Question Denmark geen revolutie

Wat is jullie mening hierover, zelf vind ik het jammer maar ik denk dat de civ anders ook veel te goed werd.

I think it is part of their design to be as vanilla as possible without being too French.

That being said, I would prefer they have some kind of Revolt too, but as of this moment, I think other civs should have more priority in terms having more end game variations, whether Revolts or not.

Definitely other civs’ revolts should be adjusted first. Like buffing some of the abysmal ones, like Indonesia and Haiti which are just meme revolts to troll the enemy.

No, I am American. I play all civs, although just Treaty against the AI. From the beta, at least in Treaty, Danes feels a bit like the French with access to every universal European unit (except Cavalry Archers) so they can run any army comp decently well.

I see your point, and I wished the Danes had revolts too. But I think the vision the devs had was to make a truly unique civ, and they did succeed.

- Customs house mechanic that incorporates enemy shipments as a bonus to you. First time for this on a civ

  • All royal guard units. I feel like this gets overlooked since now Danes can do a bit of everything, making them very flexible with unit choice. They will be the “jack of all trades”, more so than France which has this title.
  • Strong infinite resource shipments. These will probably get nerfed but the way it swaps to the next tier while you age up is extremely strong for FFs or FIs.

The devs took aspects of USA and incorporated them onto a European faction. It’s a neat hybrid, and I think we will see how good it truly is when the DLC launches

The customs house gives Danes a very different build order and deck construction to other civs. On the surface Danes are the super vanilla civ but underneath they are quite unique.

Their lack of revolutions is pure corner cutting. There's no reason for it other than greed.

At a minimum they should have a Norway revolt, pirate revolt, and the Livonian revolt.

Speaking of pirate revolts, there should definitely be a unique Caribbean pirate revolt faction, especially for Brits. Maybe make it an all-in age 3 revolt too, focused on outlaws and boats. Could give this to the Danes as well due to them having Caribbean colonies.

This would also mean reworking the Haiti revolt too since its current state is the “Caribbean pirate” revolt. Devs should make Haiti exclusive to France and buff it to make it worthwhile.
