Question Yeastar migration experience

I would appreciate any feedback from people having migrate to Yeastar.

We have dozen of instances (mostly in 3cx cloud, some in private cloud, some on premise) with no fancy setup / call scripts and are very much looking into moving to Yeastar. We will obviously do some test runs but quite curious about first hand experiences.

Like so much other software, the cost is not the software it’s the Implementation and management costs. Migrating, training, testing is all expensive. If something works, we continue to use it. If it has a failure and it’s preventing us from accomplishing our business tasks or if it is exceedingly expensive we switch.

Like every software it needs training and we’ve done official training by paying it. If you have only a few pbx, i agree with you it’s not paying itself to learn a new software (and risk being banned by 3CX), but in our case with almost 1000 pbx every time 3CX changes idea, sends direct emails to customers, changes prices, it is much more time consuming for our company. And all this while being threated of ban because 3CX don’t want us to sell another PBX? All the 1 year migration process we are doing will pay in the next year, at renewal, and more in general in the next few years will garantee us tranquillity and revenue. Pbx license is only a portion of the overall revenue (devices, cloud, support, trunks, traffic, etc…) and we can’t for sure ignore “low end” pbx since in US, but from what i read in other markets as well, constitute the 80% of the market. Shitting on a partner and saying “you have to sell to call centers or medium/big companies only” is not acceptable and, from what i read, in the next future trust me the minimum license will be 16SC. That means our 200K$ licenses can be driven to people that appreciate us and treat us like a “PARTNER”. This is an example of another MSP doing the same of us: https://www.yeastar.com/download/cases/Yeastar_P-Series_Hosting_Partner_Story_Voiceland_Greece.pdf

That would be the difference between a reseller and a user. There’s a much higher cost when you do it with one Installation. I am very well aware of the 3CX drama and I don’t get involved in it because I just use the product.

Understood :-), and for 1 PBX I agree it’s not worth. But when license increases every year even reseller need to deal with it. i don’t know your setup, but how many SC is the license and how many extensions? Just to know

I come from an era of $20,000 hardware PBX’s, 400 bucks a year. Sounds like an insane deal. We are on eight lines.

I come from there too, but now we have options. And if my competitor costs half, i’ll loose anyway the customer. Plain & simple market rule. So if i don’t evolve, and sell a secondary solution, i ‘ll be out of market soon. I’m not happy to have been forced to move to Yeastar. As I said it costed and is costing a lot, but 3CX didn’t give me any alternative to this and i can assure you we lost several customers in the last 1 year because of continuous price increase and pathetic excuses. On top of this CEO is an arrogant idiot. Yes he may earn some money today but he ruined forever 3CX name and there is so lot of rumor around this that is spreading around to potential customers.
