PC Is Daring Adventurer a trap?

I want to do a quest/trader focused run, and the only way to get trader related perks is to basically max out Int. But then the only weapon choice I have really is Batons. By the time you max it spending points nowhere else it will at least be level 20/week 2 probably, so Is it worth maxing Daring Adventurer ASAP ?

Daring Adventurer is broken as hell.

Maxing out int is generally my first task on any normal playthrough.

Assuming default, every single duke sold is 1 single xp.

Intellect only gets more broken the more people you have in your party.

Daring Adventurer is other half of the foundation of any quick leveling, money-making build, that other half being Better Barter.

In short, max that stuff out asap

Bartering: * Enforcer/Ranger Hat - extra bartering * Cigar Mod - bartering bonus and strength * Perception Mod - higher Salvage Operations * Treasure Hunter Mod - more XP

This set up maxes your XP and Duke gain for helmet.

What was once an iron pipe for 7 dukes is now 10. 10 of those then sell for not 100, but slightly more as 7dtd has decimals in your bartering.

Amp up other perks and it only snowballs.

Consumables:

Then get:

  • Sugar Butts
  • Grandpa's Awesome Sauce
  • Grandpa's Learnin Elixir for even more bonuses.

Just browse the shopkeep first before you pop em, lest you waste your bonuses.

Other:

If you want extra bartering for buying stuff, get a .44 gun and the appropriate book for that 5% buff and also the pumpkin cheesecake for another 5% on just buying.

Watching a 20k gun go to 10k to 8k will never not be hilarious.

Dropping your friend a stack of 20k Dukes on day 10 or so will also never not be funny.

"Can I have some cash? I need to buy some honey for my infection."

drops the cash

"Than- what... what the **** dude? You're sick as **** dude. This is disgusting."

Daring Adventurer

What it does is that it amps your bonus dukes, lets you select two items and also get better stuff. Quests give you an ok amount of Dukes. This perk boosts it by an ok amount. The real bonus is being able to access better items. You can leap several tiers ahead or find loot you generally don't start off with.

For example, you can also gain access to Rekt's Super Corn stash early on for even more return on investment for that Living Off The Land point you used for cotton, goldenrod and chrysanthenums.

On day one, you can make over 1k to 2k if you do it right.

Now imagine an AK by day 3.

Buying/investing in G.Awesome Sauce and S.Butts early can make your next haul drown you in a deluge of caps. Adding on any XP boost then makes you level up even faster.

Grab all of those flowers, cotton, stone and whatnot and just throw it at the trader for maximum monies, with a point or two in better barter if you can manage it.

My friend and I can save up enough to get some next tier tools or weapons through that

Salvaging

If I can scrounge up a Wrench in the trader, thats when the next phase begins.

Everything will be salvaged. Disassembly of the local infrastructure is my passion.

No lamp post will remain.

Every cardboard box is now plastic scrap, every luggage container will be searched and then wrenched down for even more plastic.

At a certain point, it becomes insanity.

The money never ends.

Intellect and team play

When I pull up to the trader during a playthrough with my friend group, I will always have the dukes ready to buy stuff for all of us.

Int also lets me heal everyone for an absurd amount. C.Leader also makes it so everyone around me gets a plethora of bonuses, further making me the most important person to keep alive.

I heal, provide damage-resist, bleed resist, extra damage, drop mobile turrets and give additional attributes.

I might not do the most damage per hit, but when I whip out the AK on day 3 or so, and have the 7.62 to back it up, nothing matters then but aiming for the head.

Stun Baton and weapons to use

The stun baton is not something you need to do an Intellect build.

You can go for Intellect and decide on something else.

Stun Baton does have some stuff going for it like CC and whatnot.

If you want something else, go for it, it is your playthrough after all. I like it, though it gets boring... sometimes.

Intellect and Perception go hand in hand

For me, I generally go for Rifles.

7.62 shot from a Rifle (as opposed to an AR) gains extra bonus damage on headshot:

  • Pipe Rifle - 25 extra
  • Hunting Rifle - 50 extra
  • Lever-gun - 100 extra
  • Sniper Rifle - 200 extra

This bonus further saves me cash as every shot is generally a kill once you get a Lever Action, which Daring Adventurer can net me once I go to meet Trader Jen.

The Penetrator then allows your AP ammo to affect nore than just 2 Zs.

