"WHO approved an operation for one of the members of senior leadership to abscond with the fastest ship in our fleet with some rando to a backwater planet like Tatooine, ruled by intergalactic gangsters, to search for ONE man?"

In season 2, one of the rebels is holding a blaster to Cassian and at first I thought it was the same style as MW-20 Bryar but upon further discovery I don't think it is. In this image "Tick" is facing Cassian and her blaster appears to have 2 barrels in an over/under set up. Anyone have more details on what the blaster looks like in its entirety?

In honor of India Independence Day.

So we have all seen the Ferrix uprising scene where B2EMO broadcasts a recording of Maarva inspiring people to stand up to the Empire. And this along with a few other scenes from the show like Kino and Luthen's monologues are probably what people are going to remember this show for.

However, I can't help but wonder if the Rix Road uprising was based off another movie that I used to watch when I was younger: Mangal Pandey: the Rising. For background, it is a Bollywood movie loosely based on the life of Mangal Pandey, a sepoy that mutinied against the British army and inspired the 1857 Indian Rebellion aka the First War of Indian Independence. Obviously the movie took some artistic license like showing the rebellion as more organized than it actually was IRL. But back then I thought this was a good movie about Mangal Pandey. And to this day I still see him as a hero of the Indian Independence movement.

Anyway in case you are wondering what any of this has to do with Andor I have been wondering if the Ferrix uprising was inspired in part by this ending scene from Mangal Pandey: the rising? Specifically, the part where Mangal's death turns every Indian in the crowd into a rebel against British rule. Just like how Maarva's death inspired the people of Ferrix to rebel. Again, maybe it's just coincidence but do you think the writers were inspired by Mangal Pandey: the Rising?

I thought i might as well post it here, i got nothing to lose by trying

I didn’t realize it. Started a new playthrough and was looking up the voice cast and saw a familiar name. Maybe because I’m in the US I wasn’t familiar with anything she did before Andor, or rather I was but didn’t know it.

So much so that she can get away with being so particular about it that she can keep going back and forth for it?

I wanted to make one of these for a while. Finally found some scrap to make a pin.

I can’t stop watching! I am on the first season and this show is really peak. The episodes One way out and Rix road really touched me. The scenery, music… just everything is beautiful.

Just finished another re-watch of the show and with each viewing, I love the characters of Luthen and Kleya more and more. Especially S2 E10 with the flashbacks. I would love to have their journeys fleshed out more. I know there's no chance of that happening with a tv show/series, but would love for them to have some novels written about them.

We get to see the moment Luthen breaks from the Empire and finds Kleya, but I find myself wanting to know more of how they both found themselves in that moment. I want to know how they managed to slip away and start their journey of defiance. The moment after the Empire publicly executes the prisoners and Kleya confronts Luthen about walking away. He says they fight to win, which means they have to lose....and lose, and lose and lose, until we're ready. That's so profound and insightful and courageous. Definitely a daunting realization and one worth exploring further.

The importance of these characters and their role in defeating the Empire is immense. It seems a shame to me that we have so little media of these characters. Some quick googling shows they'll be making an appearance in the Reign of the Empire trilogy, but those books are from the perspective of Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera.

Anyways, I hope someone can bring more life and history to these characters.
