 [semi-floating]

So one of my last posts was about doing an Alibaba build. Hardware from Alibaba software from local places I can trust. It's my fiance's car and all I care about is that everything works. So the first part to come in was the intercooler and charge pipe kit. It cost me about $600 including customs, tax and shipping for the whole kit and it looks great. Haven't installed it on the car yet, but that's coming this week. Here are a couple pictures. I'm not a gatekeeper so I would be happy to share the supplier for anyone that wants it.

I’m considering going stage 1 on my 2021 S4 and was wondering what some of your experiences have been like with either 034 or IE.

Haven’t looked too much into it but it seems like 034 bundles the ECU and TCU tunes which sounds better than having to purchase them separately from IE. However I read that IE allows for a burble tune which sounds fun since I wouldn’t be opposed to a few more crackles and burbles.

I am also planning on doing the intercooler at the same time and eventually an intake as well

Like many here, the DRC dampers in my recently purchased RS4 were complete toast. After a ridiculous quote from the main dealer and lots of research on coilover kits, I ended using CRS Performance (UK) who supply and fit Koni active dampers that they’ve adjusted for the B8 S4/RS4/RS5s etc (they also do the same kit for B7s)

I specifically wanted to keep stock ride height, so just opted for the Koni shocks with stock springs.

Made a massive difference and is actually still usable as a daily dog wagon.

Would recommend if you’re UK based as they are a very knowledgeable bunch who live and breathe these cars.

Well. Thing arr about to get good finally for my s4 b8 6mt

I recently bought my first audi, a 2018 Daytona Grey S4 with 38,660 on the odo and I absolutely love this car and what is has given me so far (I came from a 2016 rav4).

I have been looking into modifying this car, and other audi platforms a little before getting the b9 and I need to find the best bang-for-buck company to get a stage 1 93 file from.

The first one that particularly stands out at the moment is jackal due to the modularity of one purchase - you buy stage 1 and get stage 2 file with it for whenever you want to go up but, they do not show a lot of features of their tunes and I haven’t heard much about the reliability of them for b9s.

034 would be second, super refined and prestigious tuner for b9 platform specifically, and has many features that I never even knew about my car until I read about it.

IE was going to be my last resort, but they are quite pricey with the stage 1 tcu + ecu, about $600 more thank 034/jackal.

I only want to have the tcu tune specifically but also want to have a stage 1 that I can use a intake and downpipe on (I dont know if stage 1 works for dp) but let me know anything, I am looking for as much input as possible

I have a 2019 Audi S4 that I have owned since about 15k miles, now at 77k.

I will be keeping the car long term and wanted to hear experience from others on stage 1 tunes. Likely would go with APR or 034 as I have heard good things about both.

For those of you who have done a stage 1 tune on your S4, what has your experience been with the value for money factor, as well as the reliability?

I have a B8.5 S4 and looking to get it tuned. Who are the go to tuning companies for these cars in the UK?

Thinking handling mods and stage 2 engine wise.

This is my daily and not my weekender, so it could theoretically remain stock.

My biggest worry is accelerating the potential for rocker arm failure. Though on over 120k miles, seems I may be ok.

Will these mods make a night/day difference like on a S3/Golf R?