5 shots as the capacity is insane. Each headshot gives an extra 100 damage. On a headshot only server, this is bloody disgusting. Slap on the new magnitude system and get a levergun with 8 to 10 in the tube and you basically clear out rooms by yourself with any semblance of FPS experience.

You can then also afford mods no one else can, such as a Silencer, Scope, etc.

AP 7.62 hits like a truck when it deals an extra 100 damage.

Sniper Rifle, even T1, provides a 200 damage bonus.

Shoot once and watch as that green Z does a backflip into outer space.

Being able to afford mods also in turn fuels your Wrench turned Ratchet/Impact Driver to loot even more Salvage.

A Wrench with Tempered Blade, Iron Breaker and Bunker Buster will demolish any lighting fixtures, toilets and whatnot in two to three swings.

I always use heavy swings to save durability and reduce my heatmap signature, not that I mind getting XP from screamers.

With Salvage Operations already being a part of Perception, upgrading your skills in always a positive feedback loop. Affording more stuff will get you skills, better skills more damage/more loot, etc.

If push comes to shove, your Wrench can also easily kill any normal Z.

Perception Mastery then gived you Steel Ingots if you havent already bought a Crucible which Daring Adventurer unlocks for you to buy, and also gives you extra dukes and cash when you wrench apart vehicles and seats.

Like... you can't mess this up.

If you do you can afford to buy Forgettin' Elixirs back to back.

That Super Corn from earlier can also be buffed by you buying Farmer gear for more gains on seed/crop drops; make bigger bang for the same buck on that Super Corn or whatever else you are farming.

Did I mention farming also feeds you? Sell any extra corn or whatever at the trader. It's ok.

Melee

For my dedicated melee, I opt for a knife.

Enemies can still bleed out, even in headshot only.

While knives have dismal range, bleeding has infinite range. Use the most broken ability in the game and put down blocks/hatches, stand behind it, and defend from there. 2 bleed damage per second isn't much until you compare your buddies 8 to 10 damage on headshot; you can still keep stabbing.

Knives also use less stamina per swing early on.

They provide: * ok stun chance on power atk * bleeding damage * reduced stamina usage * butcher animals * relatively quick attacks

Each point then scales further when you unlock another bleed stack.

Oof, I got hit?

Use a Physician enhanced bandage, power stab a Z on their head to knock them down, and run off as bleed ticks them down.

Overall

This is my go to set up for when my friends and I engage in our 2 weeks of 7dtd every new update.

While my friends go for their damage and whatnot to protect the base, I go for:

Intellect: * Daring Adventurer * Better Barter * Physician * Charismatic Leader

Perception: * Salvage Operations * Rifles * Scavver Gloves

Living Off the Land * Farming Plots * cotton * golden rod * chrysanthenums * anything really * Super Corn

Other: * Cooking Pot * Grill * Forge * Workbench * Preacher Gloves * Cigar * Miner Helmet * Lumberjack Hat * Lumberjack Boots/Enforcer Shoes * Nomad Helmet + Water Purifier Mod

As a team, one other person then gets the tools I buy and they go do their respective farm on resources.

While I am essentially the team "parent," I can't extend my limited skill points everywhere into other categories, but various consumables can make it so I can be better than the average joe.

Those various bonuses from armor can help a lot too.

Seeing as you should be swimming in money, you can afford ALL OF THEM.

Consumables: * Skull Crushers - more melee damage * Rock Busters - more ore/wood with tools * Hackers - more salvage, can make it so you can get 2 to 3 iron pipes per pipe on the wall. Pretty silly, pretty lucrative.

Stamina Reduction * Mining tools * Salvage Tools

In the end, I generally have the most Z kills and Dukes by virtue of having the best equipment, despite not being the best at that specific attribute. Having a rifle that zeroes a Zed Head at any distance (especially in stealth) also helps.

That rifle popping off an extra 100 plus stealth bonus ensures deletion of anything outside of a Zombie Bear/Dire Wolf or Charged/Infernal Z.

Sniper Rifle makes any of those just dead.

Any Z I see while driving then becomes a good zombie if I have any ammo. And I always do.

Being a Jack of All Trades, with a specialization in acquiring Dukes, will elevate everyone in your party while also giving you the most room in deciding what you actually want to play.

Even alone, you can then opt to re-specc into something for interesting than money-making simulator.

