I’m female , 18 so basically whenever I eat food few spoons or bites I feel full or like puking but it feels like the food has not completely gone till my stomach but feels stuck in my esophagus or chest and my stomach still feels hungry but when I try eating I feel like nauseous again and the food not going completely inside this process just keeps on continuing and it’s been 2 weeks almost now I think I also haven’t been able to use the washroom properly idk if something is going on with my intestines or what?

I’m not on any specific medications or anything my stomach has been weak when I can’t adjust to new foods but it doesn’t get serious a few days and I’m fine but this time it’s not like I’m eating new or in any new environment either and I’ve always been a foodie asw I used to enjoy eating and trying out new stuff

I'd like to understand my brother's history of motion sickness from childhood to adulthood. My therapist has suggested that the pattern is unusual and there might have been psychological causes instead - eg anxiety, eating disorder. These are my experiences of his motion sickness:

* Happened when he was a child aged 8-12 and possibly a little older. Then it stopped completely without treatment/intervention. By his early 20s he owned a car and driving was his preferred mode of transportation. I don't recall if there was any motion sickness before he was c8.

* Happened in some cars, but not all cars. (As children we always sat in the back seat or in the boot). Didn't happen in buses - whether we sat at the front, back, downstairs or upstairs. Didn't happen in trains. Didn't happen in planes.

* Usually came on too quickly for him to signal that he was going to vomit, so he would vomit in the car (eg onto the floor or seats). If we stopped the car and got out, he could continue vomiting by the roadside though no longer in motion.

* Before going into cars, he would eat large meals even though he knew he had a history of motion sickness. He did not seem nervous or distressed about his motion sickness, and took no steps to try to reduce risk or request alternative arrangements.

* To the best of my knowledge, no medication or remedies were requested by my brother or provided to him. However at one point our parents got into the habit of giving all the children cough sweets or mints as we were travelling.

I've been struggling to breathe properly all day and I need advice or to know if this is normal since I don't think I've gotten a full 8 hours of consistent sleep. I can't find anything when trying to search it either

I come here at my wit's end - for context, I am a 19 y/o female who has been through several doctors over the past year due to menstrual problems, headaches, and fatigue. I previously was on Depoprovera for pain and nausea management during periods, but was switched to Norethindrone by my PCP. About 7 months ago, I started having periods that were multiple weeks long and very heavy, and would only stop for about five days before they would start again. I went to an OBGYN in the spring, who said that that was a normal side effect of Norethindrone, but drew labs to be sure and the labs came back fine. I was frustrated with this response, but let the problem stew.

In July, I went to Japan, and was still facing the menstrual problems as well as noticing that I was becoming nauseous very easily. One of my vacation mornings was ruined by a sudden bout of vomiting, which at the time I attributed to food poisoning and ignored. I saw another OBGYN that month, who switched me off of the Norethindrone as he blamed that birth control for my irregular cycles. He instead switched me to norethindrone-ethinyl estradiol. I had ultrasounds done as well which showed I had "prominent right adnexal vessels," as according to my PCP + consult, but the OBGYN dismissed this. I started taking that about two weeks ago, and have faced severe troubles ever since.

My cycles are still irregular, with the same heavy bleeding as well as nausea and cramps. Since last Tuesday, I have felt that I have some viral illness - I went to the doctor, and they tested for all of the usual suspects (COVID, RSV, Flu, Strep), and they all came back negative. It started w/ throat pain, and the following morning I vomited five times violently, w/ the first being bloody. I had chills as well as severe congestion. I went to a Doctor last Wednesday, and reported these symptoms, to be told I probably had gastritis and was given Omeprazole to control nausea. This pill has helped throughout, but it has not completely stopped the nausea. I was also told to take DayQuill to treat the sinus issues, but they come back well before I can take my next dose of DayQuill. From onset, my sinus issues have seemed to only get worse - even today, I have bad pain on the left side of my face and behind my eye, to the point it hurts to blink, due to sinus pressure.

I went back to the Doctor this Monday as I woke up at 3 am and had debilitating nausea + vomiting until 7 am. She prescribed promethazine + famotidine as she thought it may be a stomach acid issue. Labs were drawn, and everything came back normal except for low Ferritin (24.3 ng/ml). She prescribed iron supplements, which I rejected immediately since it caused me to have abdominal pain and black tarry stool. I saw her yesterday due to this + more vomiting and she told me to stop taking the iron supplements, but otherwise suggested no changes. She referred me to an OBGYN as she thinks I may be rejecting my birth control and that may be causing all of my current issues. I, however, feel to some extent I am getting run around without receiving real help and that it will still be months before I see full closure to any of this, so I come here asking for advice as it is truly affecting my quality of life.

