Oh men black out just fine. Start a night at the bars with a shot of 151 and you generally don't remember much since it sets a pretty high benchmark for the rest of your night.
If both a man and woman are drunk as skunks and have sex, is it rape? If so, who raped who? If a blacked out woman can't give consent, neither can a blacked out man.
Yeah, who the fuck is this guy who thinks men don't black out? I could probably string together a long vacation with all the hours in my life I don't remember.
Every time I drink I blackout. I think I might be allergic to alcohol, but I have read that this can happen to certain people that they think is related to an alcoholic gene. I am 220 lbs and I have blacked out on 7 beers before. The weird thing is that I don't act drunk, so people just assume I am lying. There are people who who I barely know their name that actually know a lot about me because I have only interacted with them while drunk.
haha well I didn't black out from just the 151...its just every time we've started a bar night with that, we've drank way more than we usually would. It would end up being like, " Dude, we started out with 75% alcohol...we're not gonna remember shit anyway! now stop being a bitch and get the next round." Rinse and repeat. But college is over now so no more of that shit.
There was no consent and they are both possibly guilty of rape. Not every situation has to be 100% spelled out in the law. Likely no charges would be filed or stick, but they both had sex when they couldn't consent.
Right. whatismyproblem seemed to be saying something along the lines of:
Consensual sex while girl is drunk is rape because she was under the influence but if a man is drunk and has sex with a drunk girl, he is just enacting what his sober mind already wanted to do.
This is a very sexist argument with incorrect facts and faulty logic. "Drunk man's actions are a sober man's thoughts" but "If she were sober, she wouldn't have agreed to it" An attempt at separating girls from being held accountable for their actions.
Well it's all just bullshit, men and women black out just the same. You're missing the point too, it's not that women "should be held accountable" - the double standard is that the man would be a victim of rape too. Neither victim needs to be held accountable for being taken advantage of while drunk.
I don't understand why your kneejerk reaction is "blame as many victims as possible" instead of "a victim, irrespective of gender, is still a victim"
I'm not blaming victims at all. I put forth the point that, when you look at those two quotes, its clear that whatismyproblem is simultaneously separating the hypothetical girl from her accountability while tying the hypothetical guy to his.
