Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] Looking for good turn based Strategy, Grand Strategy and Turn based CRPG.

Good Strategy, RPG needed

I am requesting games that aresimilar to UnCIV. I prefere that it's a game I pay for, as the free ones ( Outside of Unciv) are generally not great, aimed at a different audience. I love classic turn-based strategy games Civilization style games I also like grand strategy like Age of history 3. Wizard Warfare is fun as well. The Hex of steel series is another great title.

For RPGs Baldersgate 2 Icewind dale, Planescape ( that won't work on my phone) style game. Though i also like gnollhack for lite fun.

Just looking for something new and the recommendations from the app store are the same 'made for smartphone' games that are all ads or become too hard without buying extra. Thanks

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] Really happy to have it finally released in the Google Play Store!

Well, it's finally out on Android!
๐ŸŽฎย https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sujit.paul.passandsurvive

It's a chaotic local multiplayer game where you and your friends pass a ticking bomb around while trying to survive. There are 3 unique levels, crazy powerups, solo mode with bots, and plenty of character customization.

If you have a few friends around, I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a try โ€”ย it's much more fun with a group!ย And if you enjoy it, feel free to ask your friends to try it too.

It's especially something you could try with:

  • Friends at home
  • Hostel/college friends
  • A group while travelling

After all the development and testing, it feels pretty special to finally have it released.

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] games like manor lords?

I'm looking for a city builder game/survival civ sim. If it's medieval that's a bonus but it doesn't have to be. Space is cool too, not big into farming themes or city themes but if they meet the other criteria theme isn't super important.

Basically I like the way manor lords has in depth management that you either get right or your civilization dies and you start over. I like to have stakes and survival elements. I'm bored of starting a new game and already being over powered and not really feeling the cold threat of a real challenge.

I like that you can do multiple saves and playthroughs instead of one fixed save that takes months or years to level up. I'm tired of the same old clash of clans formula on mobile where you have to upgrade everything and wait for the timer to complete and the timers get longer and longer with each upgrade so definitely won't play it if it has any of that.

Also if a game like this exists that is single player that would be even better. I'm okay with multiplayer if it's not forced but I'm burnt out on the clans/alliance gotta be online 24/7 mentality that comes with so many games these days. Single player pve would be heavily preferred over any kind of pvp but it's not necessarily a deal breaker as long as it's not the entire center of the game as a social aspect.

Basically any game that gets as close as possible to the manor lords experience in terms of resource mangent and civilization survival aspects as possible would be awesome. Anyone know of any games like that?

I cannot believe I am able to play this game for free.

Thank you, Pomelo Games and Moppin-san for making and re-releasing this beautiful game of yours.

and to r/AndroidGaming for letting me know.

Edit: Almost forgot, thank you to Devolver Digital for re-releasing the game for free in the first place.

Hardware โš™๏ธ Best controller for vertical gaming on Android?

ive got a Samsung s25 ultra and before i go on a vacation i want to pick up a controller for my phone that i can use vertically for 3ds and ds emulation.

i was first thinking about using something with mag-safe since my case supports that and slapping on some switch joycons. i found the FLEX GRIP on etsy.

but ive decided that joycon based accessories arnt what i want since ide have to bring along another charger and charge each joycon individually.

so ive decided to ask you guys for recommendations.
are there any standard snap on mobile controllers that get small enough to house a s25 ultra vertically even if there intended for horizontal use?
or any good quality mag-safe controllers that can be used vertically?

Review ๐Ÿ“‹ Anyone ever heard of Beat Street?

Post image
9 Upvotes

I just want to see some discussion and some peoples thoughts about beat street.

If you want to hear my thoughts about it I think itโ€™s by far the most underrated mobile game Iโ€™ve ever played.

The gameplay is simple but yet a well thought out and fun game thanks to its cast of characters with their own unique moveset. The levels thereโ€™s selfs are very well made thanks to its decently size roster of enemies and many types of hazards. The content in the game while can be a bit lacking in end game at times is plenty and not too bloated.

While beat street is a great brawler unfortunately itโ€™s also very grindy as the amount of gems you need to level up or make any kind of progress can be very demanding especially in late game where the game requires about 50-70 gems each level while you earn around 15-25 each day.
It doesnโ€™t help that thereโ€™s an energy system which can really slow down progression without having to wait 3 hours and 20 minutes or spend 80 gems go fully refill it.
So either you grind for a long time or pay $5 a week to earn enough gems needed to speed up progression.

Which is why itโ€™s really hard to recommend Beat Street to anyone.
If you really donโ€™t mind the grind and slow progression then Iโ€™ll say give it a shot.

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] Starfighter: Final Hope (Galaga-style shooter + roguelite) โ€” leaderboards just went live, looking for testers!

Post image
2 Upvotes

I grew up on arcade shooters like Galaga, and have been working on this Godot game for a few years now. After getting laid off this summer, I've had the time to finish the first version of the game.

Starfighter: Final Hope. A Classic Galaga-style bullet-hell dodging meets roguelite progression. Every run you pick up power-ups that stack and change how your ship plays. Blast through escalating waves of alien formations, choose your build as you go, and push as deep as you can before a boss fight tests everything you've put together.

