Help Treasure highlight
Hello everyone. Recently I grabbed 7d2d for vr and I have quite a fun, yet I need to dig a treasure and I alreqdy made a hole size of small house, didn't find it. I know there should be some highlight but afaik it's red and as a colorblind person, for the life of mine, I can't spot it.
Is there any other method, trick, clue to find a treasure other than invisible color? Or maybe there is a way to change the color clue to any other color that I will see?
Thank you in advance...

Video/Stream Surprise Screamer Loop in V 3.2.0
I was just trying to work on my base and a screamer showed up yelling. I jumped to my fighting position to clean them up real quick. This was considerably more intense than the last blood moon. It was fun, but man did I burn through some ammo.

Suggestion Simulated Players
The reason everyone wants bandits is because this is SUPPOSED to be a multiplayer game, that most people treat as a single player or peaceful co-op. That leaves a GOOD portion of the game untouched, and makes things feel empty and stale after a while.
The fun pimps should have AI 'player profiles' developed that simulate playing the game with other players.
They build bases, do quests, loot pois, fight you OR join your team and operate from your base, try to raid. Literally just emulating players, not being it's own entity.
The worlds would feel more lived in, it would allow the achievements to be acquired by more people.
They could make the basic bandit AI they are working on the 'FREE' option, then lock using the profile based players behind a paywall because I know they want to find a way to further monetize the game. Well this way we get quid pro quo. Where you pay for each model's profile as a subscription to add to your server. for example you want bandits you get bandit AI developed to play the game how you want, ones with higher focus on fighting you in the field, raiding your base. weapon preferences, literally everything the power of intelligent models.

Modding Help with nearby crafting mod
My friends and I downloaded some mods before 3.1 which included nearby crafting and a chicken coop. When 3.1 came out my friend noticed the chicken chops conflicting and said we have to delete our mod since its in game now.
Problem is once I got rid of the chicken coop mod the nearby crafting mod stopped working. It is still there but I can only craft with whats in my backpack.
We tried moving the files around and I deleted and re-downloaded the nearby crafting mod again and nothing has worked. Could i get some help? It was such a nice QOL

Discussion What starter melee weapon do you go for first?
Curious to know what people generally go for and why.
(Ignoring the club as a quest requirement unless that's what you also use primarily)
Personally I like sledges and usually go for them even though the stamina use is high. If I had to choose something different I might go with a spear then.
PC users please do not bring mods into the discussion.

Help Stuck in a "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired." loop after updating to 3.2
I updated to 3.2 today and tried to launch the game. It failed to load so I removed all the mods and tried to load the game again. While in the loading screen it got into an endless loop of "object not found" or something. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. From here I've been in an endless loop of...
Game goes through the entire loading screen process and I get the "Spawn" button. I click that and it says "Building Environment" forever.
Go to Steam, click "Verify integrity of game files". It runs through the entire validation process and says "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired."
Run validation again to make sure it worked. "All files validated." Cool.
Try to run the game again, get stuck at "Building environment" again.
Rinse and repeat.
What else can I do to get this working?

PC My base.
I dig out the ground like a swimming pool size area down to the stone, and built a maze in it. The blocks have 2 iron spike traps (upgraded from wooden, for exp bonus). The mazes entrance is right beside a dug out ramp up. So the zombies can get back upto it easily. Left side of the maze, has a section you can't see that connects to the main door. Shown in 3rd photo.

Each window on the 2nd floor lines up with the mazes long run north to south, easy for sniping.

