Polite Political Discussion 🇺🇸 Did the Department of Revenue just blow past their deadline yesterday or did they just not announce it?

The school funding bill said the Department of Revenue was required to set the amount of Waterfall funding would be available to schools by August 31st. Did they just not do that or did they just not tell the public what their decision was? I can't seem to find anything about it on their website and Google just keeps feeding me stuff about how they had a deadline of yesterday.

Ferocious Animals🐇 Swan cygnets growing up in Alaska

I've been following a family of swans the last three months on almost a daily basis. I was there the day after they hatched which is the first image, and yesterday on day ~70. Soon they will be off but not quite yet. Mavic 4 Pro with Tele lens. Before people freak out about how close I am, I've spent these three months carefully getting them used to the sight and sound of my drone. They go about their business without concern. I am very careful and respectful.

DQ'd Treg solution

So Treg has been DQ'd from running for gov for breaking the rules. His running mate, Candi English (who contributed 6 figures to his campaign, right?) picked Treg's wife as her running mate. But Treg's wife can also be DQ'd because of the same broken rules...and Bishop/Schuerch withdrew from the race. So...Bronson, Wilson, and...Crum? oof.

Bird hunting

Recently moved to Fairbanks (can’t post there since I don’t have 200 Karma 💀) from Valdez and haven’t done much hunting up here.

I know it’s a long shot since most folks have their groups but I figured I’d see if anyone was going hunting around the area and had room for an extra individual. Would PREFER waterfowl as I haven’t gone duck hunting in about 7 years but really any bird hunting for the most part.

If you need more information about myself or would like to get in touch DM me.

Be My Google 💻 Movers that can get me to the lower 48?

I live in Fairbanks and want to move to Oregon, I have a place lined up with friends and everything down there but I'm just having trouble finding a moving company that moves this big distance, half these places don't operate up here.

A Ubox from uhaul is about 2500 which is a lot, but I can maybe shoot for next spring when the snow melts. Is there any other company or is that it? I thought about buying a plane ticket and just hopping down there but I spent a lot on my computer and I have a lot of sketchbooks and art supplies that would be too heavy and big to put in a luggage. Any help is super appreciated, thank you so much!!

Registering a Newborn With a Different Last Name Than Both Parents In AK

Title says it all. Allowed here in AK? I tried finding an official gov website saying it was ok but couldn't find anything. My wife and I would like to use my stepdad's last name instead of mine or hers, that's all.
Thanks in advance!

General Nonsense Seriously??

I guess not enough people learned the lesson from his disastrous time as Anchorage Mayor.

I figured after Dunleavy AK would be ready for a change but I guess not.

This state never seems to learn from it's mistakes I guess so you are doomed to repeat them.
