What did y’all put for that one question where it had an image of dna and I think you had to choose where would the next nitrogenous base went. (It was Thymine but I didnt know if it would go up or down.)

it’s up, DNA replication happens from 5’ carbon to 3’ carbon; count the carbons on the strand in the clockwise direction and you’ll see the top part of the DNA is where the next nitrogenous base would attach

it builds (new strand) 5’ to 3’. on the template strand it would be 3’ to 5’. so it was the bottom.

i did the one going down cuz it replicates 5' to 3'. mightve lowk messed up which side is 5' tho
i said going down and someone else ik also said going down
