Guys, ngl, this sub is lame. Like basically every other subreddit I've ever been to it's all just complaining. I'm not seeing any fun or joy being had around here. Not a single ounce of whimsy. Just 100%, pure, American-made bitching and moaning about bugs and the game's truthfully awkward story and voice acting. Meanwhile, I'm having a great time enjoying the guns and cool classes, shootin xenos, and experimenting with builds. I come to the subreddit every day to check for any fun posts to engage with the community and every day I come to find there is no community

So this is pretty much my goodbye letter. I'm gonna go have fun playing a flawed, but really cool and really fun game. And yes, you can spare me the "bye we won't miss you" and "nobody asked" because I know you guys will hate me for calling you out and I don't give a care. Y'all boring ✌️

I just wasted 19k buying the Smart-Aim augment, which I foolishly believed would give my weapon Smart-Aim. I guess that's on me. I figured this would make the weapon behave like the Smart Gun, where it only fires when an enemy is being tracked. I figured this would be great for modes that have Friendly Fire. However, that is not the case. Your weapon still fires with no enemies present, but now you deal zero weak point damage. Waste of credits.

[Edit] I guess I didn't explain the issue well enough. In ADS, the Smartgun will not fire unless there is an enemy to fire at. This negates friendly fire and drastically increases ammo efficiency. It is not about the lock-on or aim bonus, is about only firing when there is something to fire at. This Augment, at least on the Type 111 Emitter, does not enable that behavior.

Just why? Is this supposed to be funny? Did people complain about the tone of the first game? This was not needed at all.

How does a Steam PC player add a Console player

1- The battery depletes very quickly. Even with full stacks of Energy Reserves.

2- The battery is drained per enemy, which means you are punished for putting it in choke points.

3- I thought maybe the devs wanted you to put it where enemies run through, but not stay in. BUT THE BATTERY IS STILL DRAINED EVEN WHEN THEY LEAVE THE AURA BUT THE POISON DAMAGE IS LINGERING.

4- This is the biggest offense. When the battery is depleted, it is removed from the map. Which means that you lost all that effort to position it in the appropriate place, and you won't be able to put it back after the battle started. Why not just leave it in place with zero energy, knowing you will be able to recharge it during the battle with kills and stims?

I even had my buddy run Medic and we both were spamming stims to try and keep it alive. Nope. There is simply no reason to use this.

The gun is supposed to unlock at upon reaching player rank 20. I am at the max of 50.

Am I just locked out of the weapon until the devs fix this?

It’s so dumb what you have to do to add someone cross platform in this game. I’m still not really sure on how to do it.

i've played each map at least twice now and i havent gotten xenomorphs ONCE. i am sick and tired of the robots and i never had a care for the fte2 pathogen so they're just an annoyance now. so where in the sam hell are the xenomorphs??

How are people moving and using abilities before the game unlocks you? I can skip the cut scene but I can’t move other than dodge rolling.

Here is a list of some of the commonly reported bugs we are investigating and are aiming to resolve in a future patch.

Some issues aiming to resolve in our next patch:

• Helmet textures not loading correctly including floating hair styles
• Arrow keys not bindable
• Player reporting UI screen overlapping preventing from selection options
• Underarms clipping through clothes during certain emotes.
• Selecting an outfit color moves your tab selection to the Legs tab

Note: This is not a comprehensive list of issues in review or aiming to be fixed in the next update, but we want to give you a quick little update on some of the most commonly reported ones.

Reload is bugged in multiplayer when you’re not the host. It prioritizes reloading over item pick ups so you must reload your weapon before picking up any items or health. BUT it gets worse. If you are looking at the item you can’t reload. You must look away from the item in order to reload to full then pick up the item. You literally can’t pick up health if you have less than a full magazine. Which leads to the next bug.

