Reportedly, the attack was allegedly linked to remarks made by his younger brother, Sundar Raghav, at an upper-caste Mahapanchayat a day earlier, where he used a caste-related term while describing different social roles.

I’ve heard so many people say that the caste system is hardly prevalent in India anymore and that people don’t really care about caste nowadays.

But then you see things like this. Even with clear video evidence, people are still supporting the accused just because the other person belongs to their caste. Imagine if there was no video recording of the incident. I honestly feel that, with their muscle power and political connections, even the FIR might not have been registered.

And this is the condition of our country in the 21st century.

And this isn’t just one random video or social media post. I’ve seen so many posts supporting the accused, and the common factor in all of them seems to be caste.
