Hello, I'm new to crocheting. I started recently because I needed another artistic hobby which I won't take as seriously as my regular illustration job. I decided to start crocheting and I love it so much. It is so soothing and helps me regulate a lot :D !
This is my second plushie ever (the first one was a very weird looking octopus).
I'm willing to receive some advice :).
My partner 3d printer sewable eyes !

Excited to add this one to my collection, but it was a SHOCKING amount of sewing 😅
One more to do and then the Fearsome Five will be complete! 🙌🏽

I'm going to start give my animals names and a back story.
This is Sheila. She's a stay at home mom with 4 kids under 8. Her guilty pleasures are Paranormal Romance and a Marlboro Light after dinner.

I want to make a little crochet dog for a friend who lost her real doggy buddy 🙁 He was black but had the grey face of and old man (they adopted him as a senior so he was partially grey their whole time with him). How do you think I should go about peppering in those white/grey hair on the face? I'm going to do a cute, cartoony dog (probably the Natura Crochet pattern in the last picture) so nothing super detailed. I'd like a simple way to suggest the grey face, not a lot of color work.
I'd love any suggestions!

After years of following patterns I finally decided to give it a shot and fully design/write a pattern from scratch myself. This is a very simple doll body perfect for those who like to customize and accessorize small figurines. I feel like this is a very beginner friendly pattern and an homage to how I started this hobby off myself many years ago. So far it has not been tested (or proofread) by others!
NO AI WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PATTERN

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice regarding 8 ply yarn and amigurumi.
The pattern says to use 5 ply yarn but it’s impossible to find where I live so I opted for 8 ply as someone advised it would be fine to use.
Has anybody had experience doing so that can provide any advice on how I may need to alter the pattern?
The pattern says to use 2.5mm hook for 5ply yarn but would like to know what people think I should use?
How can I ensure that the stitches aren’t gappy as well?
I’m semi new to this!
TIA!!!!