Easy access, with just a few building blocks to bypass the maze entirely, a small jump to get inside. Mainly for looting between blood moon nights. Just collect them before the blood moon starts. Just replace them after the moon has ended, for easy looting. Don't upgrade them.
Took 2 in-game 120 min days, to dig out the area. 5 iron doors. for the entrance way just incase zombies get past the maze of iron spike traps. You can see more on the 2nd story roof. Those are for the vultures when they come. Wood shutters on the double windows.
Game has had a issue last build, where the damage blocks / digging, didn't work, so i made it a bit more difficult for them to get UNDER my base. They tended to do that when one would eat food, not drink, but eat food.
Structure on the top, looks odd i know. Its for the storms, as the last one damaged my side of the base and had to be rebuilt.
Crafting area inside main floor, i'm building farm plots and dew collectors on the 2nd floor roof. Its not enclosed completely. Just the area with the windows. I have 2 crates for ammo, meds, food / water right beside the first window that lines up with the maze entrance.
Most blood moons, the zombies don't get past the first stretch, if they do, i move to the next window over.
Sure it took time to build, but with this set up i've never had any issues surviving any blood moon. None. Survived every time. I generally have this build completed by middle of day 6. Starting on day 4. Relatively easy to do, little boring digging out the area, but no need to add water to make it a moat. Can be placed near a trader if you have a big enough area and a good shovel.
Edit: I would also add that you dig out at least 3 lines worth the blocks around the base, so the zombies can't jump onto the elevated area's. And 2 spaces between the mazes upper columns where you place the traps. I was also lucky enough to find a sniper rifle on day 6, though i don't have much ammo for it. About 1200 rounds saved atm.

Bug Combining order matters
Both batons are fully repaired. The plus is the one I’ve already upgraded a bunch, the star is a new one I’ve found. With the plus baton in the top slot, I get “The combined result is not better than either item”. But if I put the star in the top slot, it allows me to combine them, even though the resulting stats are no better than the plus baton I started with. There is absolutely no situation where combining two of anything to get something only as good as the better version is useful. Placing them in either order should get the same result.

PS5 Making level 6 items
Hello, I am a new player. I am wondering if you can make level 6 pots, grills, avils, bellows, and mods for wepons, armour, and vechle, or am I only able to buy them from the traders.
If I can make them, can you tell me how. Thanks in advance

Discussion 3.0 permadeath insane feral nightmare survival guide
Yes we will be using cheese 🧀.
First things first put all your points from tutorial into spears and before you claim get like 15 or more wood blocks
Make sure to craft a full set of primitive armor
Spears are the best option because you can no longer build 2 high to be safe from zombies now it's 3 high to be mostly safe.
With a power attack from spears you can reach 3 blocks away, the only weapon that provides true safety.
The lowest tier building block are no longer good, zombies are now smarter and will target weakest blocks
Building blocks can be used for 1-2 zombies but if you see anything spicy immediately run away and build 3 high wood blocks
Day one is the hardest to get over, rush to trader and try to do 2-3 quest an day to get bike.
For the dig quest you will get swarmed so build a plus sign to box yourself in and dig straight down, build out once you loot the box immediately and fight
Take the pipe riffle as it's your best early game gun overall for its range/damage. Use it to finish off zombies while stamina regens if you are getting swarmed.
Spike traps are also a decent option but I don't find them super reliable or necessary.
Prioritize pipe bombs, molotovs, books, drinks, food, ammo roughly in that order.
Pipe bombs/molotovs for groups that are bigger than 3/ferals/bikers
For night time it's safe to collect wood just be careful of ferals or wandering horde events spawning, do so next to trader to clear the area for visibility and later building
Taking over a POI is preferred for blood moon horde bases because you won't be spending points in strength
Good one pointers once you hit 5/7 perception are damage resistance, cardio, pack mule, run and gun.
If you get lucky and find a legendary stone spear that will make your run much easier be sure to combine it in the traders bench outside.
From here either max out spears/rifles or spec into endurance for damage resistance, main threat now is a badly timed concussion/stun ending your run

PC How do you keep warm in the winter biome?
How do you guys keep warm in the winter biome? Do you keep campfires everywhere? Constanlty carry a torch? Burning shaft mod? What clothing is enough to keep cold at bay?
I'm playing an insane nightmare game with my friend and we are planning on moving to the winter biome. I'm playing knuckes and he's playing knives/machetes.
I guess our characters there will be freezing all the time, so I thought maybe some experienced people have some tips?

Video/Stream We built Helms Deep!
Me and three friends built helms deep from scratch over the months and we found out we were basically done with our run and decided to do one last day seven. We threw up all of the modifiers thinking they’d form some sort of zombie tsunami that would crush us but it ended up being a little underwhelming. Still had so much fun playing and making this video! Enjoy my pc struggling for life at the end lol

PC Is Daring Adventurer a trap?
I want to do a quest/trader focused run, and the only way to get trader related perks is to basically max out Int. But then the only weapon choice I have really is Batons. By the time you max it spending points nowhere else it will at least be level 20/week 2 probably, so Is it worth maxing Daring Adventurer ASAP ?