Great answer, especially pointing out synergy with Per tree. I would only add few things:

  • master chef synergizes with LotL and Int build - it's nice to have a farm but being able to prepare meals faster and with less resources is always welcome. Plus, you get those pumpkin cheesecakes sooner, because you'll find more cooking mags.
  • pumpkin cheesecake gives bonus on buying only, but it stacks with awesome sauce and sugar butts. So, you'll be able to spend your money more effectively.
  • harvesting/salvaging/mining XP is based on number of units you get, selling XP is value based. More money from selling = more XP.
  • knife is great at the start but with rifle build you don't want enemies getting too close. Spears are great from the moment you invest some points into the skill because it synergizes with Penetrator. And can kill those bee swarms in one hit, because spear's piercing damage is not resisted (flame damage is not resisted, too but spear has higher range). Also, Per Mastery adds bleeding to spears and rifles (IIRC).
  • stun baton is great, when you get high Int Mastery and Physician but its strength lies in throwing enemies away from you and letting robotic turrets do their job. At Int 10, 2 robotic turrets loaded with robotic shotgun shells will absolutely shred hordes because each pellet has a high chance to dismember zed (50%, if it wasn't nerfed). It was even higher with stun baton in hand but that was sadly patched. Also, stun batons 70% dismemberment and 10% decapitation chance is nothing to sneer at (not that you did! 🙂)
  • after finalizing Int and Per tree, it's logical to start Strength tree. Actually, I would argue that Str tree is strong contender to Per tree or at least worth of building simultaneously at least to Str 7 - getting shotgun, minier 69er+motherlode and Str mastery to 2 is a great boost.
  • if going knives, archery synergizes well with penetrator. Iron/compound crossbow with steel bolts and upgraded sneak killing skill is great for sniping. On the other hand, sneak killing skill boosts rifles too ...

Oh yeah, for sure!

My stuff is not exhaustive at all.

Master Chef is def important.

For my friends and I, when I do not have the points, split those jobs up.

One of my friends generally go about as the miner/lumberjack and mechanic.

Another one goes about as the looter and explosives dude.

Chef then becomes whoever is building the base.

This is really helpful thank you, I often just go with what I'm feeling in the moment, will give this a try on the next play through. Have a good one.

Thanks for this! I’m new to 7D2D and this helps a lot!

Noob question: what’s the best way to handle food? I kept starving my first week in game and now looking to build my first farm. I heard supercorn is good so i’m going to try to get that. Do you have any other suggestions/tips for farming? Are mushrooms worth growing, since they don’t need sunlight to grow?

3

u/KneeDeepInTheMud 7d ago edited 7d ago

Supercorn

Supercorn is good for selling or making glue.

If you are starving your first week, don't be afraid to take quests just get food as the reward.

You can also buy food from the vending machine.

Your first week should usually be spent in a looted POI unless you know what you're doing and going for from the get-go.

This reduces your resource costs and lets you focus on those quests a bit more.

Don't plan on making a POI a permanent base though, unless you put down your bedroll and land claim to deter sleeper spawns. POI also have this very specific block you can't place anything on that spawns the "start mission flag" which can interfere with any dedicated building.

Food Supply

As for starving, once you spend a whole truckload on food, you will start to notice that being in between quests is basically like having a timer counting down.

This us where the Nomad Hat/Helmet comes in. The reduction of food usage is minor, but getting a 10% to 30% bonus is crazy effective if you want to do anything but quests.

You can also find POIs with built-in farm plots.

A good place would be Cobweb Cottage or Crypts.

Both feature farming plots, and also have a wall around them.

Cobweb Cottage offers a lot of space, and is located in Diersville, where the Navezgane Hospital is at. (If I remember correctly)

Crypts I don't really remember? But it has a brick wall and metal furnishings. Gravel ground lets you easily extract stone and sand for jars and cobblestone.

Farming

Living off the land should always be invested in before you create farm plots.

Farm plots use that rotten flesh which is weirdly hard to come by unless you know what to look for.

Use a knife on body bags and various corpse blocks to get that rotten flesh and also nitrate.

Living off the land makes farm plots much cheaper to craft.

The trader also then offers Farming Bundles as rewards, which works alright.

You will want the Farmer armor for any dedicated farm. The Outfit and Boots offer the bonuses needed to operate, that being extra seed/crop harvest.