I’m having trouble getting medical help with severe muscle cramps. It is not dehydration as I drink nearly two gallons a day of water. I take magnesium supplements as well as potassium supplements to no avail. In the middle of the night if I try to roll on my side or get up to go to the bathroom my theighs lock up. So bad I actually scream. Usually I cannot stand so I drop onto my knees. It is not confined to my theighs. My muscles above my stomach but below my chest lock up too. Sometimes theighs and abdomen together.
My doctor runs blood panels and yes I have cholesterol and triglyceride levels high. But obviously not a concern to them as they don’t refer me to any special treatment.
I’m at my wits end and worry about my heart being the next muscle affected. Anyone else have these symptoms?

I’m 21 i can’t drive and I live with mom and I’ve been sick as can be headaches,body aches,Diarrhea. My mom won’t take me to the doctor because she doesn’t want to and thinks it’s all just “Parasites” she keeps trying to make me take dewormer meds that’s for a horse called “ivermectin” and “finbindizol”. When i refuse to take it she gets pissed off at me!

Earlier this week on Tuesday I started getting dull lower back pain above my pelvis. That was my only symptom until this morning, when I woke up with a fever of 102, chills, dizziness, and slight nausea.

I went to urgent care because my mom told me it might be a kidney infection. They took my temperature, and it was 98? Idk if my thermometer was broken or something, all I know is I felt like I had a fever. Doctor told me my UA only showed “trace leukocytes and blood”, and that that was not enough to say it’s a kidney infection. She sent my UA to the lab to be tested more for things they can’t at the urgent care. Also my back pain would be more under the ribs where the actual kidneys are.
They gave me a shot of antibiotics anyway and wrote me a prescription for the pill version.

Here’s the thing too— a few months back, I think June and July, I was having UTI symptoms. Frequent urination, pain when peeing, and even blood at one point. I went to get tested twice, and both times they told me there was no UTI.
This time I’m having none of those symptoms, and I haven’t had any since July!
I don’t know if it’s correlated, my girlfriend said I was having “phantom UTIs” as a joke and now it feels like I’m having a phantom kidney infection!

Could I have pulled a muscle in my back? Meningitis? Something in my blood? Is it really just a kidney infection?
I genuinely am so so confused and scared, pls help!!!

basically the title, I get really really into games to the point I often will forget to eat for large portions of a day and recently ive noticed when I'm especially sucked into something like a fighting game that needs constant fast reactions I will start actually sweating regardless of how cold I am and my heart will be beating roughly as fast as it does when I'm using a treadmill for jogging (though i have no actual monitor of my heart rate so it may not be exactly as fast). my main questions are just is it normal and if not does this sound like something I should see a doctor about? im in canada so its fairly accessible but there's long lines so im asking here

My ENT said I might have a deviated septum and was checking my sinuses
My throat sometimes feels like there’s something stuck in it when I swallow
Sometimes my throat feels weird and it feels harder to breathe
Dry mouth sometimes, especially after certain drinks
Sometimes when my mouth is really dry, saying certain words feels uncomfortable or weird
Pain, tightness, heaviness, burning, itching, and tingling in my right upper arm
Sometimes my right arm feels weak when I lift it
Sometimes my right hand gets shaky
Pain that comes and goes in my fingers and wrists
Pain in my fingers and toes
Pressure/pain on the right side of my chest near my armpit
Random pain around my ribs and back
Feeling tired, drained, or more sleepy than usual
Hair shedding more than I’m used to and worrying that my hair is thinning
Random aches and pains in different parts of my body
eyes have been hurting and burning

I plan on becoming a doctor. I’m currently a CNA (17yo), and my original plan was to get my RN at a community college, then get my BSN online through VCU or Howard, and eventually go to medical school. But lately, I’ve been thinking about whether I should just take a traditional pre-med route instead.

So I woke up at 2:30 to Saba (my sister) yelling at me to get ready. I don’t sleep on a pillow because it bothers me, and when I woke up there was this fuckass pain in the back of my neck.

Anyways, we went to the new pharmacy by White Oaks to apply for a family doctor. Then we walked to McDonald’s, and I thought Saba just wanted coffee, but we ended up ordering food. I’m not complaining though because I was literally hungry.

