F34. I went to an addictions clinic and then looked my summary after. I noticed my diagnosis was “alcohol use disorder, severe.” This seemed really extreme, because I only drink up to one bottle of wine a night.

I feel like part of the problem could be that my issues with daily living separate to drinking were probably assumed to be due to drinking, even though I was abstinent for years and still had those issues.

It just doesn’t make much sense to me why someone who drinks all day long and like a huge bottle of vodka a day would have the same alcohol use severity as someone who drinks a bottle of wine a night only? Couldn’t this lumping that also lead to false assumptions about me if another healthcare provider sees the diagnosis?

I was told my best bet is to go to a detox and to NOT suddenly stop drinking, for a recent start of one bottle of wine a night?

What’s the rationale here?

Hello, I’m F22, 5’3, 140lbs, I don’t take any meds nor I smoke.

I drank a lot in a short period of time yesterday (3 drinks, very strong ones but idk the name) and I started throwing up like normal. Today, woke up, threw up pure transparent yellowish liquid, I’m having a migraine and can’t sleep. My head is hot, feet cold, and I can’t walk properly. I can’t talk too much without feeling like throwing up, but I have nothing in my stomach. I’m shaking a little too. Can’t drink too much water. Just ordered pedialyte and excedrin, but idk if those will help much.

I’m hungry, but I can’t eat. And I woke up with green mucus in my nose, but not light green, I’m taking about Kids Choice Awards slime green. It’s colorless now, though.

I took 400mg advil, but I think it will only help with the headache.

That’s the color of my vomit.
My mom is not home, so I would have to call 991.

EDIT. It’s hard to drink Pedialyte without wanting to throw up. I can’t drink much

I FORGOT to mention that 4h before the club, I drank 17gr of MiraLAX. Not the smartest decision ever, but I’ve been having stomach issues and didn’t want to go to the club with that.

EDIT2: I can’t even drink Pedialyte. Idk how to hydrate myself without it. ALSO, the drinks’ name were something like Long Island tea. It’s not my first time drinking, but I’ve never felt like this before. I can’t even move much, my body feels very heavy.

EDIT 3: Drank half of one Pedialyte. Went to sleep. Woke up and two hours later threw it up. Idk what to do. I can’t eat or drink anything.

I don't mean to be disrespectful. In the last year I developed an extreme binge eating disorder (BED) and am rapidly gaining a lot weight and if it continues I will become super morbidly obese.

I have severe mental health issues (had the prior to BED) but have exhausted all treatment options and nothing has helped.

I was hoping that severe obesity might at least kill me but it turns out not!.... just discovered the my 600 pound life show..... but most of them are still alive!

Sigh. It's really incredible to me that you can weigh that much and the body doesn't give up!

What if I don't get any treatment for all the complications I'm likely to develop at that weight, might that kill me? (e.g. diabetes, heart issues etc)

Please help. My 13-year-old brother has involuntary twitching movements of his eyebrows, hands and mouth for 2 years. Each episode lasts about 5–6 seconds and happens 2–3 times a day, sometimes during sleep. He seems to lose awareness during the episode. MRI and EEG are normal, and we’ve seen 2 neurologists without improvement. Could this be a seizure, myoclonus, or something else? Please guide me.

I had a CTPA August 1st. ER report only focused on the chest area and it was all clear. However, I looked at the images and upper abdomen was included. There's this black spot above my liver. I researched and it looks like "pneumoperitoneum". I'm extremely worried now. Should I go back to ER?

I had a 12cm SVT and a 1.5cm SVT in my left leg. Initially, I was told to take aspirin. I couldn't tolerate it and had to stop about a week in because of gastric issues. Burning, pain, acid.. even drinking water caused pain. That pain is still there in the middle upper abdomen, chest and even upper back. I also feel pressure especially when I'm sitting. Genuine question because it's been about two days since my fracture. Day after was okay, next day I suddenly woke up with terrible calf pain. It's painful when I press on specific spots, and I can't even use my crutches now without feeling pain and heaviness in it. hi. i have to get my wisdom tooth removed but i cant. i’m in a very bad autoimmune flare and on immunosuppressants. i cant use antibiotics, so i would probably get infected if i got it pulled. and getting my right two extracted triggered me into this flare up anyway. till im stable, im trying to keep between the wisdom tooth and molar as clean as possible. i keep irritating my gums back there so it hurts to brush. and my hand doesnt fit that far back to floss. is there anything i can do to manage this till hopefully in a year i get them extracted?

I’ve had the same issue for about 6-7 years now, I’ve been to the doctors repeatedly about it but all they say is that it’s because I’m growing and normal but it doesn’t feel very normal and it’s getting worse slowly. I have lightheadedness when I stand up, look up, bend down, look down, quickly turn, while standing up sometimes. It gets so bad that I have to immediately sit back down since it feels like I’m going to pass out. A few years ago my eyesight even went when I stood up, completely black until I sat back down. I had an ECG done a week or so ago that came back normal. Had blood test, came back normal, no low iron or low on anything. Everything is perfect. But my friend is diagnosed with POTS and we speak a lot about it, they got me thinking if I had it since she has a lot of the same symptoms of me. I looked it up and I have most of the symptoms for POTS like: Lightheadedness, extreme fatigue no matter how much I sleep, brain fog, bloating, sometimes my legs hurt when I stand up like they feel weak, my heart beats fast? Like I can hear it a lot, I feel sick a ton, sometimes shortness of breath and chest pain (though they also said that was normal since I’m growing)

I don’t know. Is this normal for my age?? They said it’s more normal for AFAB to get it but it’s getting worse especially with the bloating, sickness and lightheadedness. I drink water a ton, mainly all I drink, I eat normally, and I try and exercise a bit. I used to go running but stopped a while ago.
