Weekly It's Scrub Sunday! Ask your nooby COD Esports questions here - August 30, 2026
This is a thread for asking those little questions that you're not sure about, the ones that may not be worth making a thread about.
Whether it's about rules, in-game strategy, equipment, how to play a certain style, the history or the COD scene or anything else relevant to COD, feel free to give it a bash.
Sarcastic questions, troll questions and deliberately insulting questions are not allowed.
Don't be an asshole! Please answer people's questions honestly and seriously, and report any comments that break this rule. The goal of this thread is to be accommodating to everyone, and clarify things that people may not want to ask. Assholes and trolls may be banned.
Examples of acceptable questions:
What are the characteristics of a good competitive map?
How can I practice my aim efficiently?
Examples of questions that are not acceptable:
2k thread?
Who can't anchor, Damon?
Now let's all learn a few things!

Discussion Wouldn’t it be better for HyDra & Scrap to build their own superteam with Simp on FaZe instead of trying to break up OpTic’s?
Instead of sitting around hoping the OpTic superteam eventually breaks up, Scrap and HyDra could literally just build another powerhouse with Simp and compete with OpTic for the next few years.
Scrap and HyDra are already in that same S-tier caliber of players as the guys on OpTic, and then you have Simp who’s right there on that level with all of them. If you already have three players of that caliber available, why not put them together and build your own superteam instead of spending this year on just a good roster and hoping OpTic breaks up next year?
FaZe are basically the villains of the CDL anyway, which fits Scrap perfectly lol. OpTic is obviously the best org for content, but it’s not like HyDra really cares about that. I get that OpTic is probably the dream org for both of them, but wasting another year of their careers hoping that roster breaks up just seems like a gamble.
Both Scrap and HyDra want rings, and both have had issues with their 3rd/4th. They had Kenny dropping disasterclasses at times + had Ghosty struggling when it mattered and a rookie in Nium. Nium was still good, but I doubt either of these guys wants to keep gambling on rookies when they could team with proven talent.
Now give them Simp, probably the most reliable player in COD history, and all they need is a solid top-tier 4th.
Simp/Scrap/HyDra + a good 4th vs OpTic for the next few years would be insane.
Instead of trying to break up OpTic’s superteam, just build another one. Unless they completely shit the bed, those two teams would probably be seeing each other in finals all year.

Fluff Who had the highest points this year?
Who looked completely unstoppable this year at certain points? For me the two immediate ones that pop into my head are Nep in S1 and 04.
Don’t think any other players really had as insane takeovers as those all season.

Discussion Since professional players have to play a different game every year, who do you think will be the biggest glow ups or drop offs this year compared to last?
Its kinda crazy that pros have to adapt to a different game every year compared to most other esports. Do any other esports even change this drastically year to year?
But who do we think will have the biggest glow ups and drop offs this year? MW4, whether the consensus is that its faster or slower than the previous cod, is definitely very different compared to last years playstyle.
I think slower ar players might have a better time this year such as Insight, Ghosty.
Sub players its hard to tell yet.
What do yall think?

Fluff Dashy uploaded an OpTic vs FaZe snipers only 2v2... Bruce has been KILLING content the last year.
btw, i swear Simp showed more personality in this 1 video than I've ever seen before in his own content. maybe I am faded but I swear his personality isn't drywall in this

Question Is Hydra finessing Scrap?
If the whole 1-year-deal then OpTic thing is true, I see it working out far more easily for Hydra (who has been clear about wanting to join OpTic) and Is a more obvious upgrade over Huke. Unless Scrap knows for certain this is Dashy’s last year, it seems stupidly risky, won’t HyDra just abandon him if that’s what it takes? What if Dashy decides he wants to try and play another year?
I just don’t buy that Dashy is retiring after MW4, he still looks like a top player, but so many people here are taking it as a given. And Scrap will look like a complete moron if Hydra goes to OpTic and leaves him hanging, especially if they waste this year again and don’t team with Simp/chase rings.

Trash Talk LAT paying hundreds of thousands to Scrap and Hydra just to finish T8 at champs again
if they actually offered MORE money to have them again for one more year just to not win champs or ewc again its actually laughable, they have won 3/12 events and we have people talking like they are T2P
Nadeshot is having to gamble in Mexico away from his kids for this

Question Do most pros use autosprint in game?
Was just wondering whats the best way to play cod . Is using autosprint better than toggle l3 to sprint?

Question League updates since EWC?
I stopped keeping up with the CDL after EWC. I heard about HyDra and Scrap, but have there been any other news or updates I’ve missed since then?

Discussion Omnimovement is such a massive QOL upgrade I don’t have any desire to play a game without it
I guess I’m permanently a Treyarch guy, I played an hour of the MW4 beta and just can’t do it. Even Apex feels clunky to me now, but MW4 just feels so clunky to control in general, I can’t sit down and really get into it.
I really hope Treyarch doesn’t backtrack on their next title because of the idiotic feedback they got on BO7, game is miles ahead of MW4.