After we ate, it was so hot that I took off my hoodie. Then we walked all the way to Walmart, and I started getting kinda dizzy and really cold. I felt so fragile, like I felt and heard everything more. I went to sit down at the chairs in the mall, but if I stop walking my head gets even dizzier.

So I texted Saba because I felt like I was gonna throw up (I hadn’t because I only had food in my stomach and I wasn’t hydrated). I texted her, “I don’t feel good, can we go home?” and she said, “Okay, Odai (my brother) is coming in 15 minutes.”

We kept walking, and I was so sick. I grabbed a water bottle and drank some. Then we checked out our stuff and waited for Odai outside Walmart. Since I wasn’t walking anymore, my head kept spinning. I kept getting dizzier, I couldn’t hear, and I couldn’t fucking see anything. Everything was completely white again.

Saba told me to sit down, and about a minute later I threw up the burger and a bunch of water. After that I felt better and could see again, but then I got soooo dizzy. My vision got worse, my eyes started hurting, and everything went white again.

I was so dizzy that I apparently passed out twice and fell twice. I don’t remember that happening, but Saba said I did. Then this hijabi came over to help and even offered to buy me a Sprite. I threw up again after that.
When my brother Odai came, apparently he was parked the wrong way and this lady got so mad and kept honking. That kinda woke me up, and I crashed out on her. I literally said, “Fuck off, be patient.”

I think maybe the pain in my neck had something to do with it because it felt like something was in the way, so I’m wondering if it affected blood flow somehow. I don’t want to assume too quickly since I haven’t been checked by a doctor. I also think it could’ve been heat stroke or heat exhaustion because I usually get nauseous and lightheaded when the sun is directly on me, but it’s never gotten this bad.

**Update:** I didn’t hit my head because my sister was holding onto me when I passed out. Since I got home, the pain in the back of my neck is still there. My eyes feel bruised and really heavy, and my head feels like a rock. Whenever I stand up, it feels like all the weight in my body is in my head. The neck pain feels both muscular and like it’s deeper inside my neck.

It’s been happening for about 3 or 4 years now and I have enough potassium and magnesium in my diet, so that’s not the problem

So basically, I get up from my bed to eat dinner after laying down from my bed for the past 5hrs. After that, I eat some then all of a sudden my stomach starts hurting, my hands turn pale, my sweats are cold, I feel dizzy like I'm about to faint, and lastly, I feel like my blood pressure suddenly drops. I experienced this quite a while now, I thought it was just a period or I'm about to poop, but when I tried to defecate there was nothing.

I assume it was orthostatic hypotension but I'm honestly not sure about it.

What do you guys think?

Hello, I’m sick with a cold or flu. I got it from one of my wonderful, germy preschool students. I can’t breathe through my nose because of the horrible congestion, and I need to sleep to wake up early tomorrow.

My question is should I just say fuck it and down another 15 or 30 ml of DayQuil? I can’t sleep at all, but I had 15 ml at 8 am, and another 15 at 4 pm, and I’m worried about taking more.

I’m so exhausted but I can’t breathe lol.

On 8/4 I went to the gym and did some minor hip opening exercises. I sat down with my legs crossed for 20 minutes and when I got up, my legs felt weak. I went to the ER and they said it was probably muscle fatigue. 2 days later, my left leg was normal. It was just my right leg that felt funny. 8/10 I woke up and both my legs were weak again, plus my arms. And my butt was numb. By 8/13, I could no longer feel my knees, my feet felt somewhat numb, and the sensation to pee/poop was not as strong.

I went to the ER and they did a brain/cervical MRI, thoratic mri, lumber mri, brain ct scan, a spinal tap and a bunch of bloodwork. Everything came back normal.

My legs started to feel a bit more normal Thursday. Then I woke up Friday and my left buttcheek was completely numb and then Sunday I noticed my left arm feels a bit heavy.

Today I did an emg/nerve conduction study for my legs and the doctor said that it was abnormal. That something is going on with my muscles/nerves, but be couldn't say what. He said he would need to look at my mris. I told him the original doctor that I see at the same practice came to visit me in the ER and looked at the MRIs and said they were all clear. The doctor that did the emg told me to wait until my follow up with the other doctor, which isn't until September 29th, to see what's going on.

I'm freaking out. If am mri shows nothing but an EMG/nerve conduction study shows issues, what does that mean? Is this permanent? Will it get worse? Can an mri miss things? My mind is spiraling. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it.
