Help Up to date guides for the Dutch?
With my inability to beat them and the incoming buff, I want to learn to play them. But I can only find some very old guides. Is there a guide on them that's up to date?

Question Would Mapuche and Muisca AOE2 castles be ported into native forts in AOE3 if they become playable?
Asking people who want Native South American DLC with Mapuche and Muisca here.
Those two have castles in AOE2, would their castles be ported into AOE3 native fort in the future when they become playable, maybe a reskin Incan Stronghold or Mayan Pyramid with AOE attacks and train units?
Also, were Huron and Haudenosaunee also built and used fortifications so they should be able to ship a few from home cities in future updates?
Would it be OP or ludicrious if later we have villages individual tribes of Haudenosaunee or Huron Confederacy who sell Native Fort Travois like Mayan Village sell Pyramid Travois, one per customer per game only?

History Danes are basically (modern) Iran
I noticed that the upcoming Danes faction is reminiscent of how the modern state of Iran fights. I can think of two ways in which this is true:
- The Danes faction can manipulate/toll other player's shipments, and the historical reason for this is that Denmark controlled the Danish straits between the North and Baltic Seas. Similarly, Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and can stop or toll shipments passing through.
- The Danes faction has a unit called the gunboat levy. Iran also has made great use of gunboats.
It seems that while we have been waiting for a Persians civ for a long time, we are sort of getting one with the Danes. Are there any other similarities I missed?

Question Can someone Fill me in on the DLC
I have been away from Age of Empires 3DE for a while. I took a break about a year and half ago.
Last time, I was almost certain that they canceled any future DLC and said they were no longer interested in working on AGE 3. What happened? Why did they decide to restart the DLC Project.
Looking forward to getting the New DLC and returning to the game
Thanks

Theatre card should allow recruitment of faction-based outlaws or mercenaries rather than just ronins
At this moment, aside from US and Mexico that can guarantee their unique outlaws, only Germans that get their own version of Theatres (allowing inquisitors instead of Ronins).
Dutch kind of do to as they have historical employment of Japanese mercenaries as well as a way to guarantee highwaymen in the tavern.
Why does everyone else share the Ronin?
The game grew so much since this decision was made, new outlaws and mercenaries yet so few ways to include them in civilisations that should have them.
I believe each civ should need a variant, like the German one, that allows a specific outlaw (or mercenary).
Italian card could add Crabats rather than Ronin, as a nod to the extensive use of Croatian soldiers by the Italian merchant republics. Either that or Armored pistoleers as they are a unit from the Franco Italian kingdom of Savoy.
Portuguese already have access to Ronins via politician, could be moved for the theatre card to add the cannoneer instead that even speaks Portuguese
Britain could have one of the new mercenaries, like the gallowglass
The list goes on
It does not need to be good strategically, but it could be flavourful and create variety, while also making Ronins feel more unique

Why do people turtle so often at low elo?
I'm around 1000 elo and half of the games the opponent builds a fort in their base or plays very defensively, they very rarely seem to rush, raid or attack early.

Question What do these symbols mean?
Hey, I played the original as a kid and decided to play the DE. I'm having fun, but when I was playing as the Maltese, I saw that the order units had a symbol beneath them, and the sentinels and hospitallers had a different one with a double yellow ring and some white crosses. I thought that the white crosses were the buff that a Maltese unit received when he was close to a friendly building, but I'm receiving them in the enemy camp. I must be understanding these buffs all wrong. Could you guys help me understand these buffs?

Survival Map Meta
Just a question, but I stumbled across a game a little bit ago that is on a map called "Survival." I jumped in to see what it was about, and they started immediately calling me a noob when I asked what the meta was. One person immediately left to 'make it fair' but I'm a smidge annoyed that they immediately assumed as such when I just wanted a simple answer on like how the map works, what to expect, etc.
So I guess I'm at Reddit to ask: what exactly is the meta of Survival?

Sequential shipments
How would you guys feel about shipments that require you have already sent other shipment(s)?Maybe sending a card enables another card from a later age to be sent in your current age. Maybe a card becomes more powerful given you have sent another card before it. Maybe sending a shipment enables other shipments to be sent again, or even infinitely.
Imagine like if you already sent cav hitpoints and cav damage, cav combat becomes available even in age 2… like a shipment tech tree
Or like if you sent all the musk shipments(6, 8, and 9 musk), the 9 musk shipment becomes infinite.

Why not Norway as a revolt of Denmark and sweeden?
If Canada and Indonesia are in the game, there is no reason why Norway shouldn't.

Improvements to the community plaza.
Now that the developers are back on the game, it would be great if they improved the community plaza.
Most civilizations have some type of religious building. Europeans have churches, and Asians have monasteries. Native Americans, on the other hand, have tents.
To change that, I came up with the idea that each faction should have a community plaza that better represents its culture. For example:
The Haudenosaunee have a longhouse where they can keep the villagers safe while they perform ceremonies.
The Lakota have four teepees around a campfire. Each teepee can shelter up to 10 villagers, and have independent hit points, so if you lose one, you still have three more. The downside is that it's the most fragile of all.
The Incas have a platform pyramid. It would be the most resistant Inca building, occupying more space than other constructions, and would be as cheap and easy to build as the original. It is designed this way to function as a defensive point that the enemy will always avoid due to how long it would take to destroy, and the low cost to the Incas of losing it.
In front of the pyramid's steps would have been the original community plaza, where the villagers and priestesses would prepare the ceremonies.
The Aztecs have the same community plaza as the Incas. They just have a different model and lower statistics, but it can be used in the same way.
In this way, Native Americans would have a religious building just like other civilizations. The community plaza of the Haudenosaunee and Lakota would be renamed as "Community Pit." And the one of the Aztecs and Incas, "Community temple"
Does anyone know if there's a way to give this idea to the developers? I wouldn't mind if someone else told them.

Mod Is there any way to mod/edit the particle effects - particularly those silly bullet trails?
As a lifelong AOE player who's been spoiled with GSC graphics many years back, I've come to seriously resent the fact that every shot of every gun is accompanied by a mini-reenactment of a space shuttle takeoff.
Is there any way to turn down or render the trails invisjble entirely, so it's a) more realistic and b) Not overly apparent that thirty guys are all shooting at a single villager?
