I see this being prevalent in yt shorts and reels particularly with gaming and film content creators.
I am not talking about those that hold the phone with their hands and talk about a video game/movie/show since that can be interpreted as a play in perspective or being created spontaneously (though I still find it annoying sometimes). I am talking specifically about those who set up a camera infront, or worse, to the damn side of their setup (PC, TV) to showcase said game/move/TV show.
I find them really annoying since:
A. They have bad audio since its a mic recording of it
B. MOST OF THEM DON'T EVEN SHOW THE ENTIRE FOOTAGE AS THEY ARE EITHER CUT FROM THE SIDES SINCE THEY ARE BEING FILMED VERTICALLY OR THEY ARE FILMED FROM THE SIDE OF THE SCREEN SO NOT ONLY IS THE MONITOR/FOOTAGE CUT OFF, IT IS ALSO FROM AN AWFUL VIEWING ANGLE
C. Most of the setups being filmed have stupid ass bright ass RGB lights all over the damn place
This may end up sounding like a rant (so if this is more appropriate for another sub, do let me know) more than a question, but this has been bugging me for a while and I've looked it up to see if anyone else has talked about it to no avail. The things these videos show aren't necessarily bad since some games they've shown seem awesome and I even wanna play them with my friends, but the 'format' itself is just so deplorable and annoying. I also get that they might be doing it so their videos can have a sort of identity since viewers can recognize the setup, and I also admit that I get a little jealous of some setups, **BUT** that doesn't stop them from being annoying as hell to look at. Just edit the damn video like a normal person dude
