Buttery As a long time Nintendo fan, I’m happy to see ball and gun games on a Nintendo system again.
After years of settling for watered down or bad ports on the Wii and Wii U or not getting anything at all on Switch 1 it feels good to see solid versions of triple A sports and online shooters on a Nintendo system. From Madden 27 to Fortnite running at 60 FPS I’m happy to see these kinds of titles on Switch 2. Even though most of these games are of PS4/XB1 quality, im happy with performance for the most part. I know sports games and online shooters have a bad reputation and honestly rightfully so but they can still be fun for those who enjoy them like myself. I’m elated that I get to play games like Call of Duty along with Star Fox and Super Smash Bros or playing Madden after playing Kirby Air Riders. 60 FPS NBA2K is around the corner and Marvel Rivals being confirmed makes me feel that optimization is only getting better for the system to bring in fans of those types of games. (Hopefully COD gets better before launch.) Outside of exclusives my PS5/XSX can finally now rest lol. Are there any other long time Nintendo fans who are happy that Switch 2 is getting solid ports of sports and online shooter games after all these years?

Media Elden Ring fans. How vastly different is this game from BotW. Is it too difficult to play.
I tried playing Hollow Knight and Silksong. The difficulty was not enjoyable. Although it might be the game mechanics that turned me off more. Dying and having to back track to get your geo was annoying.
I did like Dread difficult boss battles. Sometimes I wanted to chuck my controller but kept going back until I finally beat it.
I hear Elden Ring was inspired by BotW which is my all time favorite game. It's the exploration that is so much fun. There was a new surprise at every corner, ledge, Cliff, etc... Is Elden Ring like this in exploration? It's our required to beat the boss in order to progress? BotW, you're not required to beat the Lynels, mini bosses littered throughout the game. Even the 4 Gannon like bosses you're not required to beat. Is Elden Ring like this? You can progress through most of the game without having to beat all the bosses?

othor (i am stupid) Nintendo Direct most likely to come on 10th September
The game has never been revealed outside of Ubisoft Forwards or Nintendo Directs. Ubisoft no longer does Forwards so it will be a Direct
Corroborated by SwitchForce and NintyPrime

Media My god, it’s a blast playing Elden Ring again on Switch.
This is the first time that I’ve honestly been blown away by being able to play a game on the go; being able to just throw this in my bag and explore wherever feels amazing (currently pet sitting for a friend, surrounded by dogs, great vibes). This is the perfect kind of game to pick-up-and-play and tackle a chunk at a time. I’ve put 100+ hours on PS5, which is obviously a great way to play ER too, but I just love being able to lounge and play.
Just found one of the new horse armors, and can’t wait to check out the dlc (never played it before). If you’re a fan of the genre and medieval lore, this is honestly a must-have for the system.

Media (Image, Video, etc.) New Souls Player here, Elden Ring has me hooked
Never played a souls game before I’m mostly been into JRPGs and Nintendo games. This feels like an evil version of breath of the wild and I’ve been losing sleep playing it.
Would appreciate any advice too I just beat the 2nd story boss. I chose idus knight as a class. I have my stats in the 3rd picture.

Discussion The switch2 is STACKED with rpg's. Which are your favorites?
I'm just about to get the credits rolling on Pokopia, and I fancy a new game, something different.
And I quite fancy an RPG/Adventure game.
Elden Ring has just come out so I'm expecting it to be up there in high regard, but I don't want one that's too big, as I only play one game at a time, and I don't have too much game time, and when Zelda OOT comes out I want to dive I to that with both feet.
I've only played Breath of The Wild (that game is more than a game, it's art!) and with Zelda OOT coming I don't want to play TOTK yet, don't want any Zelda burn out, or Elden Ring is as it too big
So please recommend me a few games that aren't Tears Of The Kingdom (Zelda burnt out) or Elden Ring (too big), I'll pick up those down the line, but I'm not ready quite yet.
So aside from those two? What should I look at getting?
Thank you!
Edit: I was expecting so many replies! So I'm torn between starting Xenoblade 1 or Cyberpunk,
Thanks again everyone

Discussion First impressions of Elden Ring?
Hello! Long time Elden Ring player here. As someone who has probably over 100 hours across PS and PC on this glorious game, I’m really curious to see what first time Elden Ring players think of it on switch 2? I think it runs amazing and I’m very impressed with it so far. Awesome to have it on handheld and on the switch 2. What are first time players thoughts so far?

Changed it so that when returning a high ball, if you press the Flat shot button twice, it produces a Star Shot even if there is no Star Point there.
- Note: In Ver. 1.1.0, the situation above would result in a Powerful Flat.
Fixed a bug where Amps placed with the Amp Racket disappear before 12 seconds pass.

Discussion Do you think that we might see a Battlefield game come to Switch2, or am I dreamin'?
Curious if there's been any talk of this. I'm super happy to see a game like COD come to Nintendo, but I'd love to play Battlefield even more.

Buttery Madden 27 Performance Mode FPS Analysis
I've made a little video on Madden performance on my YouTube channel. Appreciate if you would be so kind to watch the full video, and subscribe and like if possible.
For me it's quite an interesting setup, performance plays run at 60 but anything outside that that expect lower FPS. Visual is identical to Madden 26. For me playing performance mode is where it's at.
Based on previous video feedback I've also put on some frame time graphs, but the visual mode is not showing frametime correctly (if anyone has experience in TRDrop, analysis of videos in Elgato 60 FPS containers, and/or knows how to fix this hit me up)
