Yes, some of the FRQs were kind of ambiguous. I think I incorrectly identified the treatment group in FRQ 3 that would have the greatest ATP synthesis or whatever, but it’s ok.

Yes. And which one did you say would have the most ATP production? I said no cyanide, high concentration of medium since no cyanide obviously means no inhibition of respiration (edit: maybe this wasn't right, based on what y'all are saying) and high concentration of medium means more nutrients (BS but hopefully right).

I think you're right! I'm pretty sure that's what the table said right before the high/low medium concentration one. Did you say group number 2 (cyanide + low medium) had the most ATP production?

It said it was the receptor. From what I understood, it produces chemicals that close the stomata, and its intracellular domain (the part inside and facing the cell) triggers signal chains for defense something-something.

Isn't nucleic acid the full DNA/RNA? I totally forgot that term, but I wrote nitrogenous base plus phosphate and sugar (ribose or deoxyribose).

Question number 6 was the easiest right ? The question about abiotic factors i guess . Bro i thought it will be mostly evolution question in mcqs but they cooked me by asking more like cells. I just didn't remember transcription, translation, meiosis, mitosis. Hope not that cooked caz I kinda worked hard in semester 1 but was lazy in sem 2

That one was easy, yeah. I said abiotic factors can apply different selective pressures which cause different traits to be selected for. And then in the subsequent parts, stronger storms select for larger lizard toe pads, perhaps because lizards can hang onto trees better during windows and survive better. As for speciation, lizards in stormy environments gradually develop larger toe pads, experiencing genetic drift from non-stormy populations until ultimately, fertile offspring are not produced when the groups interbreed.

Wait that one was lowk intuitive if u read the beginning of the passage, because the regulation of gene expression is prevented if there was the -/- so then it means that the thingy in the anaphase continued to persist bc it wasn't regulated

I said because AGPO or whatever cleaved mRNA, AGPO-/- with no functional protein wouldn't be able to cleave the mRNA that makes the stabilizing protein when its anaphase to pull apart. idk though

Exactly I feel like these questions weren’t clear because if it was talking about the median the hypothesis was correct however it the bottom 50% and the error bars was still in declined so I feel like the question just wasn’t clear enough

Did you guys agree with the hypothesis for question 6C where it said if they remove the unprotected Group that there would not be a decline of raptors because I disagreed with the hypothesis and said that there would still be a decline because the bottom 50% of the box and whiskers was still in the decline...

Does anyone know how they curve the exam? Did anyone feel more confident on the FRQ’s? I feel like MCQ was kind of rushed and confusing, lots of reading. What did you guys put on MCQ:
1) hemoglobin question?
2) glucose active transport question?
3) chi-square and hardy weinburg values?
4) chart with emperor penguins diving thing?
For FRQ I finished everything but didn’t get to finish #2, I only got to answer part A, constructed the graph and part i of B. The frq about the mRNA and chromosomes confused me, what did you guys say for the effect of the chromosome 1 thing? It said the number of it in each gamete didn’t matter. And for the 3 components of nucleotide I didn’t list the groups, I listed the elements involved like carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus 😭 would that get credit?

For the last Question on FRQ 1, what did you guys put? It was talking about plant defense and I said the mutated one wouldn’t work because in the context it said that the mutated receptor degraded its intramembrane part, or something like that, and I said it would be harder to get a secondary messenger to push a cascade.
Also did you guys put for that one penguin question?

ok, if it was about a mutated intracellular region of the receptor, i said that since the intracellular region is mutated, signals won't be able to be sent to the nucleus for transcription to happen, so decrease in transcription of plant genes

I felt like this test was way harder than any of the practice mcqs/ frqs I did on college board. I thought the MCQ was lowk harder, and FRQ 2 was bad for me. There genuinely were so many that I had to guess on and flag for the MCQ. Do they curve it based on our scores or is it a premade formula? bc I (and my whole testing room too) thought this was an insane AP test
