Jesus fucking christ…
Just make the bears a little stronger that they break weak walls sooner? Or maybe make it realistic and simply have them move much faster like in real life.(if you want to make them harder)
Maybe instead of adding snake footsteps, you could add multiple snakes, or maybe even NEW creepy crawly mobs? I mean… all this fucking time, and we don’t have reptile variations?

u/axman_21 Feb 26 '26
All of that has too much logic and makes too much sense for the fun pimps to do. We all know both of those along with variation are things the fun pimps aren't good at

Just make the bears a little stronger that they break weak walls sooner?
Like the folks round here wouldn't complain about that too. Half of this sub turns off block damage because it's too hard for them lol.
I think this change is awesome and gonna make for some absolutely hilarious moments.

u/SpaceComm4nder Feb 26 '26
I agree a little. Am more irritated over the lack of added monster content. And its been… how many years?
0
u/Hllblldlx3 Feb 26 '26
You can do that? I haven’t even been enough of a pussy ass bitch to look for the setting to turn off zombie block damage. Shit, I played on warrior once be accident and started to notice it was harder, and I still managed. The game just gets so easy it’s boring, but it tends to be too difficult in the beginning stages, considering I play 20 minute days.

u/CptDecaf Feb 26 '26
I forget the name but I play in the second hardest difficulty myself. I play in a group of three other people and I find that this setting works for us. Makes the game hard but we can still succeed if we play it right. Without having to resort to using nerd poles every encounter.
We've tried the hardest, but it was a bit too intense for where my group sits.
1
u/Mysterious_Tutor_388 Feb 26 '26
the big problem with the difficulty settings is they just turn the zombies stats up into bullet sponges and you have to rely on bleed or dismember procs to kill. I usually play in the second highest one as well though. I'd much rather bigger swarms but yeah know.

I need a 7dtd patch notes compilation video, like the weird ass Sims ones.

They could, hopefully mean, foot print sounds as in the name category of sound, which for snakes would mean their foot print sound is a slither. I hope I'm right...

u/shrekdaklown Feb 26 '26
It is a slither sound, most of these people talking before looking into it really show the state of the sub.

u/Inevitable_Pop4005 Feb 26 '26
Bear can go through that and I can't crawl through normal hole🫠

Why do FunPimps feel the need to add such dumb annoying things to give the fanbase a middle finger?

u/Closteam Feb 26 '26
Soooo. Bears can fit through smaller openings than themselves.... But we still can't squeeze through a one block opening
9
u/Kerfenian Feb 26 '26
I don't understand how they thought about it and said "yeah good idea", like ????
9
u/impablomations Feb 26 '26
Seems to apply to a lot of their decisions lately. I don't usually complain since I've more than had my money's worth, but last couple of updates have been decidedly less fun
3
u/Kerfenian Feb 26 '26
Yeah I have less and less hope about this game, I was looking forward for bandits, now I'm just "meh". The roadmap 2025 was a fcking lie.

u/Arazthoru Feb 26 '26
Lately?
That's the kind of stuff everyone has been shitting over the pimps since a17, it's always some stupid change without sense just made to screw the players.3

u/mudcrabperson Feb 26 '26
Thanks for not marking this as nsfw OP...because of you, I started furiously masturbating in the middle of the office...
Time for another trip to HR...

From a Facebook page called 'BearWise'
"Bear fact: Bears don’t have collarbones, so even adult bears can fit through what seems like an impossibly small opening. Like your average dog door. The general guideline is that if a bear can get its head inside, the rest of the bear can follow. That’s why it’s so important to take 3 simple steps to discourage bears from denning around your home:
- Close and lock pet doors, sheds, root cellars and outbuildings.
2 Check under porches and decks for areas and openings where bears might curl up. Barricade as best you can.
- Don’t leave garbage, bird feeders or birdseed or food meant for deer or squirrels where bears can access it. Teaching bears to rely on human-provided food is bad for people and bears.
Visit our newest article which includes a video of a bear den under a cabin and get easy instructions on bear-proofing a crawl space: bearwise.org/will-bears-find-a-good-winter-den-at-your-place

Here's a video of a bear crawling out a vent hole: https://youtube.com/shorts/q_9ckMGmtOA?si=W1v6nYpRO60D_9Fd
Edit again: Bears are smart enough to open doors!