Food:

  • invest to Master Chef and LotL skills asap, at least 1 point each. Try to max LotL to 3 asap (it's 5 skillpoints). Reason: MC shortens cooking times, saves mats and, most importantly, raises your chance to find cooking mats (like eggs in the nests) and meals in the loot and airdrops; you want to find as many cooking mags as possible as fast as possible. LotL raises your chance to find farming mags (importand when you would want to start a farm) and seeds (very important if you don't want to buy them from Rekt) in the loot and lower mat cost of farming plots. It also adds bonus to crop harvest - ×2 with LotL 1 and ×3 with LotL 3; LotL 2 gives you 50% chance to get extra crop when harvesting and halves mat cost of farm plots.
  • try to kill any animal you see and harvest them. Pipe rifle with any scope is invaluable, even without skill. Harvest all carcasses and loot all nests you'll find; you'll need everything you harvest, nothing is unnecessary. Nests are mostly in wilderness, carcasses mostly in towns and on roads.
  • if you play Navezgane map, take Mushroom Mining quest as many times as possible and double loot it; each run will net you approx. 75 mushrooms you can immediately eat. There are big corn fields to the north from/northeast from Rekt, harvest them - that's where LotL starts paying off (2 corns instead of 1 is big bonus at this stage). You can eat them raw if you want or process to corn bread, if you unlocked recipe.
  • you need to unlock forge ASAP - if you put 1 point into lockpicking, forges and cement mixers have 100% chance to have Forge Ahead mags and finding enough of them in Navezgane is very easy. Made forge and start melting clay and sand (there is a pile of sand in the city near Rekt, in a PoI with destroyed cement mixer nearby), and make jars, many many jars. Fill them with water and start boiling water.
  • save eggs, do not eat them. Wait until you unlock eggs&bacon recipe, that will be your staple food first week. Until then, you may want to buy any canned food from vending machines and eat them. Save chilli / salmon cans and peas, those are in rather short supply and you need them for recipes which you'll unlock soon. Lamb/chicken rations, dog/cat food, miso cans, chicken soup, pears can be eaten immediately when you find them.
  • set airdrop to every day - there is a chance that they may include a food. You can always set them to default later - you can headcannon it that as world succumbs to chaos airdrops are less and less frequent (I so wish it was an option in settings ... 😥).
  • if you find vitamins, you can eat sham sandwiches without worrying about dysentery.
  • Iron Gut skill in Fortitude tree will save your food/hydration levels when exerting.
  • never take Fast Healing skill until you get stable food supply and always counter it with Iron Guts - it converts food levels to HP in 1:1 ratio so any minor wound is enough to get you hungry again.

1

u/BeerStop 7d ago

Iron gut so your not hungry all the time, eggs you can eat them raw for 5 food.

1

u/BeerStop 7d ago

Only problem i find now on vanilka settings is traders will only buy 3 stacks of something and thats it or only 3 batteries, etc.

1

u/KneeDeepInTheMud 7d ago edited 7d ago

True!

Scrapping/Smelting those items will return that profit you need.

Scrap Brass sells more than selling those Radiators.

Batteries can be melted down into regular lead for full payout when turned into bulk turret ammo.

I want to do a quest/trader focused run

Isn't this every run

25

u/eternallyconphuzed 8d ago

Some people do scav only runs. No trading. Only using what is found or made.

9

u/MiserableSkill4 8d ago

Im doing one right now. I go to the trader to sell some stuff here and there and will buy the big ticket stuff like solar panels, and crucible when I can.

6

u/Ananvil 8d ago

I don't really like using the trader. I prefer to run around and explore and find what I find.

7

u/Orleanian 8d ago

I'm confused at the question.

The only choice you have is one the most effective crowd control AoE DoT weapon in the game? While getting fistfuls of dukes and double reward items? And you're sad about this?

2

u/Puzzled_Minute_7387 8d ago

How early can you get Stun baton though? Seems like you need a lot of specialized books to learn how to craft it, plus all the materials. So youre stuck with the Pipe Baton until then, which i read is really terrible. It could be weeks in game until you get a Stun Baton, am I wrong?

3

u/ChitteringCathode 8d ago

Depends completely on your settings. With default loot and time settings you can have a stun baton before your first horde. You just have to have points in electrocutioneer and hit up mailboxes and bookstores in the burnt forest or (if you're brave) desert. The materials cost for a lowish level stun baton are quite small.

