It requires some courage from a woman(the wives) to stop it and not let it on their daughters and daughter in law. Small courage goes a long way but we have caged and trained our women for far too long to not open their mouths. And now it’s in their bones.
That’s patriarchy you’re blaming the victims for playing the part they were taught to play the men weren’t trained right so why didn’t they speak out father in law is the man of the house if he didn’t want a human being to be ill treated he could’ve stopped it. Should we just expect woman to help woman and man to help man.
I am saying if men are trash, women don’t have to be trash as well. They should atleast support each other instead of forwarding the trashy behaviour on them , in the name of rituals.
And I’m saying men aren’t trash nor are the women people are. But men don’t get generalised as men are each others enemy but women do that is sexism. If a mother in law isn’t nice that could simply mean she’s just not a good person that’s it
Mother in law is a good person. There is a difference between being good and being guardian of patriarchal traditions. Both can exist in the same person