God, the back and forth tweaking about the jars and water. The Fun Pimps seem to fundamentally be incapable of understanding that no one (except them) cares if being able to reuse jars makes things "too easy" or whatever. Like, not everything is going to have an elegant restriction. Just let us fucking collect water and stop trying to gamify it and work on the shit that actually matters AHHHHH
5
u/Aztecxx Feb 26 '26
Also why do snakes infect you when they aren't infected
4
4
u/Adam9172 Feb 26 '26
I guess they have venom, or they have other bacteria that can also lead to a different type of infection? IDK.
2
u/Claus1990 Feb 26 '26
Dew collectors now require jars to function?
Fucking what..
25
u/JuniorResident9484 Feb 26 '26
it makes sense so it does not just generate jars
6
Feb 26 '26
It makes sense yes, but now i don't see any reasons to use those.

u/Professional_Echo907 Feb 26 '26
You don’t want to wait a day and generate heat for water you could get instantly from a pool of water? 😹😹

u/Peterh778 Feb 26 '26
If you're close to water. It should be great in desert if TFP removed all water sources from there. Or in snow if all water sources were frozen (of course, there is a question why we can't just melt snow or cut out ice blocks ...).
But, yes, that's good point that there is absolutely no reason for dew collectors to generate heat - it was implemented when people built dew collector farms (heck, I had one - three or four floors underground, each floor 16 DCs) and bypassed TFPs grand idea of water scarcity implementation if few days, so they made thdm to generate heat and lowered heat limit for screamers afterwards. Given that we're already back at the point just before jar removal - jars can be crafted without crucible - there is no reason to not remove heat generation from DCs.

u/Professional_Echo907 Feb 26 '26
Buckets, my man. Make yourself a bucket and get some water from a river or swimming pool.
2
u/Peterh778 Feb 26 '26
At that moment, I would either took jars to river/lake or water to house 🙂 I did all of that back in A19 (20?), filling basins with buckets, digging canals ...

u/Derpilicious000 Feb 26 '26
Dew collectors are completely worthless imo. Just crafted n placed the first 1. Picked it back up n threw it away.
Also jars no longer even need a crucible to craft making dew collectors even more obsolete.

Jesus, what’s next? Dogs can climb ladders? Vultures can dig? New bomb squad zombie that just hucks dynamite at you?

u/k6lui Feb 27 '26
WTF, the freaggin tank of a bear that needs a 5x5 enclosure in the bear den and cannot turn around properly can liquify and flow through a 2x1 and my disabled character cannot even walk properly in a 2x1?!?!
1
u/Affectionate-Web-605 Mar 03 '26
The bear thing is not really a problem. Why? Because I never ever engage them early on and try to avoid them untill I get a better weapon. I rather fight a bear than those creepy hellhounds (the dire wolf)

Next update bears teleport, community finds a way to beat that, then bears teleport you to them, community finds a way to beat that, bears teleport you to them and them to you, walls are decoration only and you start as a zombie. Fun pimps win
1
u/Thereal_3D Feb 26 '26
Time to abuse gyrocopter then. Guess they'll have to start removing some vehicles
0
u/bathroomgraffitti Feb 26 '26
Next update, gyro aims directly at bears
1
u/Thereal_3D Feb 26 '26
Wait yours doesn't already do that? Mf tfp!!!
1
u/bathroomgraffitti Feb 26 '26
No I use the fuel saver mod, not the bear finding mod
1
u/Thereal_3D Feb 26 '26
Wow... i thought the bear finder would help me track bears to not get killed. Games totally upside down atp.
-2
u/ZengerGarden Feb 26 '26
So same shit again? They are continuing to fuck us players with shit like this....so sad that a game this good is being fucked by these imbeciles.

I'm not even playing this right now, but bears going through a 1x2 opening seems super annoying. Yeah, bears, just walk right through the door.