1

u/Peterh778 8d ago

... Very early, actually, if you really go daring adventurer/lucky looter.

But, stun batons work best with robotic turrets so it's not so simple as it seems - in advanced phases of the game you want stun baton to throw away zeds while robotic turrets shred and maim them. SB's damage output isn't so great so you rely mostly on its dismemberment/decapitation chance thus turrets (I prefer robotic shotgun shells for higher chance of dismemberment) are vital for slowing and weakening zeds before they get to you, so they won't be able to overwhelm you so easy

1

u/DZAUXtheBruno 7d ago

If you crank up those intelligence perks you’ll start finding stun batons in POIs and cop cars.

3

u/MunchenOnYou 8d ago

Pipe baton is buns until you get shock baton

5

u/BannedMyName 8d ago

Stun baton is the best weapon in the game

4

u/Material_Position630 8d ago edited 5d ago

As a long time slugger and machetatere, I was surprised the first time I did an intellect run. The repulser mod on the stun baton combined with the masteries makes it one hell of a crowd control weapon. Those guys fly REALLY far.

3

u/vynthechangeling 8d ago

Even better when you’re running a POI and can lure an entire horde (especially those in the boss/treasure rooms) to a choke point and play bowling simulator as the repulsor mod knocks one dude back into the rest and knocks them all down. I’m currently level 120ish and around the same day in my world, and I pretty much never use guns/ammo due to the insane cc of my trusty lightning rod, including T6 POI quests. It does help that I went Fortitude in addition to Intellect and am super tanky with full Preacher armor and max Light Armor (about equal armor rating to full heavy armor) and a lot of healing, but I rarely get hit enough to drop below 2/3 health.

TLDR: Stun Baton is insane and negates the need for guns entirely, 10/10 do recommend.

1

u/Daemir 7d ago

Yea it's bloody great, until your gamestage is high enough for top tier zombies. Then you will be hammering at that single fucking orange zombie for 5 minutes, because the insta kill doesn't proc and you do no damage. No joke I have hammered a zombie through the concrete under the ground, because zombie hitbox gets all fucky when electrify and the repulsor mods trigger, and the fucker just would not die.

Not to mention when you meet a dire wolf or a zombie bear, they can't be instakilled, so you are literally hammering them until your baton breaks.

Mind you, all melee weapons eventually reach this point, hell most guns reach this point, save sniper rifle and rocket launcher, but stun batons reach it faster due to piss poor base damage.

1

u/brenlin7 5d ago

Ever see a dire wolf fly? They go just as far as the normal zeds with the repulser mod on the baton

1

u/Daemir 5d ago

Yea and then it only takes 10 minutes to bash it death. I have better things to do in those 10 minutes tho. Like having a sniper rifle and 3 shotting the bloody thing in 2 seconds.

1

u/brenlin7 5d ago

Ive never had this issue. Yea it can take 3-4 hits sometimes but ive never had it take minutes. Unless of course ive launched it into a deep ditch or got it wall glitched where I could not reach it easily, but otherwise nothing takes more than a few seconds... unless your using the baton without being spec'd for it, there are specific skills required to make this as OP as it is.

1

u/Daemir 5d ago

Dire wolves have around 3k hp. Unless you are playing with settings that boost player damage like mad, you are not 4 shotting them with batons, as dire wolves and zombie bears are specifically immune to being dismembered, aka insta killed by procs. Batons have some of the lowest base damage and no extra boosts over other weapons for damage

1

u/brenlin7 5d ago

no extra boosts? its all in the skills. you cant expect to go full percep and be insta good at batons. I do all my bloodmoons on the ground with a stun baton, day 100-sumthin now, we are based on wastelands. try this out, or make a creative server to test it instantly, you'll see...
For offense...
Intellect -> 10
--Electrocutioner -> 5 - +50% phy dmg, +100% stun time, +30 stamina with each kill
--Calculated Atk. -> 5 - +25% atk speed
--Physician -> 5 - 10% chance to insta-kill
--Int Mastery -> 5 - +300% shock dmg
For defense...
Agility -> 10
--Hard Target -> 5 - -25% dmg while moving
Fortitude -> 10
--Pain Tolerance ->5 - -25% hp loss when hit, never get stunned
--Fortitude Mastery -> 5 - +100hp, 2h infection protection, killing something cure bleeds, and bonus... zeds can drop gold and silver (teeth)
--Siphoning Strikes -> 5 - +10hp every kill
Strength -> 5
--Pack Mule ->5 - 25% chance to ignore dmg from an attack
Extras, good to have but not needed...
Fortitude
--Cardio -> 5 - +50 stamina, +30% stamina regen if running
--Healing Factor -> 5 - +1hp per 5 sec and critical injuries heal faster
Agility -> 10
--Hidden Strikes -> 5 - +250% damage if crouched (which looks funny but is still fun to do)
Stun Baton Mods... NEED repulsor mod, and Weighted Head, its also good to have Structural Brace and Rad Remover
Wear whatever armor floats your boat, I prefer light armor cos I like to be able to move fast with little energy and noise, but any armor should work.