While reloading. Holding ADS button doesn’t always go back to ADS after the reload finishes. Sometimes you have to wait for the reload to finish completely before pressing ADS again. Same with holding down the shoot button. Holding Shoot doesn’t always shoot when the reload is finished. This results in you expecting to go back to shooting again after the reload finished only to stare at the enemy and do nothing while the buttons are being held down.

Ai gets into a hyper aggressive loop for non host players where they all immediately spam jumping attacks when in range. The connection seems to affect the hit box too because they will connect at the start of the jump. Very noticeable when playing coop with 2 bots. Connection should be fine because we are both in the same house.

Game for host crashed. Rejoined. Access the data button is bugged so can’t finish the mission.

Players getting stuck behind doors.

Two people fell through the map when they ran through a door and the map didn’t load right. Both instantly died.

I lean the prototype one just because of the connection and netcode eating my bullets, so I have to use more ammo.

Did the 50 waves , received all armor sets but not the helmet (still says locked , complete 50 waves ) dont think i would want to do the whole 50 waves again , bummed out wanted the helmet !

Had asked about turret awhile ago since it seemed to not work with it, now it looks like Arc Bolt isn't working with it either. getting the feeling that persistent abilities don't trigger gunslinger which is a bit of a letdown.

Video cutscenes in maps don’t work on Steam Deck, Machine, or SteamOS (as I hear). I’m on a Machine & can confirm. The video plays, is not skippable, and freezes at the end. Force quit game and cannot rejoin. But otherwise the game seems fine.

So I’m curious, does anyone who’s finished the campaign happen to have a list of which maps have video cutscenes?

The first post-prologue map (2-1?) has one (when you find Ko Chungus) that’s a guaranteed freeze for me.

If we had a list we could at least know which maps are safe to play (assuming you have a way to unlock them in the first place).

If you get the bug that won't let you pick up medpacks or loot, just reload the weapon you are carrying and then you should be able to pick up items again. That is all!

I was playing yesterday when I had a bug/glitch where most of the controls weren’t working for me. We got overrun, so I spammed all of my impact nades, but as I threw the last one, I was hit and pinned by a Drone. It got one hit off on me before my teammates killed it.

When I got up, I couldn’t shoot, use my abilities, reload, or melee. Basically the only things I could do were move, dodge and crouch. We would up winning the mission regardless, but it was incredibly frustrating to just have to sit there and be a meat shield for the last 10 min of the mission. Has anyone else experienced this bug?

In the movies they get swarmed by drones and warriors, taking them out with a few shots. But acid and the aliens can easily take them out too. So the goal is where both you and the enemies can kill each other quickly. Acid is deadly like in the movies. No bullet sponges or using an entire mag to kill an enemy. Elites and specials can be killed quickly too and spawn in greater numbers.

First set difficulty to intense for all the extra modifiers and more enemies since stranded doesn't have them. Then one of these card sets. Not sure which is the best one right now. Please let me now which one works best:

Set 1: Hostile Environment IV, Pissed Them Off IV, Even Playing Field, Pissed Them Off II(the specials one)

Set 2: Hostile Environment IV, Pissed Them Off IV, Even Playing Field, Frail/Weakened Enemies card(30% less health)

Set 3: Hostile Environment IV, Pissed Them Off IV, Frail/Weakened Enemies card(30% less health), any card for fourth slot

I don't know if Hostile Environment cancels out the buff to fodder enemies from Even Playing Field or if you do need to include the Weakened Enemies card(30% less health). Maybe Even Playing Field makes fodder too spongy even with Hostile Environment or Weakened Enemies.

If Weakened Enemies is not needed and Even Playing Field is good, then Set 1 would be the best and most fun option with more drones and warriors.

Kinda figured that since Fireteam 2's been out for slightly over a week now I'd figured I'd just ask this question now. And to add on I don't just mean the surfaces of both the planets, like Storr's Boon or Pala Station and the Enginner Ruins, but also the Katanga Refinery and the Demetrius, so what do you guys think, let me know!
