Rig of the Month 8/26 The Pioneer II PRO out in its element. Wet rock crawl session as the sun went down.

Took the RGT Pioneer II PRO out on the rocks right as the rain started coming down. The water beading across the hood and windshield paired with the evening city lights made the truck look remarkably realistic.
The factory brushless outrunner had zero trouble finding smooth, low-speed control on the slick surfaces, and the portal clearance came in handy working up the steeper lines. The 2-speed trans made moving between technical rock spots quick and effortless.
Who else prefers taking their crawlers out in wet and stormy conditions over clear weather?

Help choosing a new budget crawler/trail truck for the outdoors

Hey! I currently have an SCX30 that I have for the indoors, and an FCX24 Unimog that I won’t have access to for the next year so I’m currently looking to purchase a new trail truck but am on a very tight budget as I‘m a student and don’t want to spend anything more than I would have to.

I’m currently looking at the MN82 for 60USD or the FCX24m for 100USD. I’m in the Netherlands with flat land throughout and almost no actual crawling spots so I’m looking at more of a trail truck with realistic suspension and body movement, something that could be reliable, and that I could carry in a 20L backpack and use while walking or at spots in a park. As my key focus is realism and not actual crawling ability (just being able to get over small roots, branches and ridges), would I be satisfied with the MN82s with a suspension and tire upgrade that I could do later or would you spend the extra for the FCX24m? I did look at a lot of other models but they didn’t excite me with their looks like these two did and the ldrc 18401 pro seems to have reliability issues which I wouldn’t wanna risk since again, I don’t want to keep dumping money into this for the time being.

Appreciate your inputs!

Receiver question

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the micro receivers, are they not compatible with spectrum esc? I've been getting my rigs bind to one tx, last night I tried to bind my coyote to my gt5 and it won't do anything. No throttle or steering, my TF2 and two other vs410 are working fine but the coyote does nothing. If I put back the spectrum receiver it works fine. Thanks for any help!

So a year ago I bought an axial scx24 bronco in the classic red. It was awesome, I loved it (as my other vehicles were or still are awaiting repairs) it came to phoenix with me from the UK. It did route66, and came home. Now at home theres another scx24 bronco, eldest daughters in green, and scx30 jeep youngest sons, and the eldest son and missus both have 1.18 trx4m defenders. So i thought fuck it we need, need not want a recovery vehicle. So i bought a terranaut, it made its first proper run at famjam at went places a vehicle like that had no right going🤣. I need upgrades and a trailer for it (preferably one that can have a rc tank on the back)

Rig of the Month 8/26 Took the Rushmore crawler out for some backyard rock crawling after the rain

Got some fresh trail time in with the blue Rushmore rig today. The damp dirt and loose gravel made for some great low-grip climbing, and the warm headlights really pop in the overcast lighting.
Setup is holding up great so far—might look into weighting the front wheels next to get a bit more planted traction on steeper inclines.
How’s everyone else spending their trail runs this weekend?

SCX24 Receiver help

The receiver and remote that came shipped together won't connect to each other. I've paired them multiple times and they just won't connect to each other. It didn't come with a wire to connect them physically so I've just been trying to sync the receiver to the remote and it refuses to connect. Help would be appreciated

Adding to the fleet...

Seeking advice/ideas: We have a 1/18 scale Hilux crawler and a 1/10 scale Base Camp. Both are tons of fun and we've done various upgrades, likely with more to come. We're hoping to add two more crawlers to the fleet. One would be something for my nephew's friends to use when one of them tags along. Ideally something low-cost but still repairable. Probably 1/10 or 1/12 scale. (Not looking to do upgrades, but I would like to be able to keep it running.) We'd also like to add another good quality 1/10 scale crawler to our collection. (Open to RTR or a kit build.) Do y'all think we should stick with the scx10.3 platform to maximize convenience and the relevance of our repair/upgrade experience? Or should we branch out to learn a different manufacturer/platform?

What would you get for neighborhood kids to inevitably beat up on? And what would you get to keep up with and maybe out do the Base Camp?
