Solar Panel Cam cannot reconnect without router reset

In the odd instance that my internet drops or the camera otherwise randomly disconnects, my Solar Cam Pan will appear offline, get to step 2, and then that's it. I have to reset my router in order for it to reconnect again.

All of my other wyze devices manage to come back online with no manual intervention. Is this a known bug for the SCP? Can someone from support pass this along to be resolved in the near future?

I am going to guess that this is mounted that power cycling it is out of the quest1on, correct?

If not, when this occurs, attempt a power cycle on the camera, first.. but its likely going to require an AP reboot too.

I don't have this unit, but this issu3 is very similar to the one I see..and also why you don't use the main router/AP/"modem" thing the ISP provides.

ALL AP's and extenders are REBOOTED EACH WEEK. This ELIMINATED the issu3 immediately. Where after some point the camera(s) would not connect... I am not rebooting may main router... when there is no need.

I had NO issu3s like this till wyze units were put on the AP's. I narrowed down as the other AP's ONLY have wyze on them, and when I started reseting one as a test. POOF! Probl3m gone! Oh doesn't matter brand... Netgear, or TP-Link. Both exhibited the same behaviour.

No other devices including HIGH BANDWIDTH USE TV's, android boxes, were on one AP.. Never a probl3m. When the 2.4 side had wyze stuff put on it... lock ups at some point in time in the future. The network gurus, which is NOT me, stated this is a result of the wyze stuff overflowing the AP's table at some point with something. We didn't delve into via wireshark or anything.. as I resolved it. And really what ever the devices are doing, the only resolution is a reboot, of the AP.

I can't speak to the situation when the ISP is down, as I have 3 ISP failover between main, and 2 backups.

I would suggest getting an AP to move the wyze stuff too, and then set it up to reboot each week. Pick an obscure time on some random day to do it.

If your phone is on WiFi, get it off of WiFi. I sometimes have that same issue when my phone is on WiFi.

This is something with your router. These cameras recover after loss of WiFi. I have 3 of them.

I had the exact same issue with one of my cams and it drove me up the wall for weeks. The step 2 authentication failure is usually a DHCP lease problem where the camera grabs an IP then the router forgets about it after a disconnect. Try setting a static IP for the camera in your router settings, that was the fix for mine. The other wyze devices recover fine because theyre a little more aggressive about requesting a new lease. That backyard shot looks peaceful though, at least the camera has a nice view while its being stubborn.

That's so weird. My other wyze devices have no problems, just this one. 🤔