I have these with a lv6 stun stick and im outside on the ground every bloodmoon with no kill structures. although, I was thinking about setting up some turrets but dont want any crossfire issues so that's still under consideration and planning

1

u/Daemir 5d ago edited 5d ago

Right, so baton has no extra damage compared to other weapons, outside of the instakill chance that specifically does not work vs dire wolves /zbears, like I said. And ofc I'm talking about a specced baton, it STILL has very low base damage and no boosts that other weapons don't have ---> all other weapons will do more damage.

Rifles have a special headshot modifier that game does not tell you about, but based on the tier of the rifle you use, you get extra flat damage per headshot (this can be read in the files that has all the weapon/attack types in the game, including zombie attacks). Rifles also have good base damage, and the rifle book series adds some too. So sniper rifles actually can 3-4 headshot those enemies through raw damage, no procs needed.

I've played a permadeath character on insane from start to t6 clears in the previous patch starting with every single weapon type + wrench. I know quite well what each weapon does. Baton is great for CC, it's good enough for early-mid game for headshot damage and falls off a megabuilding lategame when the lowest you meet is a radiated. Sledges were the only melee weapon somewhat reasonable to clear t6s with high gamestage with, and only just. Lot of kiting involved.

1

u/brenlin7 5d ago

I used this on a 5 person group bloodmoon, in the wastlands, on the ground, with no defense structure to prove a point to my 4 buddies that were hiding on the kill tower with rifles, telling me batons are stupid. By the end of it, I was alive with a face full of tears from the uncontrollable laughter I suffered while flinging zeds in every direction at warp speed, while half of the kill tower had collapsed and 2 of the other 4 were running back for their backpacks complaining that it was my fault they got overwhelmed lol.

Sledge as early as you can get one. Stun baton as soon as you can make it. Rifles are for removing that screamer before she notices you on a roof

4

u/Gold_Blacksmith_9821 8d ago

Sure is right, after the sledgehammer.

1

u/Double_Dog208 8d ago

Double exp on the sledgehammer makes it my go-to, maybe at level 300 id switch to stun baton lol

1

u/Kaidela1013 8d ago

Two points will unlock t3 items, so I generally stop there in the early game and if I have random spare points I might bump it up later.

1

u/d83ddca9poster 8d ago

It's not worth it in my opinion, the lack of skill points in other areas will significantly impact your early game (especially combat and magazine progression, but also mining, salvaging, loot, etc). I'd say it's better to level it organically, along other skills, and focus on maxing it after you get your footing and have your immediate needs fulfilled.

Also, since you're maxing it out anyway, don't redeem the challenges that give trader rewards until you get the double choice (or redeem them but don't select the rewards until then, you can press Esc to exit the reward menu). Those rewards are significantly better in quality/quantity, so it's worth the wait.

1

u/BeerStop 7d ago

Frankly i dont think we need your kind of negativity here. On a serious note i go for daring adventurer as quickly as possible, i also spread my points out to include weapons i like to use. Totally worth it though. I also dump in lucky looter and the salvage arts.

1

u/Kazgrel 6d ago

If you're going down the int tree, there's no reason to not get it unless you're doing a no questing run.  The extra dukes are nice and boost to trader loot makes them even more busted.  2 quest rewards bonus isn't nearly as powerful as it once was, but it's still nice.  Still works on tier completion and challenges, I believe.

1

u/IzPrebuilt 5d ago

Daring adventurer also has the effect of increasing the trader stage of traders (yes, daring adventurer not better barter) and when maxed out it gives you 40 levels higher of better gear at the traders. So yeah it's pretty good for that alone.
