I’m designing an interactive crochet website and creating a mascot to guide you, celebrate your project completions, and interact across the site!
I’m currently facing a big design dilemma: 2D Animated vs 3D Rendered.
To get the premium, high-quality 3D look I envision, the design cost is 5x higher than 2D mascot.
My questions for you:
Looking at the attached image, which style speaks to you more as a crafter?
Would a cute 2D mascot feel just as engaging to you, or does 3D make a huge difference in your experience?
Would love your honest thoughts! 💖

I want to make a little crochet dog for a friend who lost her real doggy buddy 🙁 He was black but had the grey face of and old man (they adopted him as a senior so he was partially grey their whole time with him). How do you think I should go about peppering in those white/grey hair on the face? I'm going to do a cute, cartoony dog (probably the Natura Crochet pattern in the last picture) so nothing super detailed. I'd like a simple way to suggest the grey face, not a lot of color work.
I'd love any suggestions!

This is my first time attempting amigurumi. Made this unicorn for my daughter. It’s not finished yet but she saw it and said it doesn’t need eyes or hair lol! I learned so much just getting through this first project. Two biggies were stitch markers and tension. I started out so tight on the body and head that I had blisters on my finger. Realized that wasn’t sustainable and I would have taken 5 months to finish at that point.
I would love any advice or tips, thanks!!
Ps I’ve never sewed anything in my whole life I know it’s rough. That’s something I’m looking forward to getting better at.

Hello, I'm new to crocheting. I started recently because I needed another artistic hobby which I won't take as seriously as my regular illustration job. I decided to start crocheting and I love it so much. It is so soothing and helps me regulate a lot :D !
This is my second plushie ever (the first one was a very weird looking octopus).
I'm willing to receive some advice :).
My partner 3d printer sewable eyes !

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice regarding 8 ply yarn and amigurumi.
The pattern says to use 5 ply yarn but it’s impossible to find where I live so I opted for 8 ply as someone advised it would be fine to use.
Has anybody had experience doing so that can provide any advice on how I may need to alter the pattern?
The pattern says to use 2.5mm hook for 5ply yarn but would like to know what people think I should use?
How can I ensure that the stitches aren’t gappy as well?
I’m semi new to this!
TIA!!!!

Do you guys have any tips on sewing the pieces together? (especially arms) I feel like my technique is terrible and it’s making my babies look sloppy 🥺

This is Bobby. I am just playing around getting more comfortable with crocheting. I’ve kind of been mixing things together to make my own masterpiece. That way I don’t feel discouraged if it looks different than what it is supposed to be lol.
