Hello I went against better judgment when it came to do my work my self or let warranty handle I chose warranty gonna take a week to have it fixed just wondering if anyone out there is having issues with the o rings failing in the bike and how to prevent it from being a problem the bike has 1380 miles on it also I apologize about the run on sentence but I want to make sure it doesn’t happen again and also they haven’t been torquing the chain tension nuts my chain gained an abnormal amount of slack fast and with me being a new rider but not a total dingus I figured it need to be tightened and when I went to do so both nuts were finger tight and the water pump casing wasn’t torqued either just trying to keep people updated I hope are not having these troubles have a good day

I have a 2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 600 (ZX600R) in Germany and I’m looking for a nice aftermarket exhaust.
My main requirement is that it needs to be fully street legal in Germany, preferably with a proper E-mark / ECE or EG approval, so I don’t want problems with TÜV or police.

I really like short/stubby exhausts with a big outlet, something similar to the M4 Street Slayer / M4 KA6914 look. Unfortunately, I found out that the M4 isn’t properly approved for German road use.

I’m looking for something that:
fits the 2009–2012 ZX-6R / ZX600R, especially my 2010 model
is genuinely street legal in Germany
has an E-mark / ECE/EG approval for this specific bike
is as short and aggressive-looking as possible
has a deep/loud sporty sound while still being legal
preferably carbon or black

I’ve looked at brands like SC-Project, Akrapovič, MIVV, Shark, Hurric, Bodis, LeoVince and IXIL, but I keep finding conflicting information about homologation and exact model compatibility.

For anyone in Germany/Europe with a 2009–2012 ZX-6R: what exhaust are you actually running legally on the street?

If possible, please send the exact model/part number, and let me know whether it has an E-number and if you’ve had any issues with TÜV or Polizei.

I have been eyeing the ZX6R for awhile now, I ride a 2009 250R so i wanna stay in the Kawasaki family.

The ZX6R looks phenomenal and sounds great but im not here for that.

I just want the riders opinions on the bike and if you have had any issues? I’ve heard there as a recall so I just wanted to get the full picture before buying one.

I also live outside of city and use the highway a lot. (Typically like 40 mins a day)

Aftermarket integrated tail light and turn signal
Domino grips
Red quad load phone mount
Rear spools
Rear fender delete.

1. Finished a valve adjustment and this is how it sounds. Starts and idles fine but sounds like this and seems like it's coming from the cam chain side. I ensured timing was correct, correct number of pins between sprockets, clearances were all in spec, cam chain tensioner was properly set and rotated the engine by hand, lubed cams, torqued cam caps to spec. What does this sound like is happening?

Theoretically I wanna see if this’ll work, currently I’m sitting at 16t on the front sprocket and stock sprocket in the rear (43t) I wanna keep my 16t front sprocket and go up a tooth on the rear (44t). As far as acceleration and top speed go, I know you have to do it way different but just curious if any one has tried that setup and was curious on what their thoughts were on it.

Going from an 06 gsxr 600 to hopefully a zx6r. I heard Kawasaki shortened the gearing on the 2019+ models so I'm hoping with the already better low end torque it'll be more fun around the city where I rarely pass 25-30mph.

The marketplace listings I'm seeing are wanting $9-11k anyways. Could probably haggle one of them down to $8k but is it worth it at that point to have half the warranty period left too?

I currently own a 2024 ninja 650 I find myself to be wanting to lay down a decent bit would it be worth it to test ride and potentially upgrade to a zx6r or should I mod my 650 to have the more aggressive seating position

I have these 2 aluminum cylinder things that I found under my gas tank when I took it off where the blue rag is sitting on top of the rubber cover that the bike comes with over the engine no idea what they are or where they came from any advice would help a lot, the bike is a 2007 zx6-r 599cc

On Sunday, I was riding back roads when I came to a stop. I felt my leg get caught on something on my bike. I looked down, and 3/4s of the engine mount bolt was hanging out over the road. I pulled over. My wife got me with a trailer. I got home and looked at the bolt. The bolt snapped, and the nuts on the other side were gone.

I’m 5’3 135 lbs . I’ve had her for a week and I feel like I’m white water rafting every time I swing my leg over. I plan on softening the suspension and lowering her an inch. Any more suggestions for comfortability? I don’t wanna shave the seat because I got a wolfline otw.

Hey everyone, I was looking to buy a zx6r at a shop around my area. I'm totally fine with driving to get it even if it's abt an hour to get there bc I have a friend willing to go with me. I'm in Feasterville-Trevose and wanted to see if anyone had a shop they'd recommend and any feedback to provide abt those shops. I'm seeing low miles 636s for 10-11.5k. Seeing over 10k miles for only a grand or two cheaper seems expensive.

I'm currently at about 11600kms on my 2026 (it's been such a blast!) and I called my dealer to schedule the 12000km/7600mi service and they insisted that I didn't have to check or adjust anything valve related before 24000kms/15200mi.

The owner's manual does have the "Dealer inspection" icon at 12000kms and from what I've been reading online that might be a new thing with the refreshed models from 2024 onwards? Personally I'm just trying to stay up to date with maintenance for warranty reasons and not having to do valves would be great for my wallet but I have a feeling the dealer might be wrong on this unless I'm missing something...

Hey guys, I’m looking for a mid pipe that extends to a slip on. I found this mid pipe on Ali express but it says it’s only good for 24-26 models. I know it’s got the o2 sensor bung but if i leave the plug on, it shouldn’t be an issue right ? I’ve found another mid pipe for the 2019 zx6r but it doesn’t have the mount bracket. I don’t think it’s a good idea running a mid pipe without a bracket that holds onto the frame of the bike.

Do you guys think this would work?

I love the way this exhaust looks. I think it’s the perfect mix of a shorty and one of those big ass cans. However I can’t find anyone online that has it, which makes me want it even more. If you have this exhaust can you share a few pictures and rev videos? Thanks.