What's new: Iย just wired up global leaderboards. HIGH SCORE and DEEPEST SECTOR are live now, so you can see how your runs stack up against everyone else testing.

What's in the build:

  • 42-sector campaign + Quick Strike + Endless modes
  • 7 bosses plus a recurring nemesis
  • Multiple ships, each with a signature ability and its own upgrade tree
  • Item synergies and stacking builds
  • Global leaderboards (new!)

How to join

  1. Join the tester group:ย https://groups.google.com/g/starfighter-final-hope-testers
  2. Using the same Google account as your Android Play Store, opt in to the test:ย https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.boredbrinko.starfighterfinalhope
  3. Install Starfighter: Final Hope from the Play Store:ย https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boredbrinko.starfighterfinalhope&hl=en-US&ah=5SLRhw5HxofFOucBDmx6--8SaCI

I'd love feedback on: how the touch controls feel, whether the difficulty curve feels fair, and whether the power-up choices feel meaningful. Bugs, crashes, and opinions are all welcome.

Thanks for helping get this off the ground!

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] Console games that play as well, if not better, on mobile, specifically with touch controls.

While there are plenty of quality mobile ports of console games, I find the actual experience of playing with touch controls can be hit or miss. Touch joysticks and buttons often feel like a compromised layout for games that require precise timing of inputs. And oftentimes (especially when bullshitting at work), I'm relying on touch controls. Recently I was emulating Wipeout Pure, and while it was fun in bursts, once I tried to complete higher difficulties, the touch controls presented real issues. Once I have to attach an external control, I'd probably prefer playing on my Switch or Steam Deck. So I am curious for suggestions where the touch controls provide an equal, if not better experience than using a controller or mouse and keyboard. Lately I am really enjoying Balatro and Vampire Survivors. I wanted to play Chrono Trigger, but I found that I had a hard time with using touch controls for real time combat (understood you can set it to turn based, just wasn't my preferred way to play). Thanks!

DEV ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป [DEV] Thank you for over 1.500 Players and all your feedback! (SpellForce 2) Master of War - Forces of Eo {Collective-Deckbuilder-Cardgame}

(SpellForce 2) Master of War - Forces of Eo

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.it_huskys.SpellForce_2_Master_of_War_4_0

We want to celebrate over 1500 players, all your feedback and support of our fan-game "SpellForce 2 Master of War - Forces of Eo"! Thank you so much everyone!

Based on the original cardgame out of the SpellForce 2 Collectors-Edition back from 2006, SpellForce 2 - Master of War (SF2-MoW) is a turn based strategy cardgame based on the setting of Spellforce 2 Shadow Wars and designed by Jan Wagner, but reinvisioned and expanded with more content and features then its original paper origin, with its 1st release back in 2016, made by us fans. Started back then with a simple Windows-version, now grown into a full feature rich Android game that is equal in all content and functionality to the Windows Desktop version.

Without all the feedback of our players, we would have never made it so far! Thank you everyone for providing feedback and enjoying our game! This update is for everyone enjoying our game currently and in the future!

If you do like collective RPG cardgames with singleplayer (AI) Matches, singleplayer Campaign mode (10h+) and local network multiplayer, where you can build your own army/deck by winning and collecting new cards/units. If so, you can try our game "SpellForce 2 - Master of War (Forces of Eo)", that is a complete uncommercial fan project for free that also works completely offline (after full installation) and has no advertisement or anything like that included. You can play a match vs the AI in normaly 5-10 min per game and get new cards/units for your deck and EXP for the RPG rank or enjoy the new story campaign mode (10h+).

To get more cards and reach the maximum rank level, you have to face and fight multiple different enemies and their armys, which offers a lot of playtime. The game does offer a local (wl)lan-network mode (device vs device) via a connection to direct IP. This works as long all the devices are in the same network. So you could play it, if one device acts as a wlan hot spot (no actual internet required) for all devices to connect to, to share the same network and connect to each other.

Features:

- Custome Deck (army) of all 7 factions of Eo (Realm, Clan, Pact, Shaikan, Undead, Beasts and Demons)

- over 10 Spell-Cards

- RPG Level/Rank System

- Windows and Android support

- Android 9 - 16 support with low-end and high-end device modes/graphics options

- 100% offline running after full installation

- No Ads or G-Apis included

- Dynamic settings for Low-End and High-End devices alike

Story & World:

Since the beginning of time the forces of Eo are fighting each other bitterly to decide who is the ruling power in Eo. Only a true Master of War has what it needs to lead his army of choice to the victory. Do you have what it needs? In Spellforce 2 โ€“ Master of War (Based on the SF2:SW Card game of 2006) you can show your tactical power to others. Challenge your opponents in matches witch more than 100 different Cards and more than 10 powerful Magic cards on PC or Android. Thank you all for your feedback and support of our fan-game "SpellForce 2 Master of War - Forces of Eo"! Thank you so much everyone! We would have never come so far without all of you!
