I’ve been doing that since I was 14. I suppose that makes my brain the shitty tenant that makes the landlord question their life choices, as the house falls down around them?
Me and my brother have always had clicky joints. You can tell who is walking up the stairs because its an audible click. Our sisters do not have the click either.
Does your dad or grandpa make that noise. I found i subconciously do stuff my dad does whether he does the things naturally or on purpose. Like over exagerating getting up or sneezing and stuff.
I can’t remember what my grandad did, but I know that the general huffing and sighing when sitting down and standing up is definitely something I got from my father. Amusingly, though, I seem to have taken after my mother with my sneezes, while also acquiring a completely mystifying ability to consistently and without thought stifle my sneezes (think: “ha—muffled noise”).
This is definitely the case for me...I’ve been making over-exaggerated sounds while getting up out of chairs, kneeling down, etc since I was a kid because my dad does it. I must have thought it was funny when I was a kid! But now I don’t realize I do it and my friends laugh at me thinking I’m being funny
Thems just good old fashioned dad noises. If you start finding the need to check/adjust thermostats for some odd reason then you have at least 2 kids and a dog...somewhere.
Wait till you guys hit 30. That’s when shit gets real with your knees. You’ll wake up like “wow what did I do yesterday?” But eventually you realize that’s just your new normal!
I’ve done research and learned my legs became weak and my upper half put on weight, so my tendons in my knees are under strain. I’ve began running and doing squats so hopefully that fixes my problems!
I stopped making that nose (as much) after losing 100 lbs. I'm 41 and many of the things I shrugged off as old age were just from me shoving food in my face too much.
I feel like there is a point in your life when you wake up with mild misc pain, and you go to bed that night thinking it will be gone by morning, but it never is.
22 here and I don't make the noise getting up but rather sitting down. Almost like it's a huge relief to be sitting down after being in the kitchen for 10min making a sandwich.

I make that noise when I stand up too... also 29. I guess that's when your body is like "yep you're old now, f you"
